These are wonderful little headphone amps designed for PRACTICING. Will it replace a $2500 Fractal rig?? No. Can it run 8 delays while Bluetoothing it to wireless headphones with zero latency?? No. Will it do everything else you can think of? No. Will it smoke your head in headphones while jamming to your favorite tunes?? HELL YES. It’s more fun than you can imagine. An absolute bargain for the price. 😃
@ I use the Sonys, but any decent headphone will work. You’d be amazed how great it sounds in those cheap wired Apple earbuds. The free ones. Almost anything will work great. 😃
Great video. What cord did you use to plug into the Mini from the MM+? How do you like the Mini? When I go to a Jam session and use the MM+ to a Fender amp what adapter would you use?
Hi! For this video I used an 1/8th inch to 1/4inch cable to plug from the mustang micro directly into the mini! I think the mini is great for what it is. It’s a small speaker, so it’s not the most amazing sound, but for a rechargeable practice amp, I like it quite a bit. As far as plugging into an amp with the Mustang, I would use the same cable as I mentioned earlier. I just added some Amazon links to the description of this video for the cable I used, if that helps you. Cheers!
Hello there! At about 7:00 minutes you were talking about the QR code. I think the issue is when you add the serial number as requested, it does not recognize it. It repeats in this loop and you can't go any further in the registration process. I encountered this very same problem. Unfortunately, your explanation stopped right before, where the problem actually occurred. I'll try to contact Fender about this. Thanks for the video!
Of course. Just watch the signal levels as you’ll be double amping it. You’d need a 1/8th inch to 1/4inch adapter. Also, you’d want to make sure your amp doesn’t color the sound too much or it won’t sound the same as it does with headphones. Cheers!
I got both waza air and the first get micro. I find that the waza is not as good a practice tool compared to the micro. Because I think the air do mask some of the bad mistakes and noise from your playing , and the mustang do have more play time and don’t have to charge a extra item. I would imagine the plus would have less battery life, but I would expect it will be an upgrade. I am going to get one soon.
That’s possibly true. I love the WaZa, but after a while my head get gets sweaty where the pads connect to the sides of my head, and I hate that! Cheers!
I don’t think it would work too good for that. It’s kinda specifically only meant for practicing really with headphones, but you can output it to an amp if you want to. I don’t know if it would be too reliable though. Cheers!
Since this is a "Mustang" is the Compressor in the Mustang combo amps separate from other Stomp pedals or is this a general Mustang limitation? Never used the WAZA Air, but the "Stage Feel" option in the Kat GO that's supposedly similar, is pretty nice. Defaults to off though, so some folks might miss out on it. I've been procrastinating on getting a Plus when the GO is suiting me nicely already. But I want the variety of clean amps the Plus has so eventually I'll get one.
Unfortunately, the compressor option is only available in the “Stomp” section. The Kat Go is great, but I’ve been surprised how much better the Micro+ is. Cheers!
Can you charge it as you use it, well in terms of the original Mustang Micro... as you saw, yes you can. However, if the light turns red... unplug it and turn the device off. (the interior of the device can over-heat, mind you... in just over 2 years of ownership this has only happened one time) But I don't actually ever charge and use it at the same time anymore.
I wish I could help. It seems like a number of people have been having that problem. I would contact Presonus and see if they have an option for the download.
Can i plug a 3,5mm to 6,3mm cable to use this? Like the 3,5mm jack goes in my mustang micro plus and on the other end of the cable 6,3mm jack in my guitar amp. Or does it also workt with a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable and a female 3.5mm to male 6.3mm connector? From mustang micro plus to combo amp (ofc a cabinet wont work with this)
Does Micro Plus connect with a Bluetooth Guitar Amplifier or Speaker? If yes, suggest some models and the process to pair it with the device. Thanks in advance
@@mathena-aps the Bluetooth is so you can hear songs from your phone/tablet and play along. Think of it as Bluetooth in. Bluetooth out (to an amp) wouldn’t work because there would be noticeable latency.
If you mean in terms of when you are tuning, it will automatically detect the notes, so it would detect D if you were dropping the E. If that’s what you are asking.
Technically you can’t run two separate delays that’s true, but the 2290 is a multi delay effect. So if you use that it allows two separate delay times at the same time.
Can you use this amp without the internet where you just have how the guitar sounds without any effects or do you have to be connected to the internet?
You can use it without the internet or your phone! 👍🏽 You’ll just need your phone to make all the adjustments to the pedals and stuff for the presets. But if you were to program all the presets into the device at home or whatever, then you can take the Mustang Plus out and do whatever you need without phone/internet. Make sense?
I’m not sure that’s possible. As you probably know with Apple and the iPhone in particular, they get very finicky with audio controls and multiple apps. But I’m happy to learn I’m wrong if someone knows a workaround!
@@CompanyGripGuitar thats a bummer. I knew in the mustang micro you could use an apple camera connection kit and it would work, was just wondering if theres an easier workaround with the plus. Thank you anyway!
You could run a 1/8th->1/4 inch cable from the mustang micro plus to an amp. I can’t vouch for how it would sound or if the signal would be too hot, but technically it can be done.
Hi Ben, are you, or any of your viewers being driven mad by the buffering? Holy **** I've only been using the thing a couple of days and it's becoming unusable.
@@CompanyGripGuitar I'm on an Android phone. When I tap on Audition or Download it can take two or three minutes before it connects. I get that spinning circle while it decides what to do next. You can imagine how frustrating this is trying to preview every tone.
@@fluffy6737 if you are adept at electronics I guess it might be possible but deliberately made tricky. When the battery eventually plays up they'll be wanting you to spend money on the next new improved version :(
Didn’t know this existed. It’s definitely tempting, but at $130, it’s damn pricey for a device that will eventually get tossed in the trash since there’s no way to swap out the battery when it degrades. Ultimately I want gear that’s built to last, especially when you’re paying a premium.

Yeah! A major bargain for sure.
The bassman amp and the comp pedal are exactly what I needed to practice bass. It's great.

Another PSA from Grip. Thanks!

Can the Fender Micro Plus be lined though to a regular amplifier? i.e.In order to gain the benefit of its effects at room volume. i.e. No cans?

Just to be sure... would be this device appropriate for a stage performance? Thanks in advance and thanks also for your work, we really appreciate!
I don’t think it would work too good for that. It’s kinda specifically only meant for practicing really with headphones, but you can output it to an amp if you want to. I don’t know if it would be too reliable though. Cheers!
Do you think they will update the limitations of the app ? Have they ever done that before ?
I hope they do. I think if we leave them comments about it they are more likely to.
Is there a noise gate available? In Amplitube/Tonex, most high-gain presets I use require a noise gate to achieve a clean, pleasant sound.
@@odin1983 yes, off, low, med, high, max.

You should be able to use any combination of adapter, just be mindful of double amping the device and being REALLY loud if you’re going into an amp.
How is the sound in headphones ?
Obvs gonna depend on what headphone you have, but I’ve tried it with both wired Apple headphones and Audio Technicas, and I thought it was great
Is there a way to change channel or preset via a footswitch? I know there is one available for the boss katana go....
How to know if its fully charged ? Because mine flashes green every few seconds
The light should turn solid green when it’s done charging.

Can the Fender run two delays simultaneously?
Nope. Only one effect per bank category per patch. So you get 1 reverb, 1 delay, 1 modulation and 1 “stompbox” (distortion, compressor, eq or filter).
