I recently decided to buy my first electric guitar and yesterday I bought new Fender micro plus as my first amplifier. I absolutely have no idea about all of this stuff but this product just seems to be so versitile I diceded to spend more than I originally wanted to get it. Your review reassured me I spent my money well buying this product.

I will buy the guitar tomorrow (used Yamaha Pacifica 012 to be precise). My dad bought acoustic guitar some time ago so I had a few chances to learn the complete basics. It was really fun, but it lacked this ,,coolness,, I get from just hearing some simple sounds of an electric. Who knows maybe it’s a start of a new hobby which I wanted to try for ages
Well done on your choice to become a musician. My only advice to you is to use YOUR ears. It is very hard to go wrong dialing in a tone. It either sounds good or it doesn't. Plus by turning knobs you will learn what each control does. In a short time you will get an understanding of what a patch/preset is made from. Just downloading other people's efforts is fine but learning and discovery is a more fulfilling path. Good luck.
@@dadtimejamtime first guy I wanted to buy guitar from stopped answering my texts. Then I bought it online and still a week later it hasn’t been even sent. The guy isn’t answering my texts too. At this point I think I will have to ask the platform I bought it on to return the money and then wait some time before they will actually send it back to me. I bought one of these. I already had a nylon-string Yamaha Silent Guitar, and wanted the same silent capability with my Telecaster. And oh boy, I cannot believe how good it is. Everything I wanted it to be, and I am also learning about amps and effects. Definitely highly recommended, both for not disturbing the neighbours, and for pure fun.
Hey there! I've been on an amazing musical journey learning to play the acoustic guitar, and I'm loving it. I often come home from work in the early hours of the morning, really wanting to play my guitar. However, with everyone else in the household asleep, it can be quite a challenge. That's why I had the idea to buy an electric guitar and some headphones. This product seems the perfect solution for letting me play whenever I want. Thank you for the awesome review!
Man, that little opening double stop riff you did really opened my eyes to some things. Took me a second to find exactly what you were doing but now I see the octave groupings and it’s unlocked a little of the fretboard for me. I love being able to see something that’s been there the whole time in a new way. And to think, I only came here because I’m interested in this micro amp. Thanks for sharing the knowledge on the micro amp and that riff!
@@Jeff_H_the_Guitarist hey! Happy to help! I’m on the same journey man - new aspects of the fretboard just unlock sometimes. It’s always amazing when they do. That whole double stop/4ths pentatonic hammer-on Jimi Hendrix kind of stuff was a big unlock for me too from watching random players on UA-cam. Glad I could pay it forward! Thanks for watching and sharing - makes it all worth it. Cheers!
First time on this channel, landed here whilst looking for a review of this Product. Fantastic, and very enjoyable video. A great review of the Fender Mustang micro plus and the add on software demo. I’ve gone ahead and bought one, for my son (14) who has been playing for a year, on the strength and your enthusiasm for the product. As a non-player I always need solid information to learn about products that may help my son’s enjoyment and learning. This will let him play about with sounds/amps/pedals combinations. Having his headphones plugged in also helps keep the stress levels down in the house too!!😎 Currently going back through your other videos. Keep up the good work.👍🏻
@@KevinTurner-s5b hey! Thanks so much for watching and the feedback! Glad it’s helpful - makes it all worth it. This truly is a pretty universal device- good for pretty much any guitar player out there. Hope your son finds it useful. Feel free to reach out if either of you have any questions along the way! Best of luck, and you should start playing guitar too! Cheers 🤘
Heck yeah 🙌 I gave up on it for a little bit too but now it’s mostly just a form of self care for me at this point. Making time to zen out and just jam with no real expectations. Love this for that. Welcome back!
Awesome and thorough review! In my books, stereo effects are a must - I picked up the Boss Katana Go when it first came out (sadly discontinued at this time) because it did have these. The Mustang Plus now goes on my acquisition list pending a head to head review (GAS just never ends...).
@@dadtimejamtime Comparison of the clean/edge of breakup/lead tones would be great along with the comparison of effects especially the stereo ones (I'm very partial to Leslie/Vibe types). The Katana Go is supposedly an actual Katana shrunk down and can use presets available at Boss's Tone Central. Would you know if there is something similar for the Mustang Plus? The Katana disables stereo effects when the Stage Feel mode is engaged - something that was confounding until I disengaged it. This might be due to processing limitations, but it would have been nice for Boss to have documented this "feature".
Very nice in-depth and yet concise review. What I liked about the original is that you could mix and match without needing an app. But setting up your five favorite preset tones and the ability to change the tempo on delay and echo effects make this much more usable especially for recording original songs. When a delay affect is out of tempo it makes it almost unusable
100% on the tap tempo - super nice addition. And with 100 preset spaces, you can get pretty creative with the mixing and matching! Thanks for watching and the kind words! Cheers!
Great video, sir! You deserve a sub. I’ve been checking out your other videos and I love the down-to-earth nature of your videos. Keep up the great work!
First time on your channel, gotta say this is an awesome review of a new product. I also own the original, and initially I didn't think I would upgrade, but after watching this video I definately will. Good job!
Mustang micro plus VS flamma fx20 would be a good comparison! Basically half the price twice the amps and both have app connectivity. Nice review thanks, seems like winner!
I was looking at cheap multi effect pedals, but now know I was looking at the wrong thing. Glad I found this before buying. This is what I really wanted but couldn't articulate.
@@DoobieDoctor5000 oof - yeah I hate when that happens. I just bought a new universal audio apollo x8 right before they released the new ones - a lot of money to buy something now a little outdated. I’m keeping my original MM with a usb-c cable with my travel guitar - it’s been a nice grab and go for little weekend trips and stuff so far. Can still record to my phone and all that with it when I’m Gone.
@@dadtimejamtime Yeah I had big dreams for my MM until I tried multi-track w/ monitoring. I tried two different setups (I believe one via USB-C and one using both USB-C and BT). One just produced nasty, ear-piercing feedback, and the other recorded the drum track onto the guitar track, when what I really wanted was the isolated guitar track but in-time to the drum track I was playing to. I still get a lot of use out of my MM but that revelation was a huge disappointment and put a damper on my plans to record anything other than foot-timed guitar. I'm deaf in my left ear so even though I use a single-piece headset by default, I don't have a 2nd ear to hear the drum track.
@DoobieDoctor5000 yeah - it’s nice that they fixed the multi-track recording/monitoring here with the MMP. I’ve been seeing some mustang micros selling on reverb - I think a lot of people are just taking the loss and upgrading
Thanks! Awesome. You didn’t even mention that it’s a digital tuner. I’m definitely upgrading. It’s a tuner/audio interface/amp all in one. Worth every penny
I'm glad I stumbled on this video. I'm a dad, I stay up late, playing quietly in the living room (I say playing, learning to play, currently terribly), I don't really get much me time and this seems like the perfect solution. I might be really feeling the cost of living crisis but the price just seems too high for me, I would have thought this would have been around £60-£70, but as it's over £100 I can't really justify it, especially when I'm looking at a Harley Benton Tele from Thomann that's only £85, hard sell in that sense. I really liked your review of it though it was good to hear your thoughts on the previous iteration Vs the new and your anecdote about losing track of time because of having one of these, I think that sold it to me on its own.
@@pkbreeze08 fair shout on the price - check it through Flamma FX10 or the Nux Mighty Plug Pro. You’re definitely paying a premium for the Fender name on this. But there are more affordable options. Cheers mate 🤘
Yeps, I just got one for myself and one as a gift for my brother--and it's a wonderous sonic adventure. Hard to believe so much fun can be found in a device so small and affordable. Awesome. Great job, Fender! And great review. See ya! 🎶🎸🤙🤓
Hi I am happy to find you and this plug-in device. And after watching you use it I am sold there a lot of people adding one. And as everyone else I would like to add that guitar. I say thank you for the video
I just returned this because it doesn't pick up a passive signal from my piezo pickup on my Traveler. Replaced with the Brian May Vox AP-BM headphone amp.
I think you sold me. I fee like it hasn't been that long since I bought the OG mustang micro but my biggest pet peeve was needing to refer to that index card what light indicates what. You talked this up pretty good and it's great having a portable amp like this so I can practice anywhere.
@@robt6127 honestly it’s like the difference between going from a flip phone to a smart phone - just a whole platform to experiment and get inspiration from. It’s like when people say buying a new pedal can inspire a whole new song or more. Now you have 25 new pedals to experiment with I’m just hoping they take a page out of positive grid’s book and release firmware updates that include more pedals and amps occasionally.
@@EarleMonroe this one is definitely not frustration free - with 100 presets and little buttons you have to tap a lot. But way easier than the index card!
@@dadtimejamtime I like the tap tempo you show for setting delay settings. I can’t find whether it has a click metronome you can use for practicing. Do you know if it has that?
I have the original FMM which is great. Two questions regarding the FMM Plus: 1) Did Fender improve the feel/damping of the volume pot? The original is sensitive to accidental movement. 2) How is the FMM Plus battery performance? The original FMM would run for around 6 hours (when new), but the FMM Plus has to power a small screen.
Hey - volume pot feels pretty similar - pretty much feels like the same build/components. As for the battery life, fender says 4 hours - not sure if that’s with the phone connection or not. The screen auto shuts off to save battery life and so far I’ve used mine for at least 5 hours without charging it. So it’s probably somewhere between 4-6 depending on the features you’re using
@@dadtimejamtimeThank you for replying. Seems a good run time. Would have a liked a more positive (friction) volume control, but no big issue. Will look into the features in more detail. The tuner is a good addition, and lots more amp models and tonal options via the app.
I wish they'd add a looper/overdub feature, so you could actually practise stacking tracks on the thing without having to plug in to your computer and use a DAW. And of course, the ability to save those jams would be a big plus... Are there any other brands that do this?
@@PaisleyPatchouli I haven’t come across any headphone amps that have a looper. The flamma fx10 & 20 have built in drum loops. And the positive grid spark 2 has a looper and you can plug headphones into it, but I don’t know if you can save your loops down - it’s also compatible with a foot switch to control the looper as an extra purchase. Let me know if you find anything else out!
I'm looking hard at the Spark 2 and a wireless connection, this is a compelling product! If I still had to keep my volume down this would maybe be a stronger contender. Thanks for running this through the paces for us.
@@jimlipscomb3236 spark + wireless is an awesome setup. Despite having a plethora of amps, I use my Spark in my living room the most often - such a clean, quick setup.
I’ve got the OG. It was better than I expected at the time but there was a bunch of frustrations. I think the sounds and UI look really impressive BUT I wonder if the POD Express might be a better option. Battery option, headphones, but you can connect it to an amp. I think now with the app for that pedal it’s going to change how you can use it. What an amazing time to be playing guitar.
I’d kinda ruled out the POD until the desktop software came out. The Plus is so convenient and small which is a bonus. I think being able to run the output into a speaker is good, although I know to some extent it defeats the object. I think if they can somehow nail Bluetooth headphones and have playback then there’d be not much you couldn’t do.
I'm planning on picking one of these up. I bought the first version of it so I could play with headphones at work. I sold it this spring in anticipation of the boss katana version, but then they stopped making it. I went into my local guitar store to ask if they carried it, and they told me that Fender was coming out with this. The original version was so fantastic, but having a screen will be a game changer I think. Thanks for the video
Thanks for the review. I've had the PLUS a few days now. I already owned the original Micro for a few years, and loved it. I'm bummed about a few things you didn't mention. The biggest issue is the bugginess going on with my iPad/Plus/Tone app. I suspect it's the Tone app primarily, but it may be poor connectivity. I'm not sure if it's the connectivity with Bluetooth or the wireless network or both in concert with one another. I filed a case. I'm very technical, so it's not a newbie problem. I see others with the same complaint. It's not connectivity on my end, and it doesn't seem to be on the iPad or the Plus either. Some functions (like pair) happy instantly. But cloud functions that try to go thru Tone frequently fail and HANG especially. Only way around it (sorta) is to close the Tone app and try again.
Haven’t noticed on my iPhone to MMP - maybe it’s an iPad thing? Keep me posted on what you find out. The ease with which finding and connecting worked blew my mind. Was expecting a lot more issues tbh…
@@dadtimejamtime Sure, I'll let you know what becomes of the logged case. I'm confident it isn't an iPad thing. I'm on the latest release, have no problems with any other similar software like Boss or Tone by itself. Remember that this device is trying to do a lot more connectivity/handshaking than it had to do in version 1. I'll bet a firmware will come out soon once they re-test connectivity on lots of devices and any changes to Bluetooth since the time they first built it. That's a lot of regression testing.
@@dadtimejamtime It took Fender a while to answer my case, but they did! They have just released an update. I'll let you know what they've fixed, and what they've broke. 🤣 I might be worthy for you to make a video about it, and the update process with the PLUS.
@@dadtimejamtime I'm just sipping my morning coffee. I was going to look for it today. Fender didn't provide me with a link. 😆 I'll let you know. I may have to ask in the case. UPDATE: You are correct. I've just replied back in my case to ask for a link to it. Don't hold your breath.
9:16 Wow, you have a lot of guitars! (Or cases at least 😂). Great video, thanks. I have the micro v1 but the lack of interface is a bummer for me. Think I’ll be upgrading to the Plus for sure.
An extra $30 would be great. Here in Australia I got the original for $142 and you're lucky to get the Plus for less than $300. This stuff is always way cheaper in the States.
@guyg2005 I love the Nashville tele - used to have one but sold it because I was going to mod my own (still haven’t done it though). I love the middle position Strat sound so having that + a tele bridge and neck is great. Haven’t done the giveaways yet - will do when I get 5k & 10k subscribers 🙏
Few years back I learned how to record directly to my iPhone from your video. Now as I’m waiting for this “plus” to arrive I’m so happy you put a video out again. Very helpful videos. Thanks PS: Do I go through the same process to record directly to my iPhone as before?
Hey! Rad! Glad I could be helpful! Yeah process is pretty much the same except now when you enable monitoring it’ll monitor right back out through your headphones in the mustang micro. And if you have an iPhone with usbc instead of lightning, you don’t need the camera adapter anymore. Thanks so much for watching and reaching out. So grateful that this stuff helps people!
Could you please show or explane your cabling setup for this? Use and listen and mod with the phone and, first of all, record it? This would be very helpful! Great Video, by the way! And is there any chance to run this into a real amp?
Sure! I’ll do that! And yes you could run it into a real amp with the right cables/adapters. But depending on the amp the quality of the sound will vary. For instance if you plug this into something like a flat response powered speaker cab or set of powered speakers/PA it’ll probably sound best. If you plug it into a guitar amp, you’ll end up with the sound of an amp into an amp. So in that case you can choose a DI amp model and it should sound pretty good! Worth a shot.
Subscribed I purchased a few of the originals for my kids and I to practice without. Bothering other. The thing I didn't like that they dod t seem to fix is that you can't use blue tooth headphones you have to use wired ones
Yeah, I think Bluetooth just isn’t the right technology for it because of latency. That’s why the Boss Waza Air headphone amp includes headphones with it and uses their wireless guitar technology instead of Bluetooth. UHF or 2.4/5.8GHz radio bands are the typical, low latency options for audio wireless. Thanks for watching and subscribing! Cheers!
@@StarDarkAshes I’ve used my original Mustang Micro for three years almost daily and haven’t had any issues with it - this one feels pretty similar and with the app you don’t have to press the buttons as much, so less chance for them to wear out even.
I just bought my first guitar ever - an affinity telecaster. Ive been meaning to get it for a while, and was originally going to buy the first micro because of your review on it. However, your little riff on swirling echoes was one of the best things ive ever heard and this review has me set on the plus. Thank you so much! I just have a question, is recording on the iphone the same with this product as the micro?
Excellent review. Just bought the micro plus and I’m loving the ease of use. Have the Katana Go which I also love but I think the Fender may have the edge for me at the moment.
@@suzanneroach4922 thank you for the kind words 🙏 glad it was useful! And that’s awesome to know about the Katana Go. What is it that gives it the MMP the edge do you think?
@@dadtimejamtime this is only my opinion of course, but I found it easier to use the app and navigate between patches. Both are fabulous tools but I’m very happy I decided to get the Fender as well.
@@dadtimejamtime P.S. Saying as the Katana Go lets one also play bass and acoustic guitar (right?), perhaps it would be worthwhile to also consider the Mustang Micro‘s suitability for that. Not that acoustic guitar needs a headphone amp, but lots of folks out there are using the Katana Go as part of their live rigs, by plugging it into a tuner or some other pedal on their pedalboards. As such, acoustic guitar might also benefit from that.
@@scottbecker3485 good shout on acoustic thing - I’m working on the Bass as a separate video, that’s a good idea comparing with the katana go. The live rig thing is interesting I’ll have to do some research!
@@dadtimejamtime Good on you to investigate bass with these units. As for the live rig idea, there‘s even a FB page devoted to ways of using the Katana Go that way, complete with boxes some folks have designed for the purpose, while others have somehow extracted the innards of the Katana Go and remounted them inside said boxes with switches on them. Crazy but true. ;-) At any rate, the basic idea is just using a standard guitar cable to hook up with whatever pedal(s) you use, and sticking the Katana Go (or Mustang Micro) into the first pedal of the chain, with an adapter cable coming out of the headphone amp to convert to standard jack (for the next pedal in the chain). Or else slapping the headphone amp in at the end of a chain of effects, before going off to the powered speaker or FOH. The Katana Go has a definite edge over the Fender, though, in terms of remote control, since one can use the Boss wireless footswitch with it, and I don‘t believe Fender has any such switch.
The plus is a game changer. An excellent product worth each dollar it costs. I like it a lot. That said, it is very likely that the previous version was a purposedly "marketed prototype" an unfinished piece of gear. This fact annoys me a little. I mean, the awkward color-coded cheat sheet, the absence of a tuner, no tone app, no presets to be saved... Even a child would have known that a well-designed micro amp should not require a cheat sheet and should offer, at the very least, a built-in tuner. As an ex-owner of the old micro I feel like I have been somewhat deceived into buying an unfinished product. Am I touchy and skittish or am I pointing out something true?
@@antalantal2366 my take is that it was a quick way to market ahead of competition with bigger, more full featured plans. Proved out the market to let them make the case for the plus. I got good value out of the original - used it quite often and it still works - it’s not a brick or anything now. As a simple, screen-free (which means distraction free) device I still like it. A few times that I’ve gone to use the tone app with the plus I’ve gotten sucked into work email, text messages, instagram/UA-cam and it sort of broke my flow. Picking up my phone can be risky when it comes to attention. I’m generally left feeling positive about the first iteration and this next one as well. That being said, totally hear your pov and understand it. First one should have been $79 and the plus should be $120.
@@dadtimejamtime Thank you for you answer. The previous version is very far from being even remotely bad. Nevertheless I cannot help but thinking that it was clearly and blatantly incomplete: rushed into the (wild) market. The tone app is an improvement but it is not an option I use a lot. Only to fine tune, if needed, presets to be recorded. Indeed the default options already sound great and I rarey feel the need to fine-tune them. But the display, tuner and the 25 amps + effects. Oh dear, those new features are such a great improvement! Great product, among the best purchases I ever made
1st travelling or just playing in the garden near home. This is the only way. 2nd - this is the future .Such an idea in a bigger form factor with touch screen would be nicer- It will sit on the desk ( like a padle) and an inside cable comes from the guitar to an IN port , also it will have a charging USB C port and an earphones or speakers OUT port . This Will do the same trick without the need for outside software. All the software will be on the device with a touch screen display and ability to upgrade the software or add fearures or bundles. It wil be in the size and thickness of a cellular phone so battery life could be even 24 houres or more.
Thorough run through of Plus. I must have missed this, when you were recording and monitoring simultaneously were you connected to Garageband through USB or through Audio Interface Line Level In? Gave my Micro to my grandson when I bought the Katana GO, but I think the Plus is worth buying for the clean amps and other big improvements.
Very usefull video. I had the first edition and change it for the SpartGo to have the posibility of playing without headphones cause sometimes I was able to feel getting tired of using headphones. But right after I started using the SparkGo I saw how much I missed the high portability and how simple the first edition is. I think I will still go with the first edition today, just becuase when I had it I was allways playing electric guitar on an amp. But know I go back to not plugging the spark go, becuase I have to have the cable and the amp on the table and I can not move free on the room. The plus edition looks like the normal evolution but I don't need it cause I would look for the flexibility on bigger products, that being said, it is cool to have it becuase sometimgs I was missing the posibility of tuning the sound depending of the guitar I was using. but for me having the tunner the is a big plus. I might get the plus version.
Interesting choices - they both have 20+ amp models and 25 effects. It’ll be easier to edit the signal chains/presets with the app on the mustang micro than having to do it directly on the lt25, but you have lots of versatility there too. The biggest difference is obviously the speaker in the lt25 - if you’re looking for something to be able to play outloud with, lt25 is the option. If it’s purely for silent practice, I’d go mustang micro all day - such a simpler setup. The portability makes it so easy to just build the habit of picking up the guitar and playing. Once you get your presets set up, app dependence goes away with the MMP. I’ve opened the app maybe a handful of times since making this video.
@@TheKSH991 nice - makes sense - highly recommend the positive grid spark by the way. Not sure if you’ve looked into them or not, but the tech is a little more updated and new (Bluetooth, etc) so might be worth the consideration.
@@milkplus6773 yeah, you know a lot of times presets on devices like this are not super usable - just over the top demos of what’s in the device. There’s a little bit of that here, but I’d say 50% of the presets are great tones to practice with.

Thank you for the kind words. It really means a lot 🙏. So happy that I can be helpful. As far as upgrading goes, I’d say go for it if you don’t use the speaker. It’s so nice having having the Mustang Micro Plus just plugged right into the guitar and just have headphones coming out. Makes it easy to move from room to room or whatever. It’s just less clumsy than having an instrument cable to deal with. But as far as tone options, you get more with the Postive Grid. So sort of depends. But I’m really happy with the amp/tone options and the form factor of the Mustang Micro Plus.

Checking out guitars! Such a great idea!
This was great, I’m sold. Also, that birch green player II tele is the best-looking telecaster they’ve ever made 🥵
Man, that little opening double stop riff you did really opened my eyes to some things.
Having his headphones plugged in also helps keep the stress levels down in the house too!!😎
Currently going back through your other videos. Keep up the good work.👍🏻

Best of luck, and you should start playing guitar too! Cheers 🤘
Just ordered one from Sweetwater, and will be posting my original Mustang Micro for sale tomorrow...
This made my day, haven’t played music in over a decade but I think that’s about to change! Thank you, refreshing and inspiring.
@@TechnoRiff the stereo effects on the mustang micro plus sound pretty great. What head to head shoot out do you want to see?

@@DoobieDoctor5000 oof - yeah I hate when that happens. I just bought a new universal audio apollo x8 right before they released the new ones - a lot of money to buy something now a little outdated.

Gone.

@@robt6127 honestly it’s like the difference between going from a flip phone to a smart phone - just a whole platform to experiment and get inspiration from. It’s like when people say buying a new pedal can inspire a whole new song or more. Now you have 25 new pedals to experiment with
I’m just hoping they take a page out of positive grid’s book and release firmware updates that include more pedals and amps occasionally.

I have the original FMM which is great. Two questions regarding the FMM Plus:
1) Did Fender improve the feel/damping of the volume pot?

@@Tethered_to_the_Polestar good question - I’m thinking about other things to shoot out against this - maybe pod expresss is a good contender
@@Ksantipacat nice! Let me know how it goes!

Few years back I learned how to record directly to my iPhone from your video. Now as I’m waiting for this “plus” to arrive I’m so happy you put a video out again.
Very helpful videos. Thanks
PS: Do I go through the same process to record directly to my iPhone as before?
Hey!
Would love to get my hands on that Jazzmaster. Thanks for all you’re doing.

I would love to hear your take on the Mustang Micro Plus vs. the Boss Katana Go, which is similar in so many ways.
@@scottbecker3485 working on that! Looking forward to sharing. 🤘
@@dadtimejamtime Now that‘s good news! Subbing now so I don‘t miss it…
@@dadtimejamtime P.S.
Sweet ordered one!
Great product, among the best purchases I ever made
Great video

@@jimmyjames2022 I was connected via usb - garage band auto detected - super easy 🙌
I can’t decide between getting this or the mustang lt25, this seems more versatile but I worry about the dependence on an app
@@dadtimejamtime hmm, ya the tone app is enticing but I am in a living situation where I don’t need to be silent so I think I might for for the lt25

When are you doing the guitar winner? That birch green tele is beautiful ha ha.
@@paulfield6815 I’ll be doing the drawing for the tele when I get to 10k subscribers. And for the jazzmaster at 5k. There’s a link in the description for how to get more entries. The colors in the new Player II series are great! They feel classic but fresh at the same time! Love that birch green! Thanks for watching 🙏
@@dadtimejamtime nice!
Hey - can you make a video that simply shows a quick demo of all of the presets? Can't find a list of presets and most reviewers skip around the presets. Thanks!
Working on it today!
Just found your Channel. Very excited to see more, cause as a young father I have similar problems and interests. I like your calm way and it’s really nice to have a different point of view like all the other guitar youtubers here. Thanks and go on! 😊
PS: what do you think of switching from a spark mini to the micro plus? I don’t really use the speaker of the amp very often. ✌🏼
Love everything about this channel. You make it seem like we’re hanging out with you right in the room. Great personality and nice playing. I love my dad time late at night too. Keep up the great stuff! Liked and subscribed.
New sub from down under ! Can’t beat when it’s Dad time jam time 💪🏽⚡️⚡️🎸 I’ve had the original M/micro and I am sure that I need this now haha
@@itstodd1345 🤘🤘 heck yeah. Thanks for subscribing 🙏 This new MMP really is a worthy upgrade if you’ve got the funds! Can’t wait to get to your neck of the woods one day!
@@dadtimejamtimecome on over! It’s not a bad spot. I do love the U.S though, it’s such a massive country with the coolest of things.
Just bought my first guitar. Got an amp but also wanted a more mobile one so ordered this one. Hopefully I'll figure it all out. Question tho. It doesn't work with Bluetooth headphones, I presume? And what "mode" should I be using when first starting out ? 😂
@@yuilaukvik9395 correct that it doesn’t work with Bluetooth headphones - you’ve got to plug in wired headphones unless you get creative with a radio transmitter or something.
What kind of music do you like/what are you hoping to learn? I can give you some setting recommendations based on what you like!
I might buy it just for that echo effect.
Clean sounds + reverbs + modulation + delays are great on this. Very inspiring.
Nice video that you explained, thanks
So you directly record through sound card or just plug the usb in to computer? DAW
Thank you so much
Plug usb into computer or phone and record through daw on computer or phone or even directly through the camera app on the phone.
@ thanks, appreciated
If you like that you should try the NUX mighty plug pro 😉
I'm hoping they add a pitch shifter.
@@Nerotique that would be rad - great call 🤘
Is there a looper in the mustang micro plus? It would be so much fun
Unfortunately no :-( - maybe one day! Hoping fender uses this as a platform and supports upgrades and new features
Dad time Jam time 🙌🏻
Got the OG but the fact you can edit/store things with Android might me want to buy this one 😅
Still watching and curious about the new amps.
I bought the original mustang micro a few month ago, i'm so mad that i did not see this new version coming. Well too bad for me.
@@spoonietimelordy yeah that’s always a little painful. How much do you use the original?
@dadtimejamtime I bought it at first to record my acoustic guitar, so it was more than good enough. But I bought my first electric guitar this week so I'm now using it everyday, and will for the foreseeable future.
It’s an awesome toy
@@FlacoFlaco-n4y not sure if you mean toy pejoratively but honestly the original has been a great tool for practice for me for years! Thanks for watching!
@@dadtimejamtime not pejoratively at all. It is awesome and totally a top notch tool. But I love it like a kid with a toy! Great video.
