Coffey Anderson sang this song at all 13 funerals of the service members who died leaving Afghanistan at his own expense. He really is Mr. Red, White and Blue! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I came here to say the same thing. I grew up in Northern Indiana and joined the Marine Corps back in 2009. My recruiters office was in Logansport, Indiana. One of the thirteen who died during the incident in Afghanistan was a young Corporal Humberto Sanchez. He grew up and was also processed through Logansport, Indiana. Although I never met him, it hit different having lost someone from the area I grew up. They had a huge parade and service for him (it's not a very big city), and his funeral procession was filmed for those who wanted to be present but could not travel. It's heartbreaking, and when Coffey Anderson sings this song, it just cuts at you. My parents went garage sailing shortly afterwards and ran into a lady wearing a sweatshirt with Cpl Sanchez on it. When another lady inquired where she purchased it because she wanted to have one as well to honor the young Marine, she admitted she was his mother and she had it made. Everyone came up and gave her a huge hug and people, strangers gave her various words of thanks, wishes, and prayers. It's awesome to hear stories like this about small communities and how strangers can come together in a time of pain. Cpl Sanchez has a couple of murals in Logansport, including their McDonald's.... Where he worked as a young man during high school.
I'm from the Philippines, I would like to thank all of the American soldiers based around the world for keeping us safe. You're not only serving your country but you're also serving most of your allied countries around the world, God Bless us all ! Thank you for your service! Love the song! ❤
Thank you! I didn't serve (darned heart condition kept me from that) but I have countless members of the family that have or are still serving! And they are very much serving the allies as well. ❤
Marine vet here, and this song still gets me, even after hearing it a hundred times. By the way, you Brits are part of our family, our closest allies, always and forever. Great reaction!
Don't forget Australia we have supported the USA in good number of conflicts Korea, Vietnam ,Desert Storm ,Middle East ,Iraq. Australia has had your back or as we call it your 6 on a number of occasions.
He performed this song at 6 funerals for service members killed in Afghanistan bombing in 2021, all at his own expense. He made the offer on TikTok to all 13 families, only 6 families accepted.
Reminds me so much of my Dad. He grew up in a single parent household when that was unheard of, and was the man of the house from the day he was born. He wanted to join the army when he graduated from high school but couldn't get parental consent. He signed up on his 18th birthday and never looked back. He shipped out to WWII straight away. He volunteered for Korea because he felt it was his duty to represent the USA in any conflict. He volunteered for Vietnam as well, but was found to have lung cancer on his physical at the age of 38. He never shirked his duty or lacked love for his country. He will always be a hero in my eyes.
I love this song, as a Navy Sailor for almost 11 years and 1 combat zone then and time in Iraq as a contractor this hits home for me. Super RESPECT for the families that sat at home waiting for word from their military member. After only a week in Iraq a 19 year old Soldier gave his life while protecting me and my fellow truck drivers. This I will never forget.
Never heard this and it hit really hard. Getting deployed and the first phone call talking to my 3 year old and all he wants is for me to come play cars with him. You don't try to explain why you can't, you just tell him how much you miss him and love him. Then the phone goes dead. It hurt but I've never questioned my service, I gave something back to a country that has given me so much.
It used to takes months to get a letter from my dad when he was in Vietnam. I can remember when we'd get that letter. My mom would read it to all four of us kids. It meant everything to us.
As an army brat this gets me every single time, cause I was that baby my dad left with my mom when he first went to Iraq, and I had tons of medical issues pop up almost immediately after. I’ve heard it said that behind every single soldier is an army supporting them, family, friends, coworkers. Every single deployment my dad went on my family felt like it was going to war too, I as an older sibling stepped up and helped my mom, grandparents and uncles did more babysitting, family friends from church and my parents childhood made meals on holidays. Pastors prayed as soldiers were sent off and returned(sometimes in a coffin) I suggest American soldier by Tony Keith and ones who didn’t make it back home justin Moore
First year we were married my hubby was deployed for a year and 3 months. I was here in a state by myself. I was so depressed. I sat by my phone and computer all day and night only going out for food. My hubby spent 20 years in military and 4 years were deployed to Iraq. My hubby is now medically retired. This song always brings up memories happy and sad.
I’m just now going through this with my husband. He started a year ago we were apart for 7 months for basic and ait. He’s going to leave again for more schooling to become a warrant officer. Sleeping alone is hard we’re 23 with 2 and 1 yr old Thank you for your husband service
What a lovey couple you are! I’m a (female) U.S. Navy veteran who only recently found this song & can’t stop listening to it. The melody is beautiful, Coffey Anderson’s voice is rich, & of course the lyrics are heartfelt. I remember a Marine officer telling someone his kids were born while he was on deployment & he’d never get that experience back. And yet they continue on. I appreciate your appreciation! ❤
Sometimes they are deployed longer. My brother was in the Navy and we didn’t see or hear from him for 3 months. Thank you everyone who has served and serving now. God bless you all!
USAF Vet and a Gold Star Father, we lost our son Chris in 2017 while he was serving in the US ARMY. I love this song, but it breaks my heart every time I hear it. Even so, I’ll listen to it on repeat for hours at a time. It helps bring him close when I need him.
Met him at a work event last year. He clarified, it’s pronounced “Coffay”. He’s an amazing person and this is by far the BEST patriotic song, hands down. Thank you to our past, present, and future military 🇺🇸
I just met a Helicopter pilot who was in The Moge (Blackhawk Down) in a Cobra. He couldn’t fire and had to watch our guy’s being dragged down the street and beaten to death. He finally got the green light to fire and lit the Skinnies up but is still haunted by what he witnessed.
I met him Coffey Anderson & he’s the nicest person that you could ever meet and how sounds singing here on this video is nothing to hearing him sing face to face he’s voice is really beautiful even let me take a picture with him
I love this song. I am a disabled vet from the 1980s. I just want you to know, as an infantryman, meaning that you referenced Band of Brothers, you don't think about home when you're sitting in a foxhole or marching 10 miles or more. That distraction can get you killed. You have to stay focused on the job and your objective. Other branches with less direct contact with the enemy don't have the same kind of stress.
U.S. ARMY vet here. I have been watching your channel for a while. I am finally a subscriber. My stars and stripes, would not have been possible. Without my four founding fathers. My four fathers made the United States🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
"Wait in the Truck" by Hardy is an amazing song and very "American" so I'd really like to see your guys take on it. Also "God's Country" by Blake Sheldon is a great song as well.
From the time I was born I was one of the ones who waited at home for any word. My dad joined the Navy years before my parents even met. He served for 23 years. He went in during WWII, and stayed in during the Korean War and the beginning of the Vietnam War. My brother graduated high school and went straight into the Navy during the Vietnam War. He also spent 23 years in the Navy. He retired in 1994. My sister was in the Army for two years. My daughter was in the Navy for three years. She got out so she could marry her sweetie, who was in the Army. (they had known each other since grade school) He retired a few years ago, because of injuries he got in Iraq. My daughter and son-in-law have two sons who are both in the army. My son just passed his 20th anniversary in the Navy . . . he has served all over the world, away from home Many Times. I know quite well how hard it is to say goodbye, never knowing if I would ever see them again. Keeping in contact with a service member has gotten easier over the years . . . with my dad it was by mail - some letters taking weeks to get around the world. When my brother and sister were in sometimes they could make phone calls home, and there were still letters. More recently, a lot of the time we can keep contact by the internet on computers (depending on if they were on a base, on a ship, or in the field. I couldn't serve in the military because of vision problems, but I know quite well how it feels to be the one left at home, waiting, and not knowing. (Always dreading the thought of a military vehicle pulling up in front of our house.)
As a US Infantry Veteran, We get a of credit but our families should get it. In the middle of it we know what's going on but all our families could only wait, think and worry. So to any family of a soldier or veteran THANK YOU
I truelly believe no countrymen on the planet can ever match the patriotic love for country that us americans have. Not to say people dnt love their country but when it comes to sacrifice and lating down ones ultimate sacrifice for love of country we are unmatched. This is why any country should fear the day they try and invade america. We will go above and betond for our country. The fact that we have twice as many armaments as citizens helps also.
Thank you for this comment...I couldn't have said it better. As a grandmother of three grandsons(all brothers) who are at this moment active duty in the United States Navy I am proud that they have chosen to serve and protect our country. Thank you to ALL of our awesome Service men and women. By the way ...Love this song!!!
I'd say the Ukrainians right now are pretty patriotic, fighting for the existence of their country and to not just be a puppet state. We in the USA are definitely more than average patriotic, but I'm not sure I'd say we are unmatched.
The part where he talks about his 18th birthday being the start of his life is because here in the United States, men are required to register for the draft at 18.
This got me thinking about my Dad when he was in WWII. he got discharged from the Army Air. Corps . and got a train home. When he got home his Mom was in bed asleep, but woke up and realized who it was based on the sound of his footsteps.
My son had two tours in Iraq. First go round we didn’t hear much news from him. Second go round was much better. Toby Keith’s American Soldier had a lot of family ties. Thank you!
Thank you very much 🙏🏻 I’m a very Proud Blue Star Mom My father is a veteran and so am I My son is still serving he is a Captain and 35 He had the calling Enlisted at 18 as enlisted personal 5 tours and a Husband and a Farther of 2 Due to Retire in 3 1/2 years Thank you for your support 🙏🏻 🙋♀️✝️💜☮️🇺🇸
They also did a rock version of Mr. Red white and blue. It is Saint Clair County Michigan's honeyguard that is doing the funeral. In that video I am the bugle. It is a great honor to give a veteran. The respected deserves we do about three hundred funerals alone just in the county.
I grew up 10 miles away from where this guy lived in a small Texas town. Had never heard of him until he had went on American Idol. He was a substitute at our school once lol
My dad was in WWII, knew he had shrapnel in his legs. Never ever was he ever not wearing a tee-shirt. One day came upon him with no tee-shirt and he had scars that were at least six inches wide on his back. I thought omg. My father and his friends started VFW Post 821 in Bridesburg Pennsylvania..
I am so happy to see your reaction..I see her start to tear up... that's what is Americans do when we hear this song... this song has so much meaning behind it. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS REACTION
Cofee like the drink only spelled different. As an old US Army vet songs like this activate my patriotism and turn it up to 15 where I sit normally at a 10 most days. I trained with our brothers and sisters on your side of the pond and I can honestly say that his Majestys men were as professional and as knowledgeable as any of my own men and just as great when we got to let our hair down so to speak. I'm glad our music is hitting over there and resonating with you. Cheers.
I suggested this so glad you liked it Check out the songs: "American Soldier" and "Beer for My Horses" by Toby Keith. "Arlington", "Til the Last Shots Fired" and "Simper fi" by Trace Adkins. The Shows "Last Ship" and "Seal Team".
Great reaction. I love this video! I had great parents. But when I joined the US military, my 18th birthday was the day I was born. Uncle Sam became my family. I stayed for 20 years. The U.S. military rocks.
This song reminds me a lot of Keith Urban's "For You" song that he wrote and sang for the movie Act of Valor, which is a movie about the Navy SEALs and had several active duty SEALs as the main characters.
In the 60's it was sometimes 7 weeks or longer before a seaman got any mail. My fiance at the time got upset with me because he hadn't heard from me- Then he got 13 letters all at once because there had been a mail delay. He said he almost wept with joy. I wrote him 278 letters while he overseas and I numbered each one on the back of the envelope. He was so proud whenever the mail came....
As an American that had family and friends pay the ultimate sacrifice, I love this song. I will see them again one day but I would not live the beautiful free life that I live without their sacrifice. Our fallen heroes will never be forgotten
Coffey has consistently used his music not only to entertain but to spread a message of hope and healing. When thirteen service members were tragically killed in a bombing at the Kabul airport during the Afghanistan evacuation in 2021, he offered to perform his song Mr. Red, White, and Blue at the service members’ funerals. Ultimately, he accepted requests from nine of the thirteen families, traveling at his own expense to perform the song at each of their funerals.
I really appreciate you talking about the family left behind. As someone who was a military spouse and went through deployment this vid does hit pretty hard.
So I know this is an old video, but I just heard this song for the first time 2 days ago. I don't know how it passed under my radar. Here's a bit of a background...my son is 20. He just became a US Marine in October (2023). Right before graduation, he broke his foot in 2 places. Those of you who know what these guys (and girls) go through during the Crucible (if you don't know, watch a YT video on it please...it'll make it so much easier to understand). He has stress fractures in both feet and lower legs up to a month old. He was crossing the street and 2 of those stress fractures just snapped. So, he didn't get to come home after boot like all the other Marines. He had to stay on Parris Island for another 2 months. Plus side was he healed up right before Christmas so he got to spend the holidays at home. After boot camp, he went for MCT (29 extra days of rifleman training). From there, he went to California (I live in Maryland so literally the other side of the country) and has been there since. I took him to the airport on January 2nd. It's June 29th and I still haven't seen him. This is only the beginning. This has just been training. I've seen my son for a total of 23 days since July 9th of last year (when he left for boot). I just found out where he will be stationed when he's done learning his job (leaving Cali on July 9th...1 year since leaving home). I'm extremely fortunate that he's stationed close to home....for now. One thing many don't understand about the US military is where they are right now can change at any moment. They can get orders today to be in another country tomorrow. Anyway, I heard this song for the first time, thinking of my son, and I just started crying. To The Beesleys....I just found this channel and this is the 2nd video I've watched (1st one was The Star Spangled Banner as You've Never Heard it Before). You guys make me even more proud to be an American. You guys are in another country, watching videos about our pride in our country (even when it's a shit show, we love our country, our service members, our first responders, our flag, etc) and you're getting emotional about it. It warms my heart that you get how us Americans feel from all the way across the ocean (across the pond 🤣). Thank you. Thank you. Thank you 😊
I heard this song after my oldest left for the Marine Corps. We knew when he was little he was born to serve. 3 more of my boys joined the Navy, Army and the National Guard. It has and will always be family faith and country in our family.
My son was 3 months old shen I deployed to Desert Shield/ Desert Storm. Back then all I had was mail and 1 or 2 collect calls if someone was home. I let my troops go for phones 2 times before my First Sargent ordered me to go. We did exchange a VHS tape from me and family. Son was close to a year by the time I saw him again. My daughter was 9 and was 10 when I saw her. 🌹🤘❤️
I was never in the service but I am a base baby. USAFB baby who’s daddy was in the Air Force. Not only that I was also born on Memorial Day. I thank you for your cousin’s service. 🇺🇸 ✌🏻
I'm not in the military myself, but i have military family. First time I heard this song I got very emotional. Coffey wrote this song beautifully. #1 most patriotic song. Makes me proud of my American roots.
The worst feeling is seeing two soldiers in full dress come knock on your door… until then, god willing that day never come, it is hand written letters and e-mails that are usual coms. Phones are hit and miss depending on location and (exactly right) service availability.
Most of the people in the USA feel every word of this song... We have such pride in our military personnel. I just wish we took better care of our soldiers, when they come home.
I went to high school with him. I returned from oversea to see that he was on America Idol. i was like yeah i see him doing that, beause how he was in high school. lol
Different locations have different means of communication, but often there is a computer they take turns using, or a time when they can use a phone, Letter writing is still the most common. Again, it depends on the location, but they may have mail call once a week.
Coffey Anderson sang this song at all 13 funerals of the service members who died leaving Afghanistan at his own expense. He really is Mr. Red, White and Blue! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Thank you for your Service. I lost my brother when he was in Afghanistan. I say thank you to every vet. I know how this song hurts.
Scottish Infantry Vet here,Thank you brother. Orah.
Desert Storm Army veteran and this song tears me up, too.

That’s a real Patriot there

Thank you for your service sir

Yes! This phone calls to your children are the worse.
As an Army mom....this song brings a lump to my throat and tears in my eyes. Thank you to all who have sacrificed so that we may be free.
This is my first time hearing that song. It gave me chills.
It used to takes months to get a letter from my dad when he was in Vietnam. I can remember when we'd get that letter. My mom would read it to all four of us kids. It meant everything to us.

Thank you for your compassion when you react to such patriotic songs
Absolutely ❤ ur reaction to this song.. as a military wife and mom.. yes, this song hits hard..
Me and my wife will love watching your videos If the world had more people in it like both of you it'd be a better place God-bless
Vietnam Veteran here, sailor. This song captures our feelings when we were away.

The fact that there is British reaction to a patriot song really show's how patriotic American people are and I respect that.
Brings a tear listening to it
28 years in the U.S. Navy and this moves my soul.
There is another Army song just come out and it’s called I left my home by the Marine rapper

may your star never turn gold ma'am much respect from a military family
Every time I hear this song I get the chills. This one of many songs I love of many that has to do with men and women that serve for my country.
Very nice to see this, thank you! Love from Sweden
It’s a great song. Kind of hit home. I was a Soldier in with the Army, Tennessee Army National Guard and Army Reserve for 36 years.
Cheers.
Freedom. Thank you, ALL of you.
I actually haven’t heard this before. Thank you.❤🇺🇸❤🇬🇧
Love this song it hits deep....
Your warm reactions were worth the song, itself.
I never served but it gets me in tears. Knowing how badly our government has treated our veterans.
Live the reaction, this song gets me as a man that has been around military my whole life God bless all men and women who serve
BIG AND RICH
8TH OF NOVEMBER
I served in the army 9 years and this song hits me so hard
This song reminds me a lot of Keith Urban's "For You" song that he wrote and sang for the movie Act of Valor, which is a movie about the Navy SEALs and had several active duty SEALs as the main characters.
Thanks for being so respectful. You 2 are more American than most people over here. 😊😊
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you 😊
One of my favorite songs. Thank you for reacting. My brother served, he did 4 tours in Iraq. I was always so worried that he wouldn't come home.
I heard this song after my oldest left for the Marine Corps. We knew when he was little he was born to serve. 3 more of my boys joined the Navy, Army and the National Guard. It has and will always be family faith and country in our family.
Watch the movie Taking Chance it’s good and sad
Lived this as one who left and one who was left. Hits right to my heart. ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸
I’ve always liked this song never been talked about enough, what a great song and Great reaction! Glad you guys did a reaction to this song
This song hits hard. It makes me think of my cousin. He was in the Air Force. 💔
I was never in the service but I am a base baby. USAFB baby who’s daddy was in the Air Force. Not only that I was also born on Memorial Day. I thank you for your cousin’s service. 🇺🇸 ✌🏻

Such a great description.the words were so perfect. We love you Millie. We'll make everyone safe. 😊
We should never forget about these brave unselfish veterans❤
I'm not in the military myself, but i have military family. First time I heard this song I got very emotional. Coffey wrote this song beautifully. #1 most patriotic song. Makes me proud of my American roots.
I severed from 2000-2010. I served with some Brits. Great lads. Thank you for the respect. It didnt go unnoticed.
The worst feeling is seeing two soldiers in full dress come knock on your door… until then, god willing that day never come, it is hand written letters and e-mails that are usual coms. Phones are hit and miss depending on location and (exactly right) service availability.
I just found your channel . Thank you for your reactions . From one proud American. Hi friends 🤗
Most of the people in the USA feel every word of this song... We have such pride in our military personnel. I just wish we took better care of our soldiers, when they come home.
Being in the Military is the most important job and we love to show them love in America and thank them for keeping us free
I went to high school with him. I returned from oversea to see that he was on America Idol. i was like yeah i see him doing that, beause how he was in high school. lol
I'm a disabled vet. This song hits home all day everyday for me. Fyi I'm sure we r related some how..my last name is Beasley..from the USA!

Iam a Former spezialisiert soldier from Germany, i know this feels
Different locations have different means of communication, but often there is a computer they take turns using, or a time when they can use a phone, Letter writing is still the most common. Again, it depends on the location, but they may have mail call once a week.
For me it was the 4 month old baby I was first able to hold after my 6 month Navy deployment.
This is really a great song, thanks for sharing. Another song you might like is "till the last shots fired" by Trace Adkins.
You guys are amazing 🎉
Congratulations on your baby news love watching all your videos but when you do patriotic ones I know I'm going to be crying 😂 but in a good way ❤🇺🇲🇬🇧
You all are so awesome.
Cried... it's touching
