    Thank you for being a voice of reason. I agree with your advice to not freak out. Stay out of the dumpster fires (supposed fan groups that spew negativity) and stick with the source itself. Universal has offered the ticket information to agents. As a Universal Destinations & Experiences specialist with a U-Preferred agency, I am privy to the correct info. However, until we are given the official green light to speak publicly about it, I cannot share it. It was presented as strictly confidential and anyone who has breached the confidence deserves to be penalized. I can say that Universal's plans and choices are 100% made to provide the best experience to their guests. EPIC is going to be both insanely cool and insanely popular. There's a lot to unpack, of course. It's so nice to see a responsible channel.

    It‘s not so unthinkable. Tokyo Disney had the same policy for years (still might have, not sure). You could either buy 1 or 2 day tickets that where park specific for an exact date, and you had to specify if you wanted to visit Tokyo Disneyland or Tokyo Disneysea. Only if you bought a 3 day ticket you could park hop on the 3rd day.

    Even if this is true (which I don’t believe it is) I don’t think it’s the worst thing. I think it’s more fair to let everyone have an equal amount of time at the park than to try and squeeze more people into the park than what is comfortable.

    • @Dillon.Thomas
      @Dillon.Thomas  Місяць тому +1

      @thewannabegamer9 it's kind of a tough position to be in. Do you limit access and get flooded with people complaining, or let everyone in and people complain about crowds lol. You also have the side of it where if someone comes for a trip and they go one day and don't get to experience everything they want for their single day, it'll feel really bad.

  • @MrDizneyKing
    @MrDizneyKing Місяць тому +3

    I can only assume that Universal will allow Single Day tickets ONLY for Annual Passholders but the catch could be you must be an Annual Passholder for a certain length of time meaning you can't just sign up and buy single day tickets. My prediction.

    • @Dillon.Thomas
      @Dillon.Thomas  Місяць тому +1

      @MrDizneyKing Could be the case, we know nothing at the moment! But I assume they wouldn't gate AP holders to having to buy a single day ticket. That seems too excessive and many AP's wouldn't buy more than maybe a ticket or two. I imagine they just charge a good amount for the additional park to add-on. Who knows! 🫠

    • @MrDizneyKing
      @MrDizneyKing Місяць тому +1

      @@Dillon.Thomas Add on as a 4 park annual pass? Oh no. Definitely dont see that happening first year park is open. Even if Disney announces a 5th park at D23 Expo there is still no other park that is "new" in the area for crowds to flock to. Single Day tickets for APers spreads it out. They could very well be limited 1 day tickets we APers could buy before we can buy another. We would be limited as regular guests are. Mostly like 1 day ticket, wait 2 days and buy another 1 day ticket. No back to back days for APers 1 day tickets.

    • @Dillon.Thomas
      @Dillon.Thomas  Місяць тому +2

      @@MrDizneyKing I don't think they would gatekeep it for passholders. They care a lot about their AP image. I don't think there will be express after 4 for free for premiere there, but I think they will have access. Even if it's partially limited access. Again, assuming you pay for an upgraded pass. That's part of the whole point to be fair lol.

    For anyone who is local and is a passholder this pretty much sucks. I just moved out here and they are going to force me to spend like $600 just to go 1 day because im already a passholder for the other parks. Pretty ridiculous. Basically only people with multiday passes will be the people who get in first other than press and like UA-camrs allowed in early. I believe they did that with the Nintendoland in cali. Then it says they will have single day tickets but only when availability so its going to be sold out for a while probably at least a few months maybe even the whole summer then it will slow down.

    • @Dillon.Thomas
      @Dillon.Thomas  Місяць тому

      Ya, if it turns out to be true, and it's the only way to get tickets, it will be very rough for people. I assume they will be doing media invites for the park for the real big creators, but I don't imagine it would be more than one day? But, I could be wrong! We will keep our eyes out to figure out all of the details once announced.

    • @Fizggig
      @Fizggig Місяць тому

      @Dillon.Thomas It just seems only the rich will be able to get tickets. They probably are only doing this because someone like me and you probably will be less hesitate to buy a multi day pass if we have APs there really is no reason only to go to epic that means you are wasting it will probably be like 400 to 600 for those 3 days. People will pay that I probably will pay that of that is legit the only way I can go but it will suck because I'm local and I'll have to pay outrageous amounts just to enjoy 1 day until they release the 1 days passes. The park is huge idk it should allow for a huge capacity. we shall see tho.

  • @Sir-Ray
    @Sir-Ray Місяць тому +1

    Wait - if it's on the internet, it MUST be true! Ugg, now you have crushed my entire state of mind 🤣🤣🤣
    I think that Universal actually put out something out stating that anything not coming directly from them may contain mis-information, or something along that line.
    The fact is we will not know how the tickets are coming to work, until Universal actually puts something out.
    I can see them limiting access - based on their knowledge of what happened when they opened IOA and the Harry Potter attractions. I would also expect that they will not have (or have a VERY limited supply) of quick access passes. They have to put some type of limit on people going to EPIC because they definitely to not want people to go there, and then start complaining about the crowds and wait times for rides.
    Honestly, as an AP holder, I expect to have to purchase separate tickets for EPIC, and I can understand why this may be the case, and will have no problem with this either. I expect that their AP will approach the cost of Disney's AP..
    Thanks for putting out this video. Be well.

    • @Dillon.Thomas
      @Dillon.Thomas  Місяць тому +1

      LOL the internets never lied to me before, why start now?! 😂
      Yes, they replied to a tweet stating that they've released no information and they will be doing so in the future. It was from their official account, so I'd think that's true 🤓
      I think Universal has to make a very strategic decision in their ticket sales. EVERYONE is going to try and go early, we all know that. So it'll be interesting to see how capacity works. I mean they say it's like 750 acres (granted that's ALL of the land they have their, which includes resorts and such) But even still, that's a MASSIVE park, so I assume they'll be able to handle a VERY large amount of people. That said, we'll have to see what really comes out for tickets when they announce it. I'm genuinely way more curious how AP is going to go, for obvious reasons.
      What happened during the IOA opening and Harry Potter? I know Hagrid's was horrible, but that was because of issues with operations and breaking down, not necessarily popularity. Though it was INSANELY popular, I think it was from breakdowns for the first few months from what I heard that caused the issues.
      I truly hope they offer Epic AP add-ons, because if they don't, you will REALLY anger a lot of AP holders. I think right now they have the ability to strike while the irons hot against the Disney blunders. However, if they don't allow AP holders to get access to Epic via AP upgrades (even if it's a hefty cost), I think there will be a LOTTTT of pushback, and I also imagine if they don't allow people to go for multiple days, it's not going to sit well with consumers. Leaving demand/capacity out of the question, the limiting of tickets could turn a VERY successful venture for them right now into a whirlwind of complaints if they don't do it right. It's going to be a heck of a battle for them to figure out how they approach this. A very tough situation to be in, but business is business ☝

    • @Sir-Ray
      @Sir-Ray Місяць тому +1

      @@Dillon.Thomas Yes - definitely a huge area, so maybe they can let more people in than the other parks, but I think they will definitely limit access.
      When IOA opened, the crowd was MASSIVE and several attractions were not working or completed. It was chaotic on opening day (same with Harry Potter. Of course, that should be expected on opening day, but people are stupid. We went not expecting to do any rides, just to look and wander. When Diagon Alley opened, they got smart, and used a time ticket that you got at booths in the park. Each ticket had the number of people and a return time. It worked wonderfully (I don't remember if there was a limit of the number of people per ticket, or the number of tickets.
      Anyway, time will tell. I will admit I am excited though, as I am sure everyone is! Be well.

    • @Dillon.Thomas
      @Dillon.Thomas  Місяць тому +1

      @Sir-Ray wow dang! Didn't realize they had so many things in place for diagon alley like that. Makes sense as it was their huge investment at the time, they wouldn't have done it for no reason. I'd love to see some of the opening day madness of IOA. It would be unique to see how that compares to EPIC. But I do agree with you, there will certainly be SOME sort of system in place for epic, what it is, who knows. But I don't see it not being the case. Which kind of stinks, because this whole VQ, reservation stuff just ruins the theme park experience in my opinion. We've gone away with the traditional show up and wait and plan how you want. Feels too restrictive and not free enough.

    Me? I'm not gonna be able to have the funds I want to go ($3000 minimum) until at least 2028-2029 so for me, the ticket situation should be resolved by then, also this gives me a chance to see how Epic Universe pans out ride wise. Do they have the issue that Disney has with rides breaking down during opening and stuff like that.....I have high hopes they won't have that issue. Also it'll let me see how Dark Universe at Epic Universe handles their Halloween thing and see if it's worth it to buy a ticket or two in advance for Halloween to go then. I'll be keeping an ear to the ground and an eye out...but their impending opening next year isn't really gonna affect me overmuch.

    • @Dillon.Thomas
      @Dillon.Thomas  Місяць тому

      I feel like anyone going more than year out from opening will have an easier time getting things figured out for sure. Pricing is still going to be a big question mark. I think since they're already testing rides, I'd find it hard to believe they have the ride consistency issue like Disney has right now. I think Disney having a lot of old tech makes it hard, if you look at Tron and Guardians, they don't go down very often, if they do it is a big hit, but they run decently smooth most of the time. Older rides with older tech break down a lot and it's almost expected at this point. We hope, since they have so much time before opening, that they will have all of those things worked out!

      @Dillon.Thomas  Місяць тому +3

      Oh boy, that's a great question. "Calmed down" from opening week to opening month, yes. But I think the amount of people that will be going to that park for the first 2 years will be astronomical in comparison to the other parks in the area. We haven't had a brand new park in Orlando in a very long time, and not one this big either with the big IPs as well. I think it's going to be extremely busy but I imagine it'll still be doable after the first few weeks. But everyone is planning vacations for it from what I'm hearing. Don't let that deter you, though, it's a massive park, so I think you should be able to navigate and do things at a good pace.
