I adore handbags. I purchase what I love regardless if I actually use them. Sometimes functionality and art do coincide, but more often than not, they do not. I have Fendi and Vuitton that I have never worn and probably never will, but they give me joy just to see them.

i am also loving the shearling and suede. that fendi is stunning, I do have it as a fav on FP. keeping an eye on it. oh and currently the chanel shearling flap has a chokehold on me. I've been trying to scratch the itch with other suede bags but every single one I look at, I think not the margaux

I said in Dayle video yesterday the Margaux suede is the silkiest most uniform suede I’ve have ever seen even in clothing. I looked at Prada suede even Celine suede and they were all very coarse in comparison. The Row is like silk velvet I have never felt anything like it. I think those bags are cute but from pics I think those suede’s will be more rough and coarse. I have learned the hard was]y buying substitute bags. The Jimmy bag is also coarse and stiff for a bag that looks soft. It doesn’t feel that way. Oh gosh the new shearling tote bag in chenille reversible is divine. It’s like an emotional support bag. I cuddled it on the weekend in store but it was so expensive I couldn’t justify for chenille!
I'm so glad you did a video on suede bags. I really want to scratch the itch as well, but I cannot find one I like. Since I would only wear it for Fall, I don't want to pay luxury brand prices, but I can't find a contemporary version that suits me. Thanks for the ideas. I'll check them out.

Always buy the bag your really want, chances are you will buy that bag eventually anyway! Love the styling of the Veronica Beard 'Dash' bag and did see the leather bag in store and thought it was ok. The Coach Empire Carryall 40 really is a shocking stunner! I own all price points of bags and originally went to Coach to see the smaller size Empire and decided it was not for me. When the 40 came out with a different type of leather than the smaller sizes, I loved it! I find the weight great for a larger bag with quality hardware.

Leopard print flats or ankle boots are a nice touch if you don’t want to have Bet Lynch’s image in your head 😂. I’ve found the dying process can affect suede and shearling with different colours having a different feel, some much rougher than others. Maybe a contemporary suede one will fill the gap until you can purchase the Margaux? If you genuinely love the bag more than the trend, you might find them easier to get next year perhaps.
As I’m changing my wardrobe from summer to fall/winter, (The US) I’m seriously looking at brown suede as well!!! I have LV brown monogram bags, but there’s something about the suede that is hypnotizing the industry!
If you can somehow get the Margaux bag, I think you would look perfect wearing it and the “itch” will have been permanently scratched! 🤞🤞🤞

Just received the Jimmy Choo in Suede. It is gorgeous!!! Bonus it can be worn as a shoulder, handheld and clutch. The wide strap is adjustable.

OMG! I can't believe what I'm hearing. You now like shearling. I love shearling but I distinctly remember you saying that you didn't like shearling because it was right after I had purchased my LV Capucines with a shearling handled and the Fendi dark brown (not orange) shearling baguette and origami tote. And leopard! I'm shocked. The Dolce & Gabbana and Valentino leopard bags are from last year. I could see you wearing a leopard bag and think it would look nice on you with an all black outfit. Something to think about and possible convert on as well.
Yes I’m trying to be a little more open minded. I don’t think I would buy shearling because of the weather here. I also still not keen on light coloured shearling but the fendi mini baguette is very cute. I can’t see me ever buying leopard print but never say never! 😃

My experience is when you really want a certain bag, (Margaux)(not sure of spelling) nothing will really take the place. I did order Empire Carryall 40, have not received yet so I’ll see if it’s too heavy for me. I think Coach has nice leather. In the US the maple and black are still available on line. Not sure about in store. I’m also eyeing the Veronica Beard in suede. Good luck.
I'm going to shop my closet.I have a suede Ricky Ralph Lauren collection bag-one in suede (brown) and one in pony skin brown ,white and black.Also my Tan small puzzle and my bottarga chocolate classic hobo slouch.Bought pre-loved and I have not worn them yet.

I’m so conflicted about animal prints. I’m just not drawn to them at all. I will have to find tiny ways to add it for fall.
I have the Coach empire in navy and cannot say enough good things about it. The bag is stunning. I do not find the bag to be heavy at all. Now if you put a bunch of things in it, certainly it can become heavy, but the bag itself is not heavy at all. I also believe with time it will become even more beautiful. I was thinking of getting the Ferragamo Hug Bag in navy, but I am completely satisfied with my navy carryall by Coach. It really feels like a bag worth thousands.

I don't know that it's an A/W trend but I'm loving the big, slouchy bag trend right now. That isn't really a trend for me so I'm just enjoying all of the options coming out right now!

My favorite trend for this fall are the different colors of dark red: the merlot, burgundy, etc. I have never cared for the Row Margaux but I do like the Ferragamo Hug bag and the Coach Empire Carryall 40 in the merlot. I can’t afford the Hug Bag but the Empire is my speed, lol. I haven’t had the opportunity to see it in person, but I have seen a couple youtube videos on it by Autumn Beckman and Caleb Snell. They have differing perspectives on it which I found helpful. I hope you are able to get the Margaux that you are loving. Christmas is coming, you know. Maybe? Thanks for sharing some different fall trends in handbags and the new brands you discovered.
