Sewing with the adjustable hemmer on my 1950 Singer Featherweight. Part 7 in Featherweight Skill Series by Pamelyn Baim; see the entire series at pamelynspostings.blogspot.com
This is the best demo I've seen of this foot. I have avoided learning this feature because I just couldn't seem to make sense out of the manual. I've got 2 featherweights, a 301, a 66, 99, 15, a 201, a 127, and a 401!! And I STILL hadn't learned to use this silly thing! LOL! Thanks a million for a clear and easy to understand demonstration.
Thank you! Like others commenting here, I’m happy to have found your demonstration - the clearest I’ve found. And you’re right! It’s a genius little gizmo.
Thanks so much. I bought a vintage cabinet and its contents, which included this adjustable hemmer. Had to ask FB friends what it even was. Your video was very helpful, and I am ready to try.
Very useful explanation of where the fabric goes underneath the foot. I just wish the camera was better positioned so I could see what's going on as you sew.

Best I've heard this explained Pamelyn, Thank you.

Thanks, thanks, thanks!. I was waiting for a video tutorial like yours to make my hammer foot less troublesome, useful!
you do a good job explaining it......so far better than others i have seen
Much better explanation than in the manual for my 1956 Singer. Thank you!

for demonstration purpose its better for us to see if you
use dark colored tread on light colored fabric.
can this also be used on a curve?
