nah it's overall. Especially Bronx. There are many comparisons in this video from bronx. It was the worst time in late 1970s for this borough suffering from high crime rate and burnings. Im sure you can find many videos of that here on youtube. New York was like Detroit at this time. It was on the brink of bankruptcy in 1975, there were also large riots during blackout in 1977. Sure there were also clean and safe neighborhoods then but it was much worse than 2006 I'd say.

The most inaccurate things in this game are the wfc buildings which were completed in 1986, the wtc 7 building which was completed in 1987 and the wtc1 big antenna, which was put in 1979, before 1979, it had a smaller antenna.
Yeah exactly. They should rather put there panam building.. why putting there something that wasnt there.. if someone makes historical game they should study basics.. i also remember during the intro: new york in 78 and they show 1990s skyline.. like wtf
@@arthurmorgan2906 They probably didn't bother researching about the buildings that were/weren't there in both eras. They just slapped in the Twin Towers in 1978, and removed them in 2006. A huge part of gamers won't pay it more attention that the devs intended, they just thought that gamers would go like "oh, the twins are there, yeah this is 1978. Oh the twins aren't there anymore? Yup, we're in 2006 alright". They basically used the towers as an era indicator, didn't bother with anything else.
@@carljohnson621 well of they bothered to do much less important details like that skyscraper in queens that is also in GTA IV, i dont see reason why they wouldnt also do this more significant thing.
WTC 7? probably didnt add it to the game. But they did add WFC and one more skyscraper in 1978, but they were built in 1980s which is so sick... They should rather make Panam building or something instead... something that was already built.

On PC and WII version in 2007. Ps2 and Xbox don't have a billboard because publisher Atari was the first for this game (and Driver trilogy too).
