Thanks that was very helpful, but I have a question, if you could help by answering please! why the power adapter doesn't give a clean sound like with the battery? Could advise an adapter that doesn't make a noise ?
I am not sure. In my case you are hearing a decent humming noise - rattle noise or how to call it, that might be because of other gear inside the same power grid, or because of lack of grounding? I remember a similar problem with this device and some similar ones. Maybe most simple solution is to keep using batteries or even better: rechargeable ones - or try to fix the grounding-aspect inside your installation 👍

The Guitar Lab needs a connection to the Internet to download new content. I often click the News a few.times ... seems to wake it up. Someone's one has to flash device firmware - and be careful to use a USB data cable and not just a plain charger cable.
@@S-LAB Thank you, but I see several very different models there. I would like to know which one in particular you are using to test the Zoom A1X here.

There are no stupid questions. If you want to work with this machine, you just need a cable to connect it with a guitar, that's it for the input. For the output you need the same type of cable to connect it to any kind of speaker. By the way, also there is an aux-in, with which you can put in a stereo signal from any kind of player or cell phone Etc. Hi Bui, in the following other video all connectors are being explained: ua-cam.com/video/g-x8L5PkZso/v-deo.html You can use the 6,5 mm jack to output your signal for recording into any external recorder. This would be my way to record the A1X. You may use any adapters from 6,5 mm output jack down to chinch or even smaller - depending on your recording device analog input ... 🙂
QUESTION: Zoom claims that the Output jack can be used for both "line out" and headphones. I cannot find a "headphones" setting in the manual that would allow the unit to know which output level I want. Does this unit properly support headphones with a correct volume level [as opposed to simply claiming that you can just plug a headphone into a "line out"], and if so how does it know that headphones are connected? Please answer only if you've tried this. Thanks!
@@S-LAB So when you plug in a headphone, you get a reasonable volume? In my current pedals, when I connect a headphone to the "output" jack the volume is ridiculously low; this is because much more power is required to drive a [low impedance] headphone than to drive the [high impedance] "Input" jack on guitar amps. So in order to properly drive both, the A1 must effectively attach a different circuit depending on what's plugged into it. If you are getting reasonable volume, do you have any idea how the A1 "knows" that you have a headphone attached? Is there some way that you explicitly tell it, or does it just seem to work?
Hi ill08, sorry for the late reply. Now I had the chance to take screenshots of the five effects on 38 EVn Acoust. If you send me your e-mail to my business E-Mail, which is to be found in the Info-Tab of my UA-cam account, i will send you the five pics, you can restore the original Preset 👍
On the G1(X)Four there is a patch Pad Guitar. This combines slow attack with a form of sustain - turn off the slow attack to get some sustain. For super sustain I use my Burny LS-55s :-)
QUESTION: I have two adjacent patches, one with much reverb/delay and one with little or no reverb/delay. I alternate between two within songs and even in the middle of a chord. Can I change patches in the middle of a chord with no "click", no "pop", no silent gap, and with the reverb & delay "tails" continuing into the next patch? [I realize that to have continuing "tails" I must set "tail on" in the reverb & delay parameters.] Please answer only if you've actually tried this. Thanks!
@@S-LAB So if you have two adjacent patches could you try switching between them in the middle of a chord to see if it transitions smoothly with no clicks, pops, or gaps? And if one of them has reverb or delay could you set the tail option to "on" and tell me if these two effects continue decaying smoothly when the patch changes?
@@S-LAB Thanks so much. You just saved me a bunch of time, especially since stores no longer seem to have stuff on display where it can be tried. The primary difference between rackmount units (like my old Digitech GSP 1101) and foot units is that the rackmount units can handle this - they have parallel processing units that somehow keep the old patch running while you start the new patch. I was hoping that the increased miniaturization of processors would have allowed some pedal maker by now to have this capability, but I'm not finding any. Given that this is a really nice feature that people pay many $$ to get and that it is a prime differentiator between premium & non-premium products, it would be nice to see reviewers cover this topic more.
@@S-LAB It seems ironic that this unit would have "tail on" options for both reverb and delay, and yet be unable to switch smoothly between patches. The instruction manual explains that the "tail" preserves the decay of previous playing after the effect has been "turned off". Other than switching patches, how would they expect me to be turning off an effect without switching patches? I guess I might have a footswitch dedicated to this - but switching patches seems like a more likely way to change one's reverb & delay settings. Thanks again!
Thanks for posting this but you really should use the correct terminology when explaining the features. It can be confusing enough but it becomes more confusing when you use the wrong terminology. For example, there is no such thing as "stomp box effects." Stomp box is a mode. It shows what effects are available to turn on or off and adjust. Groups of effects, whether pre-set or created by the user are called patches. (You never even mentioned patches.) I would suggest that you understand the terminology well before you make a video so you don't confuse the viewer. Also, a HUGE thing that you didn't mention at all is Zoom Guitar Lab, the free application that allows you to do far more than you can with the the A1X Four alone although there is some overlap. In fact, that's where I create patches and make adjustments the vast majority of the time. And you have to use the Guitar Lab to delete and add new effects, etc., to the A1X Four. It's a free download so there's really no excuse to not even mention it. You can't even do some of the most important things with the A1X Four without using Zoom Guitar Lab. Maybe you should make another video about the lab but, if you do, please use the proper terminology so everyone is on the same page.
Hey Bob, thanks for your comment, I will reflect on your wise advice and furthermore try to improve my terminology too. And sorry, neither am I an expert on Guitars, nor on Guitar Effects, nor on the English language, since it is not my mother tongue. I just wanted to present this new tool as easy as it can obviously be used, luckily without a computer needed. That’s what I like so much about it, this way it's kind of back to the roots ...
He did a great job, very useful for a non techy player who might be thinking about buying this unit. Bob....with your knowledge and correct terminology it might be very helpful for some of us if you were to make your own tutorial.

Yes. At least the B1XFour. I power it off either the battery or a phone charger bank. The power input can be noisy. Works well.
can I run the output to a passive Di to the Pa
The output is equal to a regular guitar effect output
g8 explanation

So do you like this style better? ua-cam.com/video/r7acSt4U9-c/v-deo.html
You did great dude, especially in a foreign language all i can say is, Bob, cut this guy some slack.@@S-LAB
@@pedr0p0lis Thanks for the flowers, man!
@@ZOMBIELANDakaUSA hi Mr. Knownada, which Video do you mean?
He did a great job, very useful for a non techy player who might be thinking about buying this unit. Bob....with your knowledge and correct terminology it might be very helpful for some of us if you were to make your own tutorial.
