Just a note i have only one eye and just a couple of things for when someone is playing with only one eye. you can drive ive been driving since i was 16 with only one eye and also he needs to walk into things more often lol
I'd run with the fuckup on the thunder being like "Action sequance, the glass shatters and rainwater begins flooding in though the gaping framed that held the window." And then have them come back like a day later.
Glad you guys are enjoying it and role playing but just my 2 cents there seemed no balance between ether mafia guy interrupting every sentence and the 10 minute monologues.
It's interesting these reactions to Tommy. If the Game Master had fun and the other players had fun, I'm finding it hard to see how Nathan's playing is wrong?! Tomym the Tongue is a beloved character at our table. Annoying. Awkward. But awesome. ~Ben

D&D is very combat focused, CoC is much more running away and screaming kind of focused :-) It's more about investigation of dark horror material and is generally a slower paced game. It's based on the works of HP Lovecraft and you can get a good flavour of what it's like by reading his work, or watching our vids!
I would not say people don't play it much, it would definitely be in the top 10 games if you asked an avid role player. The game is on it's 7th edition (released 2016) after a massively successful Kickstarer and has been in print since 1981.

Simply making a conscious effort to stop worked for me.
