I have both hook and rolloff. It's like comparing iphone to flip phone. I'm jumping in the hook truck every day. Unfortunately we have to keep the rolloff truck around cause we have a bunch of older bins that are cable.
I can't believe how old fashioned American hoist trucks are. I drive hoist in Copenhagen, Denmark. I have a low cabin. If I need to lift higher than my roof to roll off my container, it means something is stuck, usually twisted rails or container bottom banged down so it scrapes the tipper frame. Besides that, we use two-wire dead lift hoist (means the container is lowered less than half a foot from the bumper / no frame sticking out behind). Hooklifts are always considered to need more height clearance than hoists over here. I believe I have a couple of old videos showing that on my other channel, Griffencph (without the extra cph at the end). There should be a list called "Containers - how to". By the way, our container locks work automatically.
@@lauramurray6690 My speak may not be good, especially not in English, but I tried to show you the European wire hoist. youtu be/s8p10j28HkM Remember to insert . in the space. About the rails getting stuck, notice I mean on the hoist frame, not the ground.
I run a hooktruck in south philly, sammy ain't lying,it is the worst environment for a dumpster driver.....but I deff like that t880.....👍👍👍clean as they come, nice wheels brotha
Sweet i hope to have a big hook lift like that one day, does the engine brake make a noise on that? Seems like these new trucks dont make any noise like the old trucks.
I want that hook truck to deliver ice cream with. Like to drop off an ice cream stand at the beach, where it’s hot and people want ice cream . Or maybe to drop off a boxing ring at a water park, with circus cats.
The reason they do those double rollers is because it's more complicated and more expensive and they can charge you more for it. Too small diameter rollers are only fractionally better than one large diameter roller. If your dumpster is getting bent then you've got a cheaply-made dumpster or you are way overloaded.
Sammy wanted me to talk he said. I wanted him to be himself I know Sammy for 10 years and we both respect each other and he asked me to take take the lead
Ye me to because I love to see it because those cans come within the height of that hook to the back of the truck. In other words you can reach back in the hook on a 10-wheeler might be long enough to reach back over a car no problem but as soon as you grab the can and start lifting it up it brings it to the truck. The container touches the back of the truck I would love to see him pick a container up without it touching the back of the truck
Wow I've been watching your videos pretty much for comedic relief. You had some decent info but you own a container business and don't know why that model number on your hook lift is what it is. That's a 50,000 lbs rating not 50 tons😒
It’s takes allot to makes these videos mistakes swill be made. Prob not going to make very many more seems my mistakes are more important than the content. Thanks for watching prob gonna stop producing the videos for others only do videos for my business
Hooklift is the way to go ! So much easier to load and off load dumpsters. That's all we use also. Great video!
thank you for the kind comment we love them also

I know I say that all the time I love the cab over types Soooooo much
How do your roll off not go up? How would the rail touch the ground? Everything I see in Europe is hooklift . A dead ripoff of the u.s stuff

Sounds like rocket science.
LOL not so much LOL
Great video. I’m thinking of getting a hook truck but I’m more familiar with roll-offs .
I love kooks but roll off where my first
I’m assuming the hook left is loose not as heavy as a roll off so you can haul more Waite

Hooktrucks save lives
That's the worst environment for anything that place is a toilet second to maybe New York City.
I’ve always drove roll off. My brother n I are getting into the business . Would you recommend using a lift truck or stick to roll off?
Def a hook truck
Beautiful new truck.
