Sam's heavy kick serve and her heavy top-spin FH which jumped off the court really troubled a smaller Justine. Justine had been able to Sam a month earlier on clay in Stuttgart, but it was indoors where the ball typically stayed lower.
@@pomerlain8924 It was also their first meeting in Stuttgart, Stosur was facing Henin's big arsenal for the first time. She was better prepared for RG.
@@pomerlain8924 funny point this is so true.. henin didn’t like thar high bounce on the clay.. but if she generally did better with that lower bounce why didn’t she do better at Wimbledon ?
Still can't get over the fact Sam didn't win that year. I mean come on, she beat Justine, Serena and Jankovic and than lost to Schiavone... IMO she deserved more RG title than USOpen, but who cares. At least she has won 1 grand slam, she deserved it.
Yep. She played her worst match in the final, against her pigeon in Schiavone. She easily could have 2-3 RG titles to go with her USO. She lost in the SF to Kuznetsova the year before, and then in 2012, she somehow lost to Sara Errani in the SF.
This is the problem Henin faced in her comeback. She's getting overpowered. That's the reason she retired in 2008. She knows she couldn't keep up with the stronger players.
Justine playing with a broken finger here. This part of the draw was really tough with Serena and Justine in it. Good old WTA days..
She didn't need that hand where her finger was broken...stop the lies
She made Justine look like a junior player 😮
I don't think so justine was playing with a broken finger she actually beat stosur at Stuttgart
@@khv6748 her little finger on her left hand…. Stop lol
@@khv6748 and it was a splint not broken lol
@@khv6748 She beat Stosur in Stuttgart after she injured her finger. So if anything her finger was in a better state at Rolang Garros.
Never seen anyone bully Henin on clay the way Stosur did here. Amazing performance by Sam.

Sam applying the pressure
Yes, desperate

Handin cursed Roland Garros and Samantha beat her, that's why Samantha lost to Schiavone.
Schiavone played amazing tennis in the finals, so she deserves it too, no doubt.
Samantha has beautiful eyes and hair.
She couldn't hand cheat her way out of this match now could she?
Justine Henin losing to one of the so called weak era players. Great match form both players though.
Good, good she lost. She was a cheater.

That's not true
Sam was an mission to def the cheater
