@norman smithers Steffi couldn't be an in-form Monica Seles, who overpowered her time and time again before the stabbing, even at Roland Garros. Steffi beat a 17 year old Serena, big deal. Hennin in her prime was GOAT.
Damn she Donut Serena in the first set Wow !!!
Justine pound for pound is the most talented player ever.
Not too sure if henin had a self destruction imploding like she did against Marion bartoli in the Wimbledon semifinal .. not sure if that had much to do with this match ? Or if it was all Serena playing her A game which wasn’t too likely as Serena didn’t have A game here
I always felt Henin just didn't have anything left in the tank against Bartoli after that Serena quarterfinal. Henin was frail in so many ways, and I think when she had tough matches she'd come out flat. Hard to say though, as that first set against Bartoli was pure tennis.
@@deedledave9826 but why was henin so frail? I don’t get it.. it was her only second grand slam of the year.. she should have had more in her..
@@justineandserena Good question, and I'm really not sure. It could be that the turnaround from the French Open was too short? I also think in Grand Slams where she fell short (Aus '06 and '10, US Open '06) a lot of it had to do with tough 3 setters she played prior to the final. It could all be in my head though.
@@deedledave9826 sounds about right yea
Except at Wimbledon 2006 she had no 3 setters until the final with mauresmo
Which she choked..
@@justineandserena That was definitely a choke haha.
I often wonder how she would have fared at Wimbledon 2010 had she not gotten injured against Clijsters. She seemed so determined and focused that tournament.
❤ Justine Henin ❤
Pound for pound smallish Henen Ardenne greatest female tennis player, greatest 1 handed backhand. Robert at 67.
Prettiest backhand and nice variety but we don’t go by a players weight, she could bang the ball well.
If you don’t have nothing good to say then keep your mouth shut 🤐 it was a good game Serena was just better
@@genevaausley2665 I just reported the facts in an opinion format and used no fowl language or putdowns. If you dont like it you're the one with the problem.
Agree
Really love her ball striking. She threw her body weight on her forehands and with her backhands, she sliced it or just accelerated the racket head towards the ball, making the shots formidable…
@@AliiScott didn't she win 7 GS? Things happen, its just a game
Henin was her only rival imo though venus fought a lot of finals against her because she disposed of henin
Never be another Justine.
A questionable call? Hello - it’s called the challenge system.
Henin was way more talented, love her back hand
😍😍😍
Serena allows opponents to overwork themselves in the 1st , just to beat them the next 2 sets. Lol🎉🎉❤
Just Henin make it Serena trouble to win....love it Henin
Justine Henin is my fave
👍👍👍👏👏👏

Serena is just having a good time...Olympia is her life.... seems tennis and fashion are just fun sidebars...
I think she sees the end. I think 2023 might be a tennis year without the likes of the Williams sisters, Federer, and maybe even Nadal. End of an era.
Dude she is 40, so yeah no shit.
Serena won this match out of pure determination. Her tennis was not that good. And still beat her . 😅 (just look at that first set, it was disastrous 😢, so many unforced errors).
Grace ,elegance vs noisy violence and brutal force. I love Hénin
It's very funny how players like Henin and Cljsters made life miserable on the court for the Williams, especially Serena.
You don't mess with Serena in Miami
Unless you're
Venus
Hingis
Capriati
Osaka
Wozniacki
Azarenka
Kuznetsova
Justine busted her knee cap.
🎾👑🎉
Serena played quite poor in this match, if the highlight is anything to go by. Imagine the 2012 Serena’s form being played in this match, it would have been a str8 sets win.
Henin is great but Serena is GOAT.
Henin best
And then there was Henin who could bagel Serena
Then Serena sent her a bagel of her own the following year, demolishing her with 6-0 6-2
Serena tied with Sharapova for most annoying on court squealing/grunting sounds during play.
agree
Nah Venus is worse and now Sabalenka is keeping them company
The following year he in retired because she was caught using peds for the second time 🤣
I cant remember Serena getting bageled…
too much for the small 1 handed !
s williams doped

Less sh*t cluttering the screen back then
she choked...it happens to women more often......competition is not for fragile souls....
man vs woman
Come on crap is irritating
Look at serena's body structure compare to henin's body, she is a tiny little girl, technicly serena has a man body, she is got more power than most of the girls.
No henin as a boy body (not even a man body) no feminine curves at all. I know know a single man who has juicy big boobs (henin is flat like a boy) big curvy ass like most black women (again Henin had a flat ass like a boy). Serena has hips, something Henin will never have with her narrow, BOY SHAPE. I know many boys shepe like her, but i have never met a man shaped like Serena (boob, ass, hips). 😂😂😂😂😂
Justine was a fantastic player. She will always be one of the greats of all time. Serena just played great tennis down the stretch. This was one of Serena's defining grand moments in tennis.
Not sure it compares that well to any of the 23 major titles she won. How many 'defining grand moments' do you consider her having?
@@jodyvance1554 this match was much more difficult than several entire slams out of of her 23 victories, so yeah, it compares very well indeed.
@@jodyvance1554 Many. This "grand moment" may not be a slam but she came back and beat a fellow all-time great and one of her greatest rivals. I'd say that was pretty grand.
