My wife and I bought our 2016 Spyder RT-S four weeks ago and planned on riding the Blue Ridge Parkway this fall. Well, since then a big ol' mean hurricane came in and tore everything to pieces. May God have mercy on them. They now closed the parkway. I guess God didn't want us to see it. We have rode the Skyline Drive section a few years back on our Harley. It was beautiful 😊
@@timgiles9413 I had reservations in Maggie Valley for last week and obviously had to cancel. Went to the Ozarks instead. Take a look at the video I put out last week on Eureka Springs.
Water rock Knob is our absolute favorite sunset spot on the other side you were on. You must check it out. We love. Waynesville and it’s only 20 minutes to the best sunset spot we’ve found. Have seen bears on the parkway on our way up also.
We were up there last October for the fall colors and a train ride at Bryson City, NC coming from West TN.......traffic was heavy and stop and go thru Gatlinburg. Everybody has the same idea about driving thru for the fall colors but it is breath taking. Thanks for taking us along for your ride.

We accidentally found ourselves in Waynesville and had lunch at the Sweet Onion. Neat town and great restaurant.
lived in east TN for YEARS, the best times of my life were enjoying the Parkway with the love of my life, Barbara Norton, miss them both
Glad the video brought back great memories.

Went up to Klingmans Dome on my Honda 1100! I can't wait to do that on the Spyder!
That whole area is great. Hope you enjoy the Spyder ride.
Have seen lots of elk on 441 around the visitor center , also try Peters Pancake shop. Yum yum. Enjoy, we were there two weeks ago.
Saw two elk grazing along 441 south of the visitor center and two in Cherokee. Bucks were in velvet.
isn't there camp sites up that way? thought i seen some youtube videos of bikes and spyders camping there.
You may want to check recreation.gov for availability of sites in the national park.
