When I was 12 I borrowed _Scott's_ from the local library.
Thank you for sharing. I am so glad I watched this video. I will definitely take a look them.
Glad it was helpful!
Stamp world has a feature that shows you all the stamps from any topical collection from oldest to newest plus the number of stamps that fall in each topic. Your video is awesome as usual and is always time well spent. Merci Beaucoup from Canada
Well I'll be darned, I found it under the Advanced Search! That is super cool and I appreciate you sharing that information!!! Thanks!
Thanks for all of the information provided. While I was aware of most of these sites, "Stamp Smarter" is one I had missed; it's quite worthwhile to check out.
It's a great site to be sure!
thx for sharing.. I was using hipstamp but was never aware that I could search for collections, and that's why I was going on auctions on ebay.. Great help
Thank you for the kind words about the Stamp Smarter site.
My pleasure, your site is a great help and a solid achievement in my eyes.
Stanley Gibbons sells stamps of the world, not just the British Commonwealth.
Haha - you missed The Digital Philatelist! :P
LOL, oops... I will probably do another video later on about youtube channels and will definently put you in there/mention your website.
Morning Kyle .so do you buy
Stamps.from views if they got.❤
where to buy and sell stamp better?
Hi Kyle, thx for your informative videos! Do you know if these online catalogues have the possibility of marking which stamps are in your collection? I'm now using old paper catalogues, but nowadays there must be online catalogues for this purpose.
Thanks! I do not think these catalogs have a inventory feature. If they do, I have not heard about it! I suppose looking specifically for inventory software might be appropriate!
I feel it really isn't worth buying a catalogue even every couple years or so, they generally speaking dont have that great of an update depending how many new stamps have been released since the last publication, not even worth it for the price update because we all know the amount of bearing a catalogue price has over any stamp sale/purchase, if we got anywhere near the cat price it would be a bit more worthwhile, and in the age of 'image search' it wont be long till catalogues are a digital only resource, what good is something that tells you something is worth say £100 but you never see more than 20/30 on a good day when there are a dozen websites that not only tell you about the stamp release and paper/ink types, they will also give you some history that ties into it or links that lead you down some pretty cool rabbit holes
Totally agree with you, it is not worth it! If someone ever makes a catalog that reflects market value for the average joe and not just dealers that would be great. Maybe they could list values for varying conditions as well. I'm not going to hold my breath though. It's sort of like there isn't a catalog geared toward the collector, yet we are what keeps the hobby alive...
@@KylesStamps I think thats the biggest problem with them, they show the price achieved under perfect conditions, stamp condition, sale promotion by way of auction house name/brand, the perfect group of competing bidders etc
I find the best way at least to make a relatively quick sale/valuation is just to check the price similar items previously sold for on ebay, havnt found another public sale list with as much daily updated info as ebay yet
Hey Kyle, will you do a video on CTO stamps?
Maybe at some point I could do a short video on it.
Very interesting my friend
Blessings
