Thanks for this vid - it was a lifesaver!! Knocked the mirror off the ball socket with my head, cleaning the dash for dust, in the process of trying to attach it again, the rest of the attachment fell off - I tried to twist it back on but with the plastic trim around it was impossible and just infuriating - saw your vid and realized I could unscrew the metal part and attach the mirror assembly on the comfort of my living room - your a lifesaver - again, thank you soooo much!!!!
Can I take switched power from one of these leads for my radar detector? Would make for much cleaner installation than routing through the headliner and down the windshield or door post.
Curious how this would work if the aluminum mirror structure is held in place by a screw? I can't imagine any of this force would go anywhere other than damaging the fastener or mirror assembly. Please clarify if I have this wrong.

Great DIY video. Thank you for sharing.
My 2020 Y had some white crusty thread lock on the TRX screw and pissed me off!!!
What if the mirror comes off the ball socket. It’s hard to push back on don’t want to force it
I believe it twists on
sir can you model 3 same open?
very similar
Thank you, 🎉🎉
You’re welcome 😊
Where is the gos antenna
?
Little trick for you .. to remove the little cap … you just need to hit the mirror in the middle with your palm ….

What is the purpose of this? If you clip back on for tinting, why remove it at all?
cleaner install
