    Do you remember 30-40 years ago when we didn't have all this expensive equipment that we have now I remember back then having a ball and catching all kinds of fish on our little 33 and 202 and 404 and 808 and 888 Zeb cos why did everything have to get so expensive after all of that I thought we did just fine back then but now it's a billion-dollar business it was just for fun and a hobby but now it's a great big old business just goes to show you that times have changed.
    Wow that's beautiful country you get to go to and all that different kind of wild meat you get to eat I tell you I envy you

      It only changes if you want it to. One can still go sit on the bank with all that old stuff and give it a whirl. Every now and then I do that but its by no means as productive. Its relaxing and affordable though.

      One thing about catfish is you can find them all over. I like the relaxation of catfishing over others.

    Live out on the point on Talala Creek inlet of Lake Oologah. Catfishing is awesome I’m finally figuring it out. A lot different than fly fishing in the high country of Colorado. I need to figure out Crappie next.

    Those electronics are insane! How much do they cost? I'm guessing that's a thousand plus.

      Each screen is $3k and the livescope system is $1700 additional.

    I have a question. I’ve caught blues and took them home and fried them up. Either I’m doing something wrong or it’s just the blues but some seem tough? Seems like it’s not done or something. I never have that problem with channels. Thoughts?

    Did I hear that correctly....you're fishing in 2-4ft of water? How many rods you got out at a time? In Minnesota it's illegal to have more than one rod out at a time.

    • @StarkeyOutdoors
      @StarkeyOutdoors  Рік тому +1

      Yes. They get shallow sometimes. As it gets colder they will follow the bait fish to deeper water. We can use 7 each in Okla.

      @@StarkeyOutdoors That's awesome, 7 rods! I actually just moved to Oklahoma so been trying to figure out the fish here, much different than Minnesota. Loved the video, I watched it all the way through!

    How does that seaarc do drifting in the wind? Does the nose stay down wind pretty good? I run a tracker deep v and I constantly have to use my trolling motor to keep it going straight down wind.

    • @StarkeyOutdoors
      @StarkeyOutdoors  9 місяців тому +1

      I always use my tm. If I drift I have to keep bumping the tm to stay sideways. Anymore I anchor fish or go slow dragging into the wind which isnt natural.

    • @okieNoodler24
      @okieNoodler24 9 місяців тому

      I drift with the wind as well. I used to drift sideways cause its easier on control. I just hate when I get snagged. It’s harder for me to break my line when I don’t have a runway like a do when I’m drifting nose down

      Realy good rods. I tried a bunch of different rods but i cant find fault with B&M. Just wish they were different colors so i can say get the red one or green one or blue one. When i 14 red ones i cant call colors.
