      @@kellypw8186 Pretty inspiring watching you take that fat bottom girl on those trails. Especially that “quick trip” into Moab for gas. What upgrades do you have over stock suspension so I know what is minimally required on those trails for a long wheel base?

      @@lostlarry thanks! I really enjoy getting it out and seeing what it can do!
      The entire truck is stock except for AEV salta wheels, 37" tires, white knuckle rock sliders and a tonneau cover. Otherwise it's as it came from the factory. The OEM Power Wagon suspension is soft and flexible and well suited to rock crawling as it comes.
      What long wheel base rig are you running?

      @@kellypw8186 I know my Ramcharger will fit now, we are planning this route next spring. Also down in Valley of the Gods/Monument Valley. Trying to decide on the middle area in between. But seeing that big boy make it is encouraging. I’m on 6” lift and 35s, LSD rear and an Aussie locker in the front D44.

    At one point on the downhill when Alan and Nancy passed the camera, I said "hold up!" and had to rewind. Very impressed with Nancy's driving skills! This is possibly my favorite trail video ya'll have posted. Kudos to Deb as well......I know she did a lot of filming, and spotting. My daily driver is a RAM so you know I'm a BIG Kelly fan too!

      Mark, I agree! Nancy did an amazing job! She got my vote for the driver of the trip for sure. Bill and Deb work very hard to make all of this happen. Between the two of them filming and spotting they walk as much as they drive!
      Hope your Ram is treating you well, they build one tough truck!

    Another Fantastic video!!! Being able to revisit this trip through your film brings back just how incredible the scenery is out West. Bobby’s Hole looked a lot steeper on the drone footage but watching you go down the trail from the dash cam brought back just how steep it was. See y’all at Expo.

    One of the funnest trails in the state and some of the best permit camping as well in my opinion anyway. We ran it in the opposite direction in the spring. This video brought back some great memories. Thanks for sharing.

    GREAT video. I can only imagine the pucker factor coming down that one route. I’m running in a Ford Expedition, so I can appreciate that power wagon trying to maneuver around that area.

      Thanks for watching! I wouldn't be able to do half of what I do with that Power Wagon without great spotting from Bill and Deb.
      As I'm sure you know from driving your Expedition, there are a lot of situations where you just can't see anything. A good spotter makes all of the difference. Hope to see you out on the trail someday!

      @@CoddiwompleOverland I must have missed what you called this trail…What’s the “PW?” Also, how much fuel did you need to have for the JKU’s on the longest of these legs? edit…I guess “PW” was the “Power Wagon.”

      This section was Beef Basin, Bobby's Hole, Devils Lane and Elephant Hill. Yes, the PW is the Power Wagon. The longest legs were around 150 miles. I would recommend carrying at least 4 extra gallons for the JK's

    This is your best work yet. There were a couple of times in the video I hoped for a drone perspective of the obstacles, but I understand your hands were full navigating them. I noticed the music was given attention and the transitions were looking good too. Great work and I’m jealous. I think my wife would beat me for taking her to that Elephant Hill obstacle though. Lol

      Thank you very much! We were not able to use the drone past Bobby's Hole as we were in a National Park. But you are right, drone footage of that would have been amazing! Thank you for watching

      Airports, national and state parks. Everything else is pretty open. We use an app to check for restrictions if we are unsure.

      1. We use a Go Pro hero 9 for our dash cam
      2. Kelly doesn't have an actual hood monkey. This is a long running joke on the channel where Kelly once said that he would like to have a little monkey on the hood to tell him which way to turn. Since then Jeep and Ram have come out with new vehicles featuring forward facing cameras, or "hood monkeys"

      It is Geo Mat it is used to stabilize the soil. It is used by the National Forest services.

      Yes it was installed for this trip. We have over 50,000 miles on it with zero issues. It is one of the best mods that we have made to that Jeep

    New viewer so not sure if you typically share your route, but is there a name for the trail/road that runs from basically the beginning until you start bobbys hole? I noticed on another comment you said beef basin, but I couldnt find online any trail in beef basin that looked like the opening scene in this video. Thanks!

    Just curious what was the black debris on the side of the steep decent around the 15 min mark?

      Good question. It is called geo mat. The idea behind it is soil stabilization on a surface that erodes easily. But more times than not, it ends up looking like this... The NFS and BLM tend to use it a lot on trails that they have at of trouble with keeping them maintained.
