this is cool but if you wanted to do a cannon plane the xa38 grizzly or a hs129 duck would of been cool but a10 needs to be a brrrrrrrtttttt

You should replace the nerf blaster for airsoft "gun". Higher fire rate + more ammo = better!

That was what I was going to say. Looked like the nerf darts didn’t fly well because the darts weren’t mutch faster than the plane

But I agree it was super slick!
Making it fly with just the two motors in the back and not in the wings would make it a lot more realistic
it is much harder though as the center of mass and thrust won't line up like it does with this design.

@@FlyingBanana985all the other RC A-10 foamies use only the rear EDFs. Same thrust line as the real A-10. It also has straight wings which provide lift and require less thrust.

Take the props off, add some EDFS and gear, then move that battery back up front if needed and it would be cool to have some bombs and cam to watch them hit their targets 😊

3D printed whistle bomb would be so cool. I saw someone attach it the end of an arrow and shoot it. Maybe a weight and a hatch to drop it from the plane. Awesome video

hey if you ever get the idea to make another one from the ground up , may i suggest a different route of building the fuselage and chasis frame.
you can get tig wire/filler rod, any metal type will do. a 10 pound tube should be more than enough. you can bend these and tack them to form a hoop frame chasis or 3dprint fasteners after you bend them to connect them together if you dont have a welder or torch setup. you could probablly get away with brazing them together as well.
this design would survice any type of crash landing, your exterior may not but if you make it modular you could print backup pieces that snap and fit onto the hoopframe chasis .
Definitely add a FPV camera at the front! It'd be awesome to upgrade to paintball and take it to a paintball fight.

This video is criminally underrated. Easily the coolest rc plane project I have seen in a while.. and "Built Fast" has been dropping some banger builds lately. Yet this is cooler. I agree with others asking about a separate video on the updated cnc foam cutter. Thank you for the dose of inspiration!!

A good idea could be to just remove the small motors on the wings and go with bigger motors on the back. Where the actual engines of the A-10 are located.

I have an idea for the gun you can use two high speed motors with wheels so they can easily shoot the ammo
You should make a bigger RC plane that drops bombs or at least small foam ones and so experiment with the mechanism for dropping the bombs and targeting them.
Built that backwards. The A-10 is not an aircraft with a gun attached, it’s a gun with a plane attached.

You're really bringing my dreams/nightmares to life with these projects. Add some AI control to it and you'll have the nightmare part nailed. Of course, if you want a good next project, use a couple of microjet engines and build an Me-262.
The a10 cannon isn’t centered in the fuselage it’s offset to one side
looks great, but the propellers could be replaced with 2 large edfs
Might be late, but it would be awesome if you made a b-1 lancer with controlable wings that could go back like an f-14
I would love to see one of these with a full auto ruger 10 22 with a high cap magazine. Highly illegal but it would be cool.

Very cool build. Try using ducted fans. Definately FPV, and then get something like a Umarex Steel Storm in there.....(full auto BB gun)
Could you put more motors in the back 2 engines to accelerate the air more and then remove the motors on the wings? Obv a fair bit of mods would need done but you could counteract with airsoft system instead of nerf
To add, I wish it had only the "real" engines, not the wings ones.

With @krystofkuh’s comment i think a AEG motor or an AEP with an inbuilt tracer in the hopup and a short innerbarrel you could have a cool night view of fpv flyby. I have sketched and assembled something similar with a pp-19 round magazine or a short hi-cap stanag mag
You didn't even need the motors in the wing, by using the big fan, a compression system + a module with some heaters and a fit exhaust at the end, will have make it able to carry even a (scale-sized) tank with batteries and some DYI bombs (of no more than air or dust (maybe sand)).

Make a plane that can drop stuff from the back and then drop parachutes with a firework attached to it.
You should add an FPV Camera and try and do a "bomber run" with a bunch of targets set up! Maybe you could even have people trying to shoot it down...
I’m not surprised it took off at a low speed. It’s a slow plane. If it’s close enough to the real plane, you could probably fly it with only one wing and one engine.
Next time, put an airsoft gun inside, it can hold wayyy more rounds, and some contro up to 75rps, like the a10
HS-129 B3 should be next! if you could get the big gun working that would be cool. i guess depending on scale you could use paintballs!

for war thunder, instead of a long process for building, its an even longer process of grinding out the entire us tech tree to get the a10 late, or buying the 50 dollar a10a

Replace the back motors with EDF and remove the wing motors, then replace Nerf blaster gun with full auto airsoft gun. Lastly add FPV. The perfect plane!!!

Also maybe rifle the gun and add stronger motors so that the nerf bullets don’t dip down so fast and go straighter and so you have a more accurate and stronger gun.

if it flies well at a third throttle then why have motors on the wings? it adds weight and further complicates the electronics. Also it looks better without them.

You should make it shoot airsoft BBs. You can get higher projectile velocities and carry more ammunition

what would it normally have as oppossition? Build that and equip it with darts/ laser tag module...have a dog fight in the sky....or better re-enact a true scenario where both pilots are distances away...1 is on trajectory to some war type objective...maybe even a bomber with mock bombs that drop outta a payload/ hatch.... or water balloons tho heavy. Then try to intercept it and use the nerf darts or rig up that lasertag stuff to strobe a red yellow light....theres even mini smoke generators made from ecigs...saw some on etsy pre made..but i know rc sites sell em for tanks or drifting rc cars to look like they are actually burning out.....
The fuselage is complete overkill with its inner structure 3d printed outer structure and additional laminating. But the wings instead just out of foam. That doesn't make sense. It would be totally sufficient just to print out the fuselage or build it out of foam with a additional laminate layer.

You should upgrade the nerf dart cannon to an airsoft cannon instead, you could have alot more "bullets" and it would alot easier for it to shoot faster. I am almost confident that it would not weigh as much even if u had more bbs then nerf darts, Thanks!

with a BB gun it would be better because the darts due to the speed of the plane it go less than 2 meters and with a fpv camera with BBs it would be good

I wonder if the dolly would work better as a tail dragger layout?
Install a camera at a point of the fuselage get a headset and connect it to the camera for a more better view of it
you should use the round hyper nerf darts to get more ammo.
Not only it has extra motors on the wing, but it also ejects the shells which is not realistic at all 😢😢
