This is for Chis. I saw the comments on the video on you both answering questions. I saw the comments were harsh on you. But I felt like people didn’t understand what you both were saying. I wonder if they didn’t understand what I saw. And I realize that they didn’t understand what you both said. Please don’t take that to heart. You are a person that to me that needs clarity on how to handle your daughter. Know that you’re a wonderful parent and your wife is a wonderful parent. But you have two different ways to handle your experience with an autistic child. Know that We are viewing you as observers of your experiences. I don’t live your life and I only see a minuscule amount of your life. I love your perspective and appreciate your perspective. Live your life the way that works for your family. Love your content.
This warms my heart. I've been following this precious baby girl's journey for a while now. Her progress is phenomenal, thanks to two loving, patient, and compassionate parents!❤❤
Y'all are the true meaning of the word parents!!!!! Y'all keep continuing to have patience with her. Cause once she starts talking ain't no telling her to be quiet!!!!! May God continue to keep His hedge of protection over the family and may God bless y'all!!!! As usual " Let's go Mikko" !!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😂😂😂😂🙏🙏🙏🙏🐥🐥👍🫵
I just cannot believe how amazing you guys have done with her. I've commented on so many of your videos. I have worked with kids all over the spectrum, but I Have never ONCE seen any parent whatsoever work with them OUTSIDE A CENTER AND AT HOME like you guys have. I mean, PERIOD. Never. It is incredible, her emerging speech.
Mikko has a bright future, and that's all thanks to you two. Don't give up, keep being patient, keep teaching her, keep being involved with her life. You're hard work will pay off! I'm learning from you for when I have my own children! God bless you all! ❤❤❤
Mikko is so smart. It's amazing to see her grow. The amount of love and patience and care from her parents is truly awesome and encouraging. She's absolutely amazing. Good job
This is the only channel on UA-cam I check everyday to see if there is a new video uploaded. Thanks for sharing Mikkos journey, I been watching for a while now. Awesome job, this takes teamwork for sure!
As a parent of a special needs kid, I know when confronted with the reality, you kinda subconsciously steel your resolve and you bring your A game, because you have to. She seems too be a pretty happy kiddo overall and that's because of you two. She feels loved, which is evident. That's fundamental. You've got this.
Mikko is progressing well. It’s a lot of work for you all but look at how far she’s come. Praying for you all that you continue. She’s your baby and God knew she would require some “extra “ love on this journey called life.
She's going to be just fine! I have a friend with a daughter a year older. Mom and dad took her learning in their hands and lead the way, and that lil princess will be starting 1st grade next year (with a helper)! You two are awesome parents. Never allow anyone to label your babies.
This beautiful girl is progressing and it's only because her parents are putting in the effort . I can assume it can be very exhausting at times, but your hard work is paying off. May the most high bless your family.
Beautiful, dad and mom, Keep Going! It's working beautifully! Chris, you are so important. Actually, you both are. Chris, it's amazing and beautiful to see the love and tenderness you have for Mikko, and how Mikko just seems to light up when you're around her. She loves and trust you completely. Nothing can replace that! Y'all, it may be a challenge, but it is sooooooo worth it, Keep Going! Let all your challenging times/days, prove that God is Good, because He Is! You are an awesome family! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
She is so smart and sweet and blessed to have you two as her parents. The patience you all show her gives her the freedom to grow and learn because it’s all done in love. You all are so blessed.
Mikko continues to make great strides daily. Loving how both mom and dad work together to assist Mikko. Mikko will continue to progress. Her progress from a year ago is truly amazing. Blessings to this wonderful family!!!
She was super meticulous in lining up the edges of the blanket. 🎉🎉🎉🎉. Miko is my hero. Goooo daddy!!! You're awesome ❤❤❤. Love how mommy is the super coach. You all are incredible. Lots of love, blessings and prayers.
Mikko has made great strides in just 1 year. You'll are such good parents. Just your patience speak volumes. She is an adorable little girl, and it's my prayer that she progresses cognitively and coherently as she grows. Two of my nephews and my niece are autistic at different levels and degrees, but the one thing they have in common is that they are highly intelligent. One nephew is 15, and he speaks Japanese but never sat in a classroom to learn it, and his brother, who is 13, has more of common sense. My niece, who is 4, is verbal and still learning. As for not understanding mikko, it's almost like when I'm trying to understand what my 2 year old granddaughter is saying, and as she repeats it sometimes I understand sometimes I don't but she is progressing and so is your daughter. I pray more people will be added to your channel because they would learn so much from you guys. It's refreshing to see her dad very much hands-on as well. Blessings..and im praying for you.
It’s so overwhelming for my heart ♥️ to watch the progress on how far Mikko has come. The patience, dedication and love that you both have for her is definitely helping her through her struggles that she faces from day to day. My honest opinion is that the Supreme Creator God Almighty, chose 2 amazing parents to be the Shepherds, over His little sheep Mikko. Bountiful blessings, and love ❤️ and prayers to you all!! 🙏🏾
You both are doing an amazing job with raising awareness about different types of autism she’s coming along with the continuously loving and supportive of her parents 🥰‼️
BUT GOD 🙏 I am so overjoyed eight now watching your angel grow and prosper. Her speech is so improved and I am so proud of you two for your work with her and EACH OTHER. GOD bless your family 😊
She is improving so much for yours efforts god bless to your family. am facing same problems with my daughter now she is 3 , am training her hardly she is trying so much to whole day activity 😊❤
My 3.5yr old and Mikko mirror each other very closely. I’ve gotten 2 evaluations so far and I feel like they’re masking her sensory issues and being nonverbal with her intelligence. I’m being told that she’s fine because even her nonverbal cues are well within context. But as a nurse of 15yrs and a mother of 3 I know tha she’s autistic just high functioning. You guys are such an inspiration and I’m thankful to be able to follow your journey❤️
The level of kindness, patience, and understanding you have with Mikko is rare. So many kids with disabilities don't get the help they need and they are misunderstood and abused (intentionally or unintentionally).
Love this family just beautiful Love the way your family overcome all these obstacles one step at a time. Your family shows other people it is possible. Don't give up.
I love this girl!!!❤❤❤ I know there are challenging moments when caring for differently able children, but you do it with such grace! The grace isn't only for her, but it's for yourself too. You give yourself permission to fail and try again. I'm so glad God chose you all to be her people, and I'm so very grateful that you all allow us into your family moments...ups, downs and in-between! Lots of love to you all!❤❤❤❤ And the happy shimmy when she put the pancake back on the fork!!!! Everything!!!!😂
I'm impressed and inspired by all 3 of your progress and development through mikkos growth. Cutie pie is too precious. Lol mini precious. Anyways...thanks again for sharing. I want everyone in your family to thrive. also chris good job on your personal growth journey as well. The military is a core part for some ppl and the transition seems hard. It is amazing that you are trying to move foward together. I am rooting for all of you.
Thank you both for sharing your beautiful daughter Mikko is maturing so much I love watching how great parents you both are 🥰God bless your family ❤❤❤❤🙏🏽
I'm so proud of Mikko. Just watching her here melts my heart ,so come should a long way with gentle guidance from you both, especially you, Precious I commend you, suburb job 👍👏🙏❤️
Mikko is so adorable. My little girl Morgan is eleven, and that is exactly what her speech sounds like. She's not reading Flash Cards yet but she is repeating a lot. So I use that as a opportunity to get her to use her voice more to request things.
Hugs to You and little Morgan. My brother is 55, who was Austic and they didn't know what to do with him. Believe it or not my brother is high functioning, articulate, and methodical.
A mother's love for her child is out of this world. You loved your daughter so much and you were determined to help and guide her through this. I really admire your love❤
I really loved this video. Thank you for sharing. I loved the moment when Miko said her favourite part of the dress is the part that looks like a jacket. It was so impressive that she could see the similarities in the placket of her dress and those on coats. She's a smart cookie! And her determination and patience is to be commended too. She gets that from you Mama, and Papa🩷
She is thriving! You two are doing an amazing job while juggling the other sibs and life in general. Watching her spell and then sound /act out CRY, made me teary! ❤❤❤❤❤❤ Loving the journey
Mikko is so adorable. She has learned so much in just one year. She gives this man such joy to watch her interact with mom and dad. I always love her hair whether puffy like at 3 years old or braids at 4. Chris sure loves his daughter and takes time with Mikko to explain and knows just the right things to say including sounds. Precious, you are always so considerate and know Mikko so well and ask just the right breakfast questions. So wise to begin with the pancakes and then possibly add the bluberries or raspberries. Mikko struggled a bit with eating the pancake bites but eventually got the fork in the right position to get a bite which made her so happy. When she goes to the bedroom she wears those adorable pajamas and tries so hard to please every request of mom and dad. Mikko is a little 'lovebug'. She aims to please. I will predict that in 14 or 15 years, she will be the most beautiful woman full of love and tenderness. Chris is good at self criticism which goes a long way to keeping a happy home and family. I miss Maenzie and Matthew when they are not in the video as they too are adorable and so well mannered. Great job Chris and Precious!! Your family is in my prayers.
You two are simply amazing parents. I swear I can say I was honestly wrong about Autism. Mikkos' story is the perfect definition of what Autism looks like.
Miko is so beautiful with her pretty long hair. She is no longer nonverbal. She just needs a little help with her speech. Mom and dad are doing a wonderful job with her routine. Keep up the good work.❤❤❤
I swear Mikko be have me jumping up and down and cheering! It was so cute seeing Mikko drink out of her Das hands! Mikko understands everything it’s just that her ability to repeat what she’s hear is sometimes distorted. In our child’s case they said it was a PROCESSING issue. We tried the FM TRAINER but it has an awful and disturbing sound. So we didn’t use it. It’s like as our child got older the processing part healed/developed and so did the speech and communication. Y’all got this! Mikko is going to write a book before she is 18 that will help so many! Watch what I say! We take so much for granted but something like seeing her working and completing tasks just send me over the top! You all have the best children!
You two are doing a phenomenal job. I know they’ve been difficult moments along the way, but the patience and love showered upon Mikko is beautiful. Continuous prayers up for you and your family as you navigate this incredible path to Mikko’s growth and verbal accomplishments! Thank you for sharing Mikko with us! She’s beautiful!! 🥰🥰
My mind went to use a cup, then thought mayb there is a reason, thought against that because she was calm, I don't know but I get you, She 😊is indeed adorable, great Job to her family
She's only making progress because they are working with her. I was verbally delayed, I sounded identical to her but I had complete understanding of what was said to me I just refused to speak in a way that was understandable to most people, however I decided to to start talking on my own one day and did not require therapy. This is clearly something she can work on as she is improving but left to her own devices I believe she would elect to not communicate verbally, especially with her dental issues making it uncomfortable. They're doing amazing work with her but she is non verbal.
Mikko’s both speech delayed and minimally verbal. She isn’t non verbal, but because of her echolalia, she doesn’t usually say things that are pertinent to the situation, she’s just repeating things she’s heard without actually understanding what they mean a lot of the time.
@@lipsticknbuns you might notice in the last few videos that she's going through the "NO!" phase that we usually see from children around 18-24 months, but she's 4. That's a delay. She's going through the same phases of language development that every child does - first she screamed to express that she needed something, then she made individual sounds, then she babbled, then she started naming objects, and now she's at "NO!" / testing boundaries with her words. She's just on a delayed timeline at the moment. It's very common in autistic kids.
Am very proud of you guys that's good parenting. I have an almost three year old boy who is exactly the same as Mikko when she was little... I have no idea where to start from.
Y'all are doing great! I'm sure along the way you've gotten discouraged thinking you weren't making any progress, but now you can see what your time & patience have produced. You should be very pleased. 💝
She has come such a long way in 12 months, the way she persevered with the folding without losing her cool was great, good work mum and dad
I agree ❤
I noticed she is very intuned with her father, really giving him long eye contact and seem to be very cheerful around him. Very telling, so cute 😊

I enjoyed watching Mikko communicate her needs/wants. She is simply adorable. 😍

Mikko’s both speech delayed and minimally verbal. She isn’t non verbal, but because of her echolalia, she doesn’t usually say things that are pertinent to the situation, she’s just repeating things she’s heard without actually understanding what they mean a lot of the time.
I heavily agree she’s not non verbal she’s just delayed but they don’t want to hear that crap
Can you explain the difference to me? I a new to this but my son was diagnosed with speech delay, and I’m trying to understand.
She’s doing SO GREAT!!! I have goosebumps. Fabulous job y’all! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Aww 🥰 it's so cute how she tucked cookie monster in and put the pillow behind his head
Am very proud of you guys that's good parenting. I have an almost three year old boy who is exactly the same as Mikko when she was little... I have no idea where to start from.
Mikko has come a long way, great job as parents 🎉
Y'all are doing great! I'm sure along the way you've gotten discouraged thinking you weren't making any progress, but now you can see what your time & patience have produced. You should be very pleased. 💝
