Thank you for posting! I've always done this to see where the error was, if it was on my part or just infertility. People do the same with autopsies but animal rights activists see it as cruel. Hopefully you've learned from your mistakes and best of luck to you in the future!!!
If you want to clean an egg put it on an ants nest for a few days. This also works with a full egg. Drill a small hole in one end it doesn't have to be big enough for the ant to get in only to reach its mandible in to grab a bit of egg. Place the egg hole underneath/ on the top of the ants nest and give it time. You will have an egg fit to carve. I forget the number of layers of shell on an emu egg but they all are slightly different colour. It's an old art to carve a scene in an oval in the egg. I can't tell you anymore so please check the internet.
@@dandeliondreamshomestead5222 i feel so stuiped not to think about that. Any other pointers. The incbutor i have has rollers and turns egg ever 1 hour 30 mins. Or best to do by hand

I don’t stop turning until I hear whistling or I see the chick has broken through the outer shell. I never increase humidity )long term breeders will agree with me) but I don’t adjust it if the humidity increases on its own during hatch. I’ve seen people drown their chicks by increasing humidity to 60%

Thank you for treating the dead baby with gentleness.
We love all our emus, even the ones that don’t make it. My boys cried for days the first time a wiggly egg didn’t survive the hatch 😢

Oh wow this is sooo cool! Can’t wait to see if the one I have hatched! Thank you for sharing 😊
Good luck with your eggs. Will be looking forward to seeing the babies.

I didn’t see an embryo in the third one. I would expect to see a series of veins if an embryo had started.
Will having my incbutor at 36 percent humidity mess my emu eggs up bc i cant get it no lower
Nope’ that humidity level is perfect! If it does spike, try using a small jar of rice to help absorb the humidity

Да, родились еще 2 эму, другие еще в инкубаторе. Я обязательно посмотрю ваше видео.. ❤️😍
Они все умерли? Какая причина?
They were. The reason was either these weren’t fertile and never developed or because our thermometers were off and the incubator got too cold.
