Thank you for posting! I've always done this to see where the error was, if it was on my part or just infertility. People do the same with autopsies but animal rights activists see it as cruel. Hopefully you've learned from your mistakes and best of luck to you in the future!!!

Well I wasn't going to actually breed my emus, but after seeing that ... wow, super fun.

My emu hatched at about 7 hours ago. It just pooped and it’s dark green and watery. Is this normal for first poop or is something wrong.

If you want to clean an egg put it on an ants nest for a few days. This also works with a full egg. Drill a small hole in one end it doesn't have to be big enough for the ant to get in only to reach its mandible in to grab a bit of egg. Place the egg hole underneath/ on the top of the ants nest and give it time. You will have an egg fit to carve. I forget the number of layers of shell on an emu egg but they all are slightly different colour. It's an old art to carve a scene in an oval in the egg. I can't tell you anymore so please check the internet.
