Agree with everything you said .. I have an F90 M5 and love it .. had the issue of leaking expansion tank and it's wrecked 3 injectors which now need replacing all under warranty :).. other than that never misses a beat and best all round car I ever owned. Keep up the good work mate

Another point i agree on, is, in the M5 i feel exactly the same when in the car, really really happy, and that is difficult to describe on a video. If the M5 is a couple of ticks slower when tuned, who cares ?, when you are at this league of performance, its irrelevant .Loved the comment on getting in and out of the buckets, "bladdy orrible", made me laugh😂 . What are those Black Alloys on the M5 mate ? I have a 2019 M5 in sapphire black I love the car the only thing for me that lets it down are the Standard Alloy wheels on it .. just makes the car look like a 5 series saloon standard .. those back wheels on yours are banging where can I get a set ?? Having had the an f90, Tommy you tuned it when someone else owned it. Now have an m3. The m3 for me sounds better, handles better, drives better but not as comfortable. Also finally someone telling the truth,nether m3 buckets are a pain in the arse unless your tiny or don’t drive much. One thing, eventuri is a waste of money, fact is it gains nothing over other intakes. Tommy go dyno them
For performance, M3 is the better option. Space, luxury, and usability goes to the 5. Sound wise, they both fall short for me. The choice would be difficult if it was a 2020 M5 comp (iDrive7 or G80 style dash) vs a 2022 M3 comp (preferably with adaptive LEGs)
I’ve owned both recently. 19 M5C and 21 M4C. A couple things to add… The F90 transmission didn’t feel as sharp as the G82 transmission. Even with xhp stage 3 on the F90. The 2019 F90 was ready for tuning without taking the ECU out and shipping it to femto. Which meant I could make big power cheaply and easily. The F90 was fast, but pretty sterile, even on stage 2. It’s hard to argue that it doesn’t perform, but it’s like a video game. The G82 was better, but still pretty removed. During the couple of months I had the F90, I had the expansion tank go, LPFP go, and the rear differential start to bind. All easy fixes, but it was a bummer to have issues in such a short time of ownership. Granted, the car had 40k miles on it. The F90 with xdrive puts the power down no problem even on stage 2. The G80 RWD lost traction even on the stock tune. Which added a bit of excitement to the experience. In both cars, the ride is pretty stiff. Seemly unnecessarily stiff. In terms of performance (acceleration, braking, handling, etc) I felt like the cars were actually pretty even. I had the CCB on the F90. The problem with both cars is that you can’t really use it all on the street! If I had to pick one again, I’d choose the G8X in a heart beat, but would go with a 6sp manual the add some “feel” back into the car. Right now I’m driving an old 986 Porsche Boxster S and I’m loving it! Lots of feel and driver engagement for the money.
So what? GM ecotec 2.0l is in the 5’s last time i checked. What does that tell you? Want to break records? All you need is finances and the will to do so. That’s all it takes. There are far more people in the B58/S58 platform that are chasing records. That increases the size of the aftermarket, r&d, total finances in the platform, it’ll become more accessible, etc. Those records can easily be broken

If you're thinking of a G80 or F90 then you have no reason to think of any analogue car as they're nothing alike. Its like turning down a 992 turbo s for a 993 made 30 years prior...

8HP76 improved transmission instead of the 8HP75. But late 2020 pre-LCI also got the improved trans.

Xdrive is switchable for both these cars but they make the g80 rwd only also (ie it is not xdrive at all)
