I liked that you made Lilly's wardrobe and her room almost exclusively blue - it went very nicely with the autumn leaves of the forest. Really great sound design and cinematography. Well done.
I love how your worlds with super powers still feel real, but you don't have to make things overly dark and gritty to accomplish it.

I've been with ya since the first Lazer Collection. Nearly 10 years, I was around 8 years old! The progression in your film making is incredible. Thanks for sharing your ART with us.
What I liked so much about this is that every scene that we see, every noise we hear in the background, everything has a purpose. Nothing in this is by accident and I like that I can look at every shot and find why they matter. Besides that, the way everything is shot is just so pretty and the music perfectly complements the video. My only comment is that everything follows an outline. Let me explain: the opening intro to establish characters comes and then that section of the film ends. She decides she's going to learn how to fly, and then that scene ends and the (excuse the fact that I only know the French word) péripéties begin. She gets back home later and the sequence of events that follow are set up in a very typical movie finale. I didn't dislike this, so much as was very aware of it as the film went on. It's not a bad thing just something I noticed. Otherwise Dom, like always, this was a really great piece and I can't wait to see what you have in store next :)
The attention to detail to this is amazing. Everyone is saying about her running so well with a broken ankle but she trips just as she begins to fly.
You're definitely going places Dom. This is far better in quality and story than a lot of films and shows out there right now. As a long time fan I've seen your work get better and better and even more touching with each short film especially.

I didn't expect to watch the whole thing... But I did, and boy am I glad.
The cinematography was so great in this, Dom. I see this as a great starting point. The story felt a bit cliche and I am slightly disappointed in how everything played out. But from a technical standpoint this movie is quite incredible. I especially like how well you implement the musical score with the scenes.

The cinematography was some of the best I've seen in independent works. Your writing is fantastic, far better than anything I could have done. I think my favorite scene is how the flying is subtlety introduced by the tv program in the background and how it flips between that and her and her father. Very cool.

The depiction of abuse in this film is scarily true to life. I hope that's purely the skill of Dom, his actors, and his team and not due to personal experience.
Tbh this short film gets a 9.5/10 only reason why not a full 10 is because this will never happens to us and makes me sad but still great movie Dom you are the best Keep Moving Forward with this and we all know you can do great and amazing things

Brilliantly done, aside from how Amber was able to run to the woods, fly a bit, meet her brother at school, and then fly back home in the amount of time it took this guy to break into a house with a windowed front door. That was pretty hard to believe.
And once again, Dom is back again with another fantastic film! Seriously. Great short, dude. Totally worth the wait.

Hey Dom, I don't how many of these you read but if this gets to you then that'd be great. I've been a fan of yours ever since Billy Goat Caller and I honestly wouldn't be the creator I am today if it wasn't for your vids.You've really inspired and changed my way of making films and really anything creative in general. The amount of songs alone I've fallen in love with like Beginner's Luck from Kenny Bassender or Foxy Shazam from The End or even Mr. Hurricane and Devil from Danny Webster. I've watched you improve and change and grow and it really is something special. I compare anything I make or want to make to the films/shorts you put out and seeing this really upped the ante. I sat down with a cup of tea, full screened, and blasted audio like I always do with any of your films and this one felt like something that came out of a international film festival. I took a second mid-way through to think "crap this is something Dom made". Yeah, there were parts that I felt weren't the best and could be improved still but comparing it to your last short it was so much better, and I already thought your previous ones were great. I guess all I am trying to say is just keep doing what you're doing and keep following that inner drive, because it's definitely doing something good for the world. I've seen that it's been tough with UA-cam the past few years and I couldn't agree more, but I think that if you keep pushing towards that goal of making films/videos, good things will come from it. I'll still bear with ya.

It's been quite some time, I'm happy with how well the final product turned out!
Pretty noble for her to stay back and offer the help her father direly needed. I'm just a little bummed with the situation the character had to be in to live under such a frightening life style. It's really cool to see her independency though because you created a really great strong character for people to cheer on through the film.
All in all, I really love the theme you portrayed in this film. Hope you've got more films in mind for the future Dom! Can't get enough of your work and style!
