    What AV software and or method you use to prevent nasties when you plug in these rando customer units? Do you use replaceable VM images of your repair station? How do you stay safe is my basic question?

    Hakko might not be the ultimate in soldering equipment. But IMO it's a very good place to start, as its very decent and relatively speaking (as far as professional equipment goes), a lot of bang for buck. The large market share also makes availability strong and intruduces some price competition.
    JBC makes some amazing tools, but a lot of it can be *very* cost prohibitive when starting out.

      I totally agree with you. Not knocking hakko by any means.

      @@hddrecoveryservices A bit off topic, but got any tips on optics? Trying to improve the microscope setup after a neck and shoulder injury; trying to gain a bit of magnification on our trinocular amscope head without lowering the head towards the surface too much. Currently got WF10X/20 eyepieces in conjunctiom with a 0.5 barlow (and a 1x for fume, splatter/spray and dust protection). Got a 2X barlow but that makes the working space 30mm so not usable for work. Need to retain ideally at least a good 150 ish mm distance, but could use a bit more magnification. Because of the ongoing situation, money is a little tight so trying to avoid buying expensive optics that won't ever be used, because I failed to educate myself appropriately before buying.

    Erkin ,
    The Main Thing Is When You See Around And Find The Issue .In This Case I would not say it was easy ,Its easy because you demonstrated it ,It will not be easy at all for the user ,Are you using vnr these days more then flash extractor or FE is more used

    Hi Erkin, i see you're using last R-Studio version 8.13 build 176095.
    Have you noticed any havy bug as not capable to image drives or frequent crash when dealing with huge filesystems?
    I want back to v. 8.12

    • @hddrecoveryservices
      @hddrecoveryservices  4 роки тому +1

      I cant say I see bugs too much. For hard drives we use PC3K with data extractor. I use R-studio for NAND stuff mostly. And flash drives and memory cards usually have FAT

    А какие примерно расценки за подобного рода работы в Канаде?
    У нас по флешкам -- если только механика в районе 20-30$. Если вычитывать Data Extractor'ом, то чуть больше. Но у нас тут небольшой провинциальный городок, у людей не очень много денег и свою дату они ценят не очень высоко ). Но работа крайне интересная.

    darn what two loose connectors can do to a flash drive..........
    Remember when I ask you about my silent flash drive ( no name brand ) its not actually physical broken ....but I got a recovery program on the net for $60 and could actually recover the files....not the drive though ha ha.....not sure why it stopped responding in the first place......it was idle for a few month...laying in a protective leather fillofax, but somehow after that it didnt respond.
