Off = racing tautology commentators please note.
I don't think that this race proved much of a guide to any of the Classics, French or English, as they finished in a bunch.
No, of course it wouldn't prove much of a guide as the Prix Ganay is a 4yo+ race and the Classics, both English and French, are for 3 year olds...
Nice comeback by al rifa hopefully a good season ahead 👍
He doesn’t inform his listeners quite WHY it is a “turn-up”…
Welcome to French group 1’s.
Just like I’ve always said - French, Australian and USA group 1’s are UK listed/group 3 standard. Always have been and always will be!

French GR1's are some of the best in Europe Chav. Ask Ace Impact who won the ARC or Big Rock who won the QEII by 8 lengths.

@@Martin.Lewis.. So says the guy who invariably talks through the opposite end of his anatomy.
@@kurman4749 you keep trolling kid 👍
You'll get there one day...
@Martin.Lewis.. So you say, but essentially he is right? Sure, this particular race can always spring a surprise as it's the first group 1 of the year in Europe and it pitches race fit horses who are arguably of lesser quality against potential top performers who might need their 1st run of the season and use this as a useful prep race which also provides a chance to grab some decent prize money. And I won't argue about American (turf) group 1's and Australian group 1's, those seem to be of lesser quality indeed as usually UK or Irish horses mop those up when they go over. But in the European pattern, French group 1's are usually on a similar level to those in the UK and Ireland. Not only the Arc and other group 1's in Arc weekend, but also the Classics. And races such as the GP de Paris and the Jacques le Marois later in the summer often feature decent quality French horses alongside Irish and UK challengers...
