  • Everything left behind in this abandoned farmhouse. Explore #39 Ontario, Canada
I spotted this house years ago but never stopped and checked it out until today. The house is on a very busy road near a busy town so I’m very surprised the house is not vandalized. I chose not to film the full names and exterior of the house to help to avoid people recognizing the house and coming here to vandalize and steal.
Melville and Len were married for over 60 years. They were hard working farmers. Melville passed away in 2000 and her husband Len passed away a year later at the age of 89. All of their belongings have been sitting here ever since. The house is near new development so I’m assuming they will build new homes on this property one day.

    About me:
I have been exploring abandoned places since I was a child and now I would like to film the explores and share the videos with you.
My father took me to my first abandoned house when I was 7 years old. I remember going into the house and a old farmer came in and told us "we better watch out as the floors are all rotten and unsafe". Ever since that day I was hooked on exploring abandoned places.
If you have a location you would like to share with me or want me to explore for you please send me an email at abandonedurbexcanada@hotmail.com and I will give you full credit for the share in the description and during the video if you choose.

I love explorers like this guy, who won't post footage or shots of the outside of the house, if they think that it will make the property easy to identify, and then become a magnet for vandals - good work, and very ethical. Unfortunately, people DO watch these kinds of videos, and if they can work out where it is, they will go and steal things or just plain vandalize. There is a special place in Hell for vandals. Destruction with no sense of reason or logic, just destroying for the sake of destroying. Vandals make me sick.

Is it just me or does anyone else feel so sad seeing all the clothes hanging in the closet, as if if waiting for the owner's return, but never to be worn again. For me, these videos put life in perspective... It's not high you rise or how much you acquire in your lifetime but rather what positive mark you leave with others that ultimately become your legacy

so sad with all the pictures left. when my dad died and my mom moved out. I managed to take most of the pictures before they were thrown out. My mom had so much stuff! It was overwhelming to pack up / so much left behind. She had farm receipts from 50 years before when they were tenant farmers but it was interesting to look and find things like that. She had letters packed away from Dad that he wrote when he was in the war, a lot of good memories but no way could any one keep all the stuff left behind.

Those should mean something. Thanks for taking us with you. Don't worry about where you have a hard time going - it's more important to stay safe and in-tact!
In these places, most of them look like places where an older couple spent their final years. I often wonder when looking at the stuff left behind as to which partner was left alone at the end, as they rarely pass or leave at the same time.

Thanks for another excellent video! That mayo looked like a pickled brain haha. And that Diana sauce beside it brought back childhood memories of burnt meatballs lolol.

@@AbandonedUrbexCanada I think the son may have died in 2011. Age 68. I believe the owners were married in 1939. Correct?

What a interesting video. I'm a collector of 1970s to 90s tabloids and magazines, and memorbilia. So I enjoyed seeing the stuff of that nature left behind.

Same here....yes it’s gross, but does give such an odd, nostalgic feeling that I can’t pinpoint. Often it is things my mom had in her cupboards.

great explore,Brent and thanks for the information about the folks at the end of the video, like you said though it's still amazing that any family members that may be left wouldn't go there and collect all those pictures and things, unless its the same situation from a couple of past videos ,,where all the family members passed on,, also think they may have been hoarders a little bit i cant imagine someone collecting all that stuff, for the heck of it ,, be safe with all the virus stuff going around,, it's getting bad down here in New York State,,

Looks like their accumulation of a lifetime overwhelmed these folks in their old age. I so sympathize. Feeling that way lately about our farm. Egads it's work organizing and packing up stuff for a sale. From the looks of this house, that never happened here. House looked like your typical older frame style house, nothing much architecturally to speak of and remuddled with tacky paneling and carpeting. That looked like an old CB radio in the storage room/garage with the wringer washer in it. We did get rid of ours a while back. Thanks for the explore! Reminds me to keep plugging away at our mess before it ends up like this.

I really enjoyed this video. It was so interesting to see so many things. You would think that family would rescue the pictures and somethings that held sentimental value. You are very gentle with peoples things making sure you place them back where they were. Your videos are stories of people life’s. You can tell you are a man with a rest heart.❤️🙂
