I was thinking to do the Butter since I have Oro & it’s kinda similar to the Tan but at the end of your video you showed them lined up & the New Tan & the Oro are maybe different enough from each other? Which one would you recommend? I wear a lot of denim jeans & shorts. My style is mostly Free People & Levi’s. Thanks again love your videos keep um commin!
LOL. A pair of 8083s, Iron Ranger Hawthorne Leather, just arrived in the mail this morning. Don’t know what to think of the Hawthorne rough out leather, so far. I prefer smooth leathers, but figured I’d give these a try.
Yup, I love them. I recommend Pedag “Royal” leather insoles for all Red Wing Heritage boots. Very thin, made from padded calfskin. They are as thin as the wool insoles in my Sawmill boots. I wear size 13 Red Wing heritage boots. I order size 14 Pedag insoles, and they are an inch short of the toe. Made in Germany.
They are an obvious blue without being flashy or obnoxious. Looking foward to see how my wife's look after a yr+ of use. I agree with CJ... I wish they would make them in that color for men.

That tan boundary leather should patina nicely. Reminds me of British veg tan bridle leather. What do you think of those iron rangers with the wedge soles? No bueno for me. Too relaxed and sneakerish for an IR. It neuters their ruggedness. Too much overlap with the Rovers as well. Why won't they do a reverse non rough-out Muleskinner?? That's the real question. If you look inside those Muleskinners the leather looks great. A lot like Horween natural CXL.
@@CJCook Did not disappoint. Had no idea they existed either. Would be a great leather to use if they ever make a version of IR without a toe puff/structure. I'm dreamin here haha.
The nice thing about redwing is they look nice new and they look nice all used up
