This is perfect. I find that having this blended base helps me cut my cooking time in half. Also, I like to add more tatashe than tomatoes to my jollof. The result is always top notch. Well done Winnie.
Winnie I love you. You're a life saver. Anytym i'm watching any of your videos my kids will be like "mom's at it again". I've learnt so many new dishes from you. Thank you for uploading these videos. Stay blessed
Wow,thank you o I hv learnt new method today o, gonna teach my wife this new method... Nne thanks for teaching us this ur wonderful method, i appreciate. ❤
Ever since I discovered this method of boiling before blending it has been the way to go for me. Grilling them is also awesome, it gives it that smokiness especially for jollof rice.
@@miraclekenechiokafor9257 it's more of charring. Put in a grill pan or oven tray, dribble a bit of oil and put in the oven to brown and char a bit. Just like grilling chicken. The burnt (charred) parts give the smoky flavour.
This is so helpful. I’ve been used to blending and cooking afterwards and always tired of how long it takes to get this consistency. I’m definitely trying this next weekend! Thank you Winnie👍
I dear sister I have learned a lot from you on how to make green fry rice Nigeria salad and okoro soup without putting red oil or any and I said thanks for knowing you. From Cameroon.
I have learnt alot since following you on this journey. Given the environment I live, you hardly find our Naija delicacies here in the US. But I am learning to cook more of our foods through your tutelage. I showed my daughter the jollof spaghetti you prepared and she was really salivating 😂. Keep up the good work.
I've made this a few times now, delish!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Saved this on pinterest just as a reminder, only do this once a year when my crops ripen. But I make a lot then actually jar and hot bath can them. Plenty of acid in tomatoes. Adding a touch of cider vinegar doesn't hurt. Seems to hold up very well and will last a lot longer this way.
Thanks so much, this is a life saver... I used to cook my pepper mix after blending and everyone will be sneezing up n down. It's always a messy one every week
Wow so nice and nearly preparation on how to use blender to blend stew, have find it difficult for my self until I watch this video thanks for the tutorial we learn everyday every time
Hi Zee, learnt a new one today. I like blending tatashe, onions and tomatoes together then boiling. I don't allow to boil too long. I noticed you were scooping out water from the tomatoes, I think that's the nutrients being thrown away.
Thanks for this Winnie. I normally store fresh tomatoes in the freezer because it’s very expensive during winter, so I buy many boxes and store them so they become frozen. My question is how do I prepare my tomato pepper base with frozen tomatoes since I can’t boil them because when it melts, it is very soft. Please l will like you to tell me how to use it to prepare a good tomato pepper base.
You are just so amazing. Thanks for this, for saving me from spending so much time in the kitchen trying to decant water from tomatoes by blending before boiling.
I wonder why anyone will dislike this video. After all she is giving us her tips that she could have kept to herself 🤷♀️. Thanks Winnie
