Gem Archer is one of the most underrated guitarists of all time. I know he's rhythm guitar in this song but in other songs where he plays lead he's so good. Just chilled out, knows his shit on the guitar and only messes up rarely
Of all time ffs man?, Have a lie down, beck, clapton, Mick Taylor, Keith Richards, Jimmy Page, Townshend and Jimi Fkn Hendrix?, and you're of the opinion that he's a place amongst them, the band that he's fortunate enough to be in places mid table amongst all
Is this the best song ever written sung by one of the best singers to come out of this country. Saw Oasis at Bridlington Spa last year, their truly last concert as Oasis.
i can't believe how amazing liam sounds in this. i've seen so many live youtube concerts of him where he sounds rushed and out of breath. he's brilliant in this though!
Endstation he had a great and an amazing voice till 2004 for me, after that, he was crap almost all time. Seeing their concerts between 2005-2009 make me cry all time but since 1994 till 2004 he could keep his great voice.
He wasn't crap after 2004/5, Noel turned up his guitar to such a degree LG kept blowing his voice trying to be heard over it.Hence he seemed breathless
I don't say people should listen this because their music is shite. They should listen this song because it is something I haven't found in no other song. It makes me calm when things are going too fast and makes me try harder when they're too slow. So raw and yet one of the most beautiful and clear tunes I've ever heard.
he's more nasal now, but his stamina is back and he can finish the words again instead of snarling out half of them and then dashing away from the mic bloody great tho
I haven't had the chance to actually see Liam live, but from what I've seen off youtube, I think whatever the first 2 or 3 songs are, he signs are usually really good, and the last one he sings, he seems to be trying to shout more than anything, sometimes it really works, sometimes it doesn't, but for me all their songs are old classics, as I wasn't really part of the oasis generation in the 90's and I wasn't as interested in music as I am now when their later stuff came out
@punkrockenpunk Looks like he tried to lob his tambourine in the air to catch it again but one of the little cymbal spokes smacked off his hand as he chucked it.
they are just fucking brilliant live! when i went to their concert i almost died of excitement lol... i mean liam vocals where fucking brilliant and noels too! it was overall mindblowing!
Liam is the best singer in a rock band, no one can argue that! He is a born leader. Noel is one of the best musicians that may have been born! F*CK YEAAAAAAAAAH ;)
It should be illegal to fucking rule this much. There's no point in listening to the album version of this song after hearing this. The harmonizing on "the day's moving just to fast for me" rocks all shit that is holy.
@ConorCoughlanMusic its easy for example i have a boss space echo(noel used one in the early days) you just put the intenity knob to max and then you like azian196 said you play with the delay time
Nooooooo there admiring, not standing.... They dont need to jump up and down and clap to make Oasis great.....Oasis make themselves great, always have....always will!
I saw them here in Gothenburg and Liams voice was definitely NOT back.....not when he was here at least. A real shame, Ive seen em 4 times now and this tour was the worst, just hope they were having an off day here....
he's just so over hated in my opinion i mean from like 2002 onwards it wasn't but his voice is still great it was only shite in 2008-2009 because he was sick of oasis, with beady eye his voice has been great
liam is cool no matter what anyone says ...hes got swagger and will go down in music history as a legend
Problem is, he's a dick head who should have stuck to nicking mountain bikes.
Gem Archer is one of the most underrated guitarists of all time. I know he's rhythm guitar in this song but in other songs where he plays lead he's so good. Just chilled out, knows his shit on the guitar and only messes up rarely
He switches between actually.
I love his style, his composure
Of all time ffs man?, Have a lie down, beck, clapton, Mick Taylor, Keith Richards, Jimmy Page, Townshend and Jimi Fkn Hendrix?, and you're of the opinion that he's a place amongst them, the band that he's fortunate enough to be in places mid table amongst all
@@ferm8103 this was 5 years ago man. Can't even remember writing this.
This is probably the best version of R'n'R Star. I love how 'loud' the keyboard are in the mix.
Yeah. His voice was best 95-96 and then it had a good sound in early 2000. Here!
mindblowing vocals
John Lennon meets Johnny Rotten
@@georgiethumbs2438 well that is who he admittedly copied from so it makes sense.......
Sounding great and looking great, one of the oasis best times
the jools performance is one of the best wow, they shoulda put this on familiar to millions
sonSHEEEYINNNNE!!!!
That track always lift me in low days/peroids, the high energy and coolnees this song brings to the table are just unbeliavable.
Is this the best song ever written sung by one of the best singers to come out of this country.

one of the greatest bands of all time
You just CAN'T help but sing along with this peice of Genius
i can't believe how amazing liam sounds in this. i've seen so many live youtube concerts of him where he sounds rushed and out of breath. he's brilliant in this though!
gorlan100 He lost his voice around 2002. In the 90s he sounded absolutely amazing live.

Great harmonies from noel
Amazing and I still feel blessed I was around to appreciate those days when oasis did there thing
Powerful , meaningfull and classy that what a band needs
i love Liam, he s looks amazing at this concert :D
Just imagine if Liam came back singing like this.
biblical
he's more nasal now, but his stamina is back and he can finish the words again instead of snarling out half of them and then dashing away from the mic
bloody great tho
ahe Dries de ceuster you are right
never
He did
When I watch these old songs back I keep expecting Liam to not sing them so well, strange.
ohh that vocals are just amazing
What a great performance!!!
never seen them in concert and probably will never see them as Oasis, is as rock n roll I am I will love them forever and ever.
First black guy I have seen liking oasis
Dominic MCR Racist remark, but sadly true...
Hahah
I know
Thats like saying "First jewish man I've seen not take someone's money"
man this is a great timeless tune!
Liam looks pretty cool with that glasses and with his cool hair
Best version
Liam is a legend! Biblical Godlike Genius!💃❤️

I saw him at Glastonbury he was amazing
Liam Lennon!!
Is this one of the best songs ever written period?
@punkrockenpunk Looks like he tried to lob his tambourine in the air to catch it again but one of the little cymbal spokes smacked off his hand as he chucked it.
excellent sound, guys!
they are just fucking brilliant live! when i went to their concert i almost died of excitement lol... i mean liam vocals where fucking brilliant and noels too! it was overall mindblowing!
mint performance
What sunglasses is Liam wearing. I want to buy a pair.
@Shokrebm
The man loves his rock n' roll. You can't argue with that.
Liam is the best singer in a rock band, no one can argue that! He is a born leader. Noel is one of the best musicians that may have been born!
F*CK YEAAAAAAAAAH ;)
if youve seen videos of their current tour, his voice is back :)
Good but not anything like this...brilliant ...sunnnshhhiiinnneee
ECCELLENTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
I like it live.
Liam = best rock star of the 90s
It should be illegal to fucking rule this much. There's no point in listening to the album version of this song after hearing this.

One of the last time he said the classic sunshyiiiiine! 😢
Liam sounds f****** brilliant here!
the closest I've ever been to an Oasis gig was when I saw the High Flying Birds live a few years back, but I love both Beady Eye and NGHFB
His voice is much better then than it is now. How old is this?
this remembers me some Queen song I can't remember now
The electronic breakdown at the end is pure Velvet Underground - White Light, White Heat album (sister ray)
@Shokrebm i saw that too..i think he cried she really feel the emotion of their song..probably it's about their personal experience that's why...
半袖のノエルカッコいい
@ConorCoughlanMusic its easy
for example i have a boss space echo(noel used one in the early days) you just put the intenity knob to max and then you like azian196 said you play with the delay time
...and on lead vocals: John Lennon
Sang this well because he didn't shout like at big gigs, where he wanted to project his voice more.
@atavener 10 years.
Absolutely dude. U are fuckin right.
but still gotta love liam fuckin gallagher.
id love to know how he does all that stuff at the end with his effects!
@ConorCoughlanMusic i think hes self oscillating his delay pedal then playing around with the delay time knob
@LGKemp hahaha perfect answer
V festival was their last ever gig
T____T i love Oasis
4:39 liam is a LION !
I think he's definitely sweating. I would have been surprised to see liam crying... ;)
Did you watch this video.
@nobcheesy Liam never cry my friend.
It's the ghost of John Lennon
Nooooooo there admiring, not standing....
They dont need to jump up and down and clap to make Oasis great.....Oasis make themselves great, always have....always will!
I've just lined up 3 versions of this, one with Tony McCarroll, one with Alan White, and one with Zac Starkey. Starkey's the best drummer they had.
Learnt Uncle Keith's tricks!
Nah he was too slow for most of the songs. Chris Sharrock was the best.
u need to watch rock n roll star then live in brussells 2000 if u think that man alan white were the best by far👍
Paul melling I'd already changed my mind...White was definitely the best.
Alan White was the best
Not being funny, but Liam crying, really guys? Do you know him at all! XD
he had cramp at the time,in his neck, as usual.i`ve been to gig`s for year`s. judge live v` plastic`.
this fucking voice
What year is this?
it is , well... at least is better than the previous tour.
sweat from the eye? ;)
Lennon is Live?
@Zagara2007 i thought he was just faking in that interview?
@noseointment axl rose!
Back in the day when Liam could actually sing. Awesome.
Pure raw power. He still has the odd good day and is way better than what he was 2005-2014
He should sing it this way today. Slowing it down would sound so much better than the super fast version that he tries to do these days.
which year it was?
it's 2000
@Shokrebm fuck yeah
00:56 got it
@fxsaberboy The kind that John Lennon used to wear.
Are the crowd dead ?
00:56
hahaha definitely true
@Shokrebm Nah it's just sweat.
wembley was at the end of their Familiar To Millions tour so his voice was pretty strained after it all...
Keyboards are a bit strong in the mix but yeah great performance
I actually like that about this version
Noel was in no way above Liam at this point in time... that happened around 2004 first.
I think he is sweating, but the drops stem from his eyes...
@atavener 2000
Called sweat mate
asi un poco mas lenta tiene un toke de potencia brutal
I saw them here in Gothenburg and Liams voice was definitely NOT back.....not when he was here at least. A real shame, Ive seen em 4 times now and this tour was the worst, just hope they were having an off day here....
You are Robbie Williams, and I claim my £10.
he's just so over hated in my opinion i mean from like 2002 onwards it wasn't but his voice is still great it was only shite in 2008-2009 because he was sick of oasis, with beady eye his voice has been great
why is everyone just stood there??
I came
he's sweating
i think its sweat coming down from his head
crowd could at least move or something. look like the dragons den panel watching a cliff richard gig.
They did their best stuff with Tony on drums,simple & he would hit the snare fucking hard
Lol - you're an idiot. Such a simple idiot. Fuck off, you moron.
