Most people never played the Wrathion questline in Cata (rogues only), so it's awesome to see his story compiled here. I'm excited to see the rest of the series!

Not bashing any of your old stuff, but this is my favorite thing I've seen from you in a while. The in-game representations really help make it even more immersive, and it's well written. Hope to see some more stuff like this!!!!!
I have to say that this was a masterpiece of lore media. I myself am no native speaker and struggle with plain explanations in most lore vids, but this was SO EASY to understand thanks to the use of those effort-rich scenes you made. Thumbs up - I'm hyped to see more of those !
Wrathion and Anduin are my two favorites in the game. I play for the lore, the other stuff is just exploring that lore. You have a great way of telling these stories, it's amazing to listen to that whole thing put together. Thank you!
He also saved Ebonhorn from corruption, which should not be an understated achievement. That being said. There is also a third Black Dragon Faction. The Endbringers / Worldbringers, who for some reason still believe Deathwing to be alive, or that he will return somehow.
So good to have his story explained like this rather than in pieces throughout the game. I find him to be a fascinating character. To show how fractured my knowledge is of him, I remember seeing Rhea and the egg back in the day...was this a quest? Don't remember but I do remember some sort of tragedy. That's Wrathion! Good work putting this together!
If I recall, Rhea dies in defense of Wration's egg when Deathwing finds them. The end of the quest provides a on use trinket that summons a whelp? or something like that.

Fantastic lore walkthrough! I’ve been playing the game for 15 years or so but have never gone for the loremaster achievement. Working on it last week in the badlands and I did Rhea’s questions. Very cool to see it so pivotal here! Can’t wait to see more!!

Thank you to everyone at Bellular! This type of content is what makes me continue love reading about and keeping up with Warcraft. As a player who comes and goes in WoW since late TBC, this type of content helps me understand more of what's happened in the game over the years. Admittedly I do at times, especially during leveling, try to power through the quests and consequently end up missing some story lines. The dragons have always been one of my favorite races in the game and in the lore. These videos help me peace everything together between playing the game and the books. Keep up the great work.

Wish Wrathion was more involved in the main quest lines, I remember him very well from MoP, but the next time I encountered him was literally in Shadowlands
This is so cool! wrathion is one of my favourite charactors. ive been saying since MoP when he was searching for the isles that he will play a big part one day and now the dragon isles are found his time has come. i cant wait for this to unfold

This was so helpful! Recaps like this are so good, I feel I forget quite a few details, after all this is going back years. I am so looking forward to all the lore Dragonflight will give us, I simply can't wait to see how it will all pan out
I will always support Wrathion in any way I can. He's young, yes, but he's learned so much and been proactive in the fate of his flight and, in many ways, is more powerful than his father, even. He just needs to grow into the size of his heart.
That's the thing. We _know_ that Wrathion stands with Azeroth for good or bad. And with time he will grow out of his worst traits.
Sabellion is mostly unknown to us, besides what we saw on Outland & the fact that he was a leader in Deathwing's evil schemes.
Sabellion may be older & wiser, but time fixes that... what time does not fix is his latent corruption & the fact that he does not have a history of standing for Azeroth.

You missed out Ebyssisn in the spoilery talk. He's also uncorrupted and strangely after the Dracthyr starting zone he wasnt at the waking shores. I would say, that he could be the best choice for the new black aspect.
Literally only looked this up because Rhea's quest in cataclysm was so impactful and emotional for me, that I, to this day, as I write this comment, still have Rhea's Last Egg in my inventory. I never wanted to sell it after the quest and to this day, lore be damned, I'm Wrathion's stepdad XD

I'd really like to see a dialog option with a Wrathion for rogues who did the quest telling him he seems to have missed a spot. If he wants to upgrade my daggers to current content I'd shiv Sabellian to.
Incredible video Bellular and team. The dragon aspects were always the most interesting to me. As death wing was the coolest boss I ever dealt with since black wing lair raid.

Only time will tell if Sabellion will win our hearts, as we barely know anything about him, except this lore. Wrathion does show a lot of potential, but he's still relatively young, even for human standards 😅, human males don't have a fully developed frontal lobe until around age 25-30, who knows what it's like in draconic neuropsychology when dragons are known to live waaaaay longer than a mere mortal human
Loved it! I really enjoy listening to Nobbel as well; however, he can go on looong tangents before getting back on track. This was succinct in its details and info.
The end result is, indeed, cool!

This seems to be a perfect story to launch Blizzard cinematic universe. It kinda reminds me of the Andor series where the tempto can be slowed down and captivating magic can happen within dialogues.

Wrathion is kinda "chaotic good" in Baldur's Gate alignment understanding similarly to Yrell. Very prone to different kind of madness than the one that the Old Gods can infect with.

I love this. I wish you were able to do full time lore videos. No disrespect to Nobel, but I have a hard time with his accent. I don't think I'm the only one. Having an alternative lore source would be fantastic.
Ebyssian should lead, Wrathion should be the 2nd so he can take over when he's finished growing up and has the knowledge and power, and Sabellian should be the General since he has the combat experience but has questionable sanity. It would put them all in charge at different levels, but since Ebyssian has experience taking care of a whole race as a guardian and holds no ambitions to rule (nor does he have a stain on his record) and desires no war with the mortal races, my vote goes to him.
This was outstanding! job well done to the team i do hope there will be more to come.
When they introduced Wrathion in Mists of Pandaria, I was so stoked to see what this character could become.
Except I found it mind-boggling that Wrathion foreshadows and warns us of the Legion invading yet isn't present at all in the Legion expansion-- with only the devs stating he was out traveling.
Surely I can't be the only one that felt this way?

I did not know that there were any black dragons in Outland still alive. All of those pierced on the spikes of Blade Edge Mountains looked very dead. And the Shadowmoon ones transformed into Netherdrakes. I thought that the story was that all black dragons in Outland transformed to Netherdrakes.
If black dragons indeed survived and if they are still corrupted, it's a huge risk not just letting them back on Azeroth, but letting them restore black dragonflight and have one of them becoming an aspect. If any Old God returned, the same thing from the War of the Ancients 10000 years ago will happen again.
That WAS the story lol. You cant really count on BC lore not having been retconned all to hell at this point. The Black dragonflight should never hold tangible power on Azeroth, you would think every living race would know this by now. Honestly Azeroth never seems to learn from each expansion.
I often smoke in bed before sleeping (which is bad) and the red ashes at 2:07 made me scream thinking I burned something
