Wow! I saw a card on a blog today, the lady said search for Magic Rain Shaker Card, yours was the first to come up - perfect! A wonderfully explained tutorial, so easy to follow. I have never seen this kind of card before, so inspiring. Thank you.
Thank you very much! It was nice of her to mention my tutorial since I came up with this type of card many months ago. 😁 My Favorite Things recently made a die set called "Falling from the Clouds" which makes it so much easier to create a magical rain shaker card. 🙂
Laura, this tutorial was PERFECT! Thank you for doing a demonstration with the black thread, so that we could see what you were doing! It made it super clear. I’m so excited to try making a card like this!
Thanks, Nana! I actually helped to design a die set for the company My Favorite Things which makes it easier to create this type of card: ua-cam.com/video/9ex8uJxnb5I/v-deo.html. Unfortunately they no longer sell it. 😁
Woe!!!!! Wonderful idea, and a beautiful card, just love everything about it, the puddle, bird, beads, coloring, clouds strands. Just everything - so creative splendid. TFS. Guess I'm gonna add seed beads to my stash.
This is just fabulpous and thanks so much for showing how you did it. Keep up with tutorials. I learn something new every time i sit in front of UA-cam and card making videos!!!!
Incredible cute❣️ Like all the cards you’ve made. I love all s❤️❤️❤️❤️ much. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. After every video I’ve got a smile on my face. Lovely greetings Sigi
Aaaaw, thank you so much for your sweet and generous comment, Sigi! I really need to upload some new tutorials to my own channel! I do have a bunch of them on the MFT Channel though: ua-cam.com/play/PL5zrte4Fteqbq-3AKswxgxUa_IgZATKbG.html&si=bRSAPkI8u581ozj6 😁
Oh my stars!! Thank is so cool!! Such an amazing tutorial and breath takingly beautiful. I'm just awestruck. 😮😮😮. Thank you so much for sharing with us. 😍😘
You are so creative and talented, Laura. I can’t believe I missed this tutorial in my feed when you first posted it! Can’t wait to try something like this for my Christmas cards! TFS 💕
Thank you so much! I think besides subscribing, which you've already done (thanks! 😄) you need to click on the bell so that you get notifications to your feed. 😘
That was the first thing I checked. That bell is clanging! I think I might need to cancel notifications for other You Tubers that I’m not as interested in so my feed doesn’t get too bogged down and I inadvertently miss you...or check it more frequently. We can all use more Social Media time, right? 😉
You are amazing! I intend to make two interactive story books for my grandsons this year and I intend to incorporate several of your wonderful ideas! I’m shooting for completion by Christmas 2019, so please keep these ideas coming. 🥰
I enjoyed all of your tutorial videos 😍 my eyes are always glowing and excited to do it 😍😍😍 Thanks for sharing your ideas, you inspired me a lot ❤ More videos to come😘 ❤
HI Laura, as soon as I saw the sneak peak of your card before you'd uploaded this video I was blown away by your creativity and I rushed out and bought some seed beds to replicate your card. Brilliant! I just love your creative and interactive cards.mi look forward to seeing your next masterpiece ❤❤❤
Thats sooo awesome! And thank you that you did that affort to show the mechanism also with black twine and colored pearls 😍😍 your cards is really mindblowing!
Absolutely GENIUS!! Thank you so much for taking the time to show us how to make this card, I truly appreciate your time and talent!! Huge crafty hugs!
That's amazing, Laura! I've never seen something like this and now I really want to give it a try! It's beautiful! And your tutorial is so neat and easy to understand, thanks a lot for sharing :)
Gracias guapi! La verdad es que me sorprendí gratamente cuando hice el prototipo con un par de hilos... 😅 Me encanta que hayas visto el tutorial en inglés! 😘😘😘
I found it easier to tie a knot in one end, thread the beads, then tie off the other end to keep them from all falling off. I made sure the thread was longer than needed.

Sounds good, thanks for sharing! 👍😁😘

Well, that was just too easy - thank you!!
Sorry, I meant for the ground panel! 😁

I love all your cards. Do you have any thoughts on mailing this card, so that all the beads stay at the top during mailing?
Ooops, I totally missed this comment. Thank you very much, Jane. I probably wouldn't mail this kind of card, but if you do, you could maybe write " Tip the envelope to the left (or however you place it) before opening". And even though the beads would be visible when opened, it's still a fun shaker card to play with. ;)
Beautiful!
Thank you! ☺️
This is amazing
Thank you so much! 😄
Love it, TFS
Thank you! 😁
the card is absolutely fantastic, but I was going to create it and Looking at the meadsures I think they are totally incorrect. Take the blue panel for example. It could not be 7cm shorter than the card base. Looking at your video I see it could be about 1cm shorter. Then I have cutted the strip to make the clouds and 3cm is much shorter than the cloud that I see in your tutorial (or maybe when you write at its most narrow spot you mean not the narrow spot of the clouds - taht should be about 5cm - but the lateral height?). Could you please check the measures? Might you have made some errors? Thank you!
Hi Martina! Thank you very much. 🙂 I've checked theeasurements several times and they should be correct. Keep in mind that when measurements are given, the first number is the width and the second number is the height. The blue panel is 10,5cm wide and the height is 16cm (1cm less than the height of the cardbase). The cloud panel is 10,7cm wide and the height (at it's most narrow point is 3cm). The ground panel is also 10,7cm wide and 3,6cm tall. You just have to make sure that it's tall enough to hide the beads... I'm sorry about the lost paper... maybe I should add the words width and height to avoid misunderstandings... 😁
p.s. I got it!!! The size of the base panel is 2x 11,4 = 22,8..It is the widt of the panel before you fold it!!!
Exactly! 😅 I will try to explain these things better next time and not take them for granted. 😬😘
@@Laura_Dovalo thank you!!! 😍
cool idea!
Thank you very much, Barb! :)
Wow! Love this! I will definitely be trying this. A thread which would work well, is clear and very strong is lingerie thread. And it is fine enough that the beads should move freely. I found you on Instagram through @michelle.bala and found her through @tessareedesigns. Thanks for the tutorial! ❤️
Hi Linda! Thank you very much for the tip and for letting me know how you found me. 😁😄
