Hey Dog: I love these old Gravely vids. I only have a 91 Craftsman II with a 40" early model Berco snowblower. But she works great here in Calgary. Almost bot a Case 446 - with single stage snowblower. I passed unfortunately, but yard space is limited so watching you with your multiple units (one for each day of the week) has me living vicariously thru your vids. BTW, this past winter's "cold Start" for me was -31deg. C. My 14 hp twin Vanguard engine fires right up with a shot of prime and a 600 CCA battery. Keep 'em coming brother.
I was thinking the same about the connection on the tank sucking air into the system. It's nice to hear this tractor run! I like my B43 Onan, but I'd love to have a Magnum twin.
Those tins where they are bolted to those aluminum heads are ALWAYS breaking when you try to remove them. On my Kohler Magnum M18S that I'm working on right now, 3 out of the 4 bolts on the top side of the heads broke off. It's hard to find used heads that DON'T have broken bolts like those. I wound up drilling out the bolts, then re-tapping them (1/4-20 threads). Gotta use anti-seize when you re-install, to avoid the same problems, 2 years from now, if you gotta pull them again. LOVE the videos on the old Gravely 4-wheelers. While the engine is pulled, I'll be putting in a new fuel pump, new coil, and rebuilding the carb, before I put it back in. Don't know yet what the problem inside is (suspect cam gear or governor gear), but I've been waiting to see how your 18G work progressed.
That engine does not appear to be the 20HP M18S Kohler. Looks like the 18HP version, as the tins over the cylinders are flat, not humped, as the 20HP has taller stroke engine, and jugs are taller.

Hey, not sure why you think it’s a 20HP, the title of the video says 18hp?
Where do you get a Chinese rebuild kit? (I have a John Deere with a KT17 Kohler with a similar pump)
Type m18 or kt17 fuel pump rebuild kit in the eBay search
