- MIDWEST MF'n MAYHEM 3!! When we say Chicago INC puts on a show... THEY PUT ON A SHOW!! Everything from FLAWLESS OG maintained to LS swapped daily driven bubbles was in attendance. If you needed any motivation to get started or complete your build THIS IS IT!! Even a few of Chicago's well known and respected G Body kings came out to show love. If you have a 91-96 B-Body (Caprice, Impala, Roadmaster or D-Body Fleetwood) look for a chapter in your region and network with some GOOD PEOPLE.

Some amazing cars ! and obviously a lot of knowledge about Impalas. So question. I have had my 1996 Impala SS from new for 40,000 miles. It's my baby. Only have K&N, Hypertech pro, shift kit and cat backs. So what engine swap or mods to the LT1 would get me about 450hp? Supercharge or turbo the existing LT1, 383 stroker, or what? All suggestions would be appreciated, but I can't spend a huge amount, but I need more power !! thank you.
A power adder is gonna be your best bet. I had a 96 with a 383 and all the internals and it did around 400 hp.

20:33 is why I had to quit going to these meets. It's one thing to do a burn out but guys blasting through a row of cars like that. Some real dumb shit. I've seen too many a car lose control and side swipe other people's hard earned money. The insurance companies don't put out shit for these cars and it's sad when someone's hard work and beautiful paint gets messed up because some idiot. Honestly the same shit goes for burnouts too....they shouldn't be done with cars that close. There's gonna be that one guy who can't control it.

Some Chevy guys may have both the Caprice and Impala. One of my uncle's has both, and the other had two of each.
I've got a 96 with 25k miles.. lingenfeiter 383 stroker with Paxton supercharger ..borla exhaust...lowered with eibach ..bad ass always garage kept for sale. 30k....if anyone interested..
