Linda singing this makes me smile. We were in Spanish class together. The teacher was Mrs. Arvanetes, 10th grade at Teaneck (NJ) High School. We were in the class of ‘63. We didn’t do all that well in Spanish, if I recall correctly. But Linda had an excuse since she was a big star by then.

I don’t think Linda would mind if I tell this brief story. For whatever reason her handlers must have made her change her last name from Sampson, a fine name, to Scott. Unknown to her at the time, I’m sure, was that there was another Linda Scott in our Teaneck High School class of ‘63. We had a huge class with over 600 members, fed from two junior high schools. The other Linda was Black, which made it all the more fun. I’m sure they eventually worked it all out between themselves. We all thought it was a hoot. Those were the days.
Linda was in a sorority at school and had lots of friends. She was a regular gal. Very sweet.

My favourite version of this beautiful song was from from a guy called Jerry Vale - in the late 50's -60's, may I add this is a lovely version - thank you for sharing.

Linda has always been a delight and a sweet treat for the ear and the eye. Hutch Davie was a common fixture on many of her songs for Canadian-American and Congress records. His arrangements and choice of instrumentation gave the music a unique flavour. She was poised to have another major hit early in 1964 with ''Who's Been Sleeping in My Bed'' when that musical tsunami spearheaded by the Beatles and known as the British Invasion changed things a bit. jtk🍁Canada

I actually meant to post this on my current channel, MaltShopPopsicle (that's where I've been). It's all pop music from the 1960's. I posted it here by mistake but decided it fit in well with this channel anyway. Always nice to hear from you though!

Well, I haven't heard from yu in ages, under any of your names. Good to hear another of your hgih-quality recordings again. I can't swear to this, but I think Jim Reeves might have done aversion of this as well. This girl had a sweet voice.

This is Linda Scott. She had a couple of Pop hits in 1961, the biggest being, "I've Told Every Little Star."
