What do you make of Air India? Will TATA ever be able to turn around the airline? Let me know in the comments.
nope
never ever under TATA . i am a Platinum member with AI for few years and living in Thailand . i have only seen the airline going down the hill in everything .. be it the soft product or the hard product . i have written to campbell wilson many times and even managed to get a response . but no change on the ground . he promised me to fix the meal quality which i guess is the easiest thing to do . yet it sucks so bad .. the only reason i fly is the star alliance connection .. overall very sad and i dread to fly them every time .. but no other option for me
I did a recent flight from Melbourne to New Delhi. It felt like I was in a nightmare simulator. No in flight entertainment obviously. The hospitality was okay. Food was okay. The immigration at New Delhi made me feel unwelcomed. It's just chaos imo.
They'll probably pull a Qatar before they fix things.
after watching this, glad i don't have to use the airline and pleased we have emirates.
"I'm proudly banned from Qatar Airways" is hilarious 😭
@greta_k 🤣🤣
Probably a good thing given their horrific safety record and complaints about literally everything from raw chicken served for first class meals to human excrement on the floors. But apparently the shitty floors are OK according to management because "it's dried on and won't get on your shoes"......
@@michealrossiter148 they don't have a horrendous safety record...
he should also state that he is banned from US as well :)
@Matrixu he said in some video (not long ago) but yeah he doesn't say it just like he says about Qatar or any other
I’m also a wheelchair guy, and I hate being the annoyance for the ground and crabin crew. I even managed to disrupt BA at LHR because the assistance team didn’t show up for 40 minutes after everyone else deplaned. My wife allways tells me that it is not my fault, but still, I feel ashamed for inconviniencing so many people.
I know the feeling well myself. But, you’re not an annoyance. All of us are glad you’re able to travel! We are all in this together.
It's never your fault, if the airline doesn't make their proper accommodations, they're the ones in the wrong
It’s only your fault if you are in a wheelchair because of obesity 😂
All jokes aside, that’s not on you it’s on the airline. You paid like everyone else.
You should very well be inconveniencing people.
This will put pressure on management eventually.
And it is your very right to have these services provided.
You should stand your ground, and I am sure you have a lot of people on your side (apaet from those who are responsible for not providing the services you were meant to reveive).
You’re NEVER an issue. There but for the grace of god go I … we should all show empathy, understanding and accommodation to our fellow travelers in need of a little help. Safe travels my friend! ❤❤❤
In general, there’s no accountability in India.
If you are big and powerful, and have connections, you are not accountable to anyone.
hence why they behave the way they behave in countries like Canada, USA and Australia! got it.

He is not that much really.
For a lot of Indians, any criticism of their country or Indian companies is considered racism or 'India bashing'. They think calling out bad behaviour by one of their airlines is the same as calling them as a nation inferior. India will never change whilst that attitude continues.
Trying too hard? I see most Indians agreeing that the airline has a way to go. Why are you trying to invent a problem that isn't there? Brownie points mil gaya?

As an Indian having travelled to and fro between multiple airlines and collecting all my experiences, I can conclude that Air India is inconsistent with their crew and ground services since I have experienced both hell and heaven in the same airline multiple times................Glad you covered this, chances are that this video will reach the management or atleast spark a discussion within the top dawgs.

The management of Air India couldn’t care less. Look at TCS, another mess from the Tata group. Maybe there are many more, but it’s simply a waste of time discussing them.

Josh, looks like nothing has changed for decades since I was a travel consultant. When people came to me and wanted to book a flight on Air India because it was so cheap, I would always tell them not to do it and suggested a slightly higher priced flight on another carrier. All of my customers who insisted on taking Air India always came back to me and said - we should have listened to you.

I’ve completely given up on Air India after my recent trip from Pune to Melbourne and will never fly with them again. Yet again, I experienced last-minute gate changes, and to make matters worse, they attempted to downgrade us from Business Class to Economy, claiming the seat was non-operational. After pushing back as we had medical issue, we discovered the seats were perfectly fine-they were just being reserved for airline staff.
I understand that upgrading aircraft and infrastructure takes time, but these basic operational issues are entirely fixable. Even after three years, Air India still runs like a typical government airline.
Thank you for bringing this to attention. I hope people notice this and demand better service
Yes. Criticism is important for change. And that is why people point these things out. Not because they hate Air India or the whole Sub-continent. They want it to do better, and to succeed and so the citizens can be proud of doing good work.
Sadly, I see attacks here from folk that just don't want to change. They want the Airline and country to fall behind with their foolish pride! Maybe they don't know they are doing something wrong. Now they can look at the industry standard and make changes.
That is the sole purpose Josh does this. It makes for a better flying experience for all of us. I always find flying stressful, you are at the mercy of the Airline at its crew. Most of my flights have been a long duration which is very tiring. And to have a bad experience could destroy your whole vacation. And it is not like they people are flying for free! They are paying good money to fly. For international flights some have to save a lot to buy those tickets. No matter how big Air India is, there is no excuse to improve in 2 long years!! From the very beginning, the customer's first impression of the Airline, it is chaotic and the crew lack enthusiasm to meet and greet you as someone who chosen to give their money to, that ultimately pays their salaries. Sad. 😢
Thank you for valuing Josh's work. It makes for a better travel experience for all of us!
My recent travel experience with AI was really bad. First, it began at the check-in counter in Lucknow. I told them I wanted to upgrade my seat to Business in the Delhi to Kolkata sector with my upgrade voucher. But they said they couldn’t do it from LKO and that I should contact the transfer desk in Delhi. I told them that the layover was short and it would be difficult. But still, they didn’t do it. I reached the transfer desk in Delhi, but they said they couldn’t do it either. And I should go near gates 27-28 and speak there. I went there, and they also blatantly denied it, saying it was only possible at the check-in counter, and the people at LKO should have done it. What an amazing way to harass loyal customers!
Also, I got hair in the dessert on my flight from LKO to DEL, for which they paid me 1000 INR as compensation after I complained online LOL

Goa used to be amazing with portuguese culture and the people were dope af 15+ years ago but everytime I go back its gotten worse and worse and the attitude of people has also gotten worse hence why even the locals have emigrated to different countries.
My son and his wife traveled recently from New Delhi to Toronto in business class (by upgrading their seat). Worst decision that they took in a long time. They had confirmed seats in business class in Cathay Pacific, but canceled them in favor of a direct flight. Their seats were not working (not reclining properly). However, the airline has offered to pay compensation for only one seat. They say that their records show that the other seat was working. How is that possible. My son had shown the seat to the in-flight crew and they had assured that this would be resolved. Now, the onus on proving that the seat was not working is with my son. Very demeaning experience.
Tata as a company is a mess. Tata have a name cause of Ratan Tata. Do one thing buy a Tata Car and see for yourself.

But I don't understand why they have not been able to make Air India great again.
Disastrously poor vehicles - had a colleague with a new one in Africa some years ago and the air conditioning broke within 2 weeks and couldn't fix it for more than 6 months. Was falling apart within a year.

@Josh,
I've been to India in 2023. My international flight has been delayed by an hour. A board near the gate stated my flight was on-time, but an e-mail I've received from travel app I use in my flights confirmed a delay. The info on the electronic board changed after original boarding time has passed.

I had the worst experience 20 years back travelling Air India. Never returned. I learnt a long time ago lol. It was a shitshow back then too.
India is obviously trying to become a developed country with ambitions to overtake China. But with an Airline being managed like this and the shocking levels of incompetence, I can't see them achieving those ambitions.
China's airline industry is both professional and efficient, but India must only look at Singapore Airlines or Cathy Pacific for examples of best practices.
In 2025, the level of incompetence and nepotism in Indian companies, especially staffing, needs to stop.
Singapore Airlines own 25 percent of Air India!
@Dinoknows007 Even better, they should train Air India ground crew on how to be organized.
@@RetroGold nice try , where did covid originate from?
@@asatomasadgamaya-sx2dp What has that got to do with the sh1tty Air India service? And that is why India will never overtake China in anything. I work for a western airline and on flights to India we have indian cabin crew. The crew is lovely and super polite, at least for us pilots, and I have never heard any complaints from the passengers either. The ground handling in Delhi has always been good, in par with most of the international airports around the world. ATC can be sometimes hit or miss, but the airport works in general. It can be done even in Delhi, so maybe it really is an Air India problem.
Indian airports staffs are also worst and racist. As a Nepali and travelled 7 countries till date, I always face racism on Indian airports.

This is completely my experience as well dealing with Indian companies - everything is about cost minimisation instead of delivering what is in interest of end customer, and it shows across all industries. Including even IT, where piecemeal solutions are delivered, backend is a mess and patchwork solutions are done on the fly.
Indian ethics in a nutshell.
@@wholiveswhere Only the east gets to be generalised like this. Imagine if this was a shitshow on Delta or BA, no one would be talking about this being American or British business culture. But because its India, it gives opportunity to people like you to come out and spew ignorant stuff about other countries' culture. As if cost minimisation and profit maximisation is not a huge priority in the west too.
I refuse to conduct business with Indians. I have been burnt way to many times. If you think you can make money doing business with Indians you are sorely mistaken and will suffer immense emotional and financial pain!
Ha Ha Ha... Bull Shit
As an indian i confirm your experience... Air India is the shittiest airline in the world..
Best thing to do is call the cabin crew and ask them to ask the passenger at the back to take her arms of your seat
Yep, thought the same
Or start having an disingenuous coughing fit
I had a similar experience two weeks ago, particularly regarding the ground services. They did not adhere to IATA travel center standards, and the check-in agent provided me with misleading and false information. My trip with Air India ended up costing me extra money, energy, and headaches. I had a very similar issue at the boarding gate as well. The monitors displayed the wrong gate number, and by the time I arrived, the gate was closed. The next gate showed my destination but was actually boarding another flight, so I ended up boarding from a gate marked for Kuala Lumpur. It was a terrible experience, and I will definitely try to avoid flying with them in the future.
When travelling in India, I had one major rule, don't believe any single person. I would ask 3 different people the same question and only believe it if 2 out of the 3 had the same answer. "Where is this bus going?", "what gate should I be at?", "what platform is the Agra train departing from?" I found that worked wonderfully for me. Indians would rather give you a wrong answer than admit they do not know.
Air india is a shitt! Filthy flights.. absolutely shitty staff.. and the food they serve on flights is garbage.
Fly with air india if you want to ruin your travel experience!!

Cambell Wilson has turned out to be a disappointment. In over two years he has not been able to fix even the most fundamental issues like gate change notifications and check-in counter allocations. The honeymoon is over, he should no longer be judged on what he has promised, but on what he has actually delivered.
the harsh truth is that it's a deeper cultural problem. even a great CEO can't bring results if the fundamentals are lacking. it's not a public vs private issue either. people were touting privatization as a magic bullet but I said even then, that it won't be the big break people were hoping for.
@@the80386 It has nothing to do with a "deeper cultural problem" to make accurate gate change notifications, it has to do with the competence of leadership. Wilson led a discount airline, he does seem up to the job to lead Air India.

Gate changes and notifications are crucial! Especially if you’re a first time traveler, if you have mobility issues, you’re not familiar with the airport. I’ve missed a flight a Jeppeson in Denver simply from not understanding just how huge the airport is!!!
Air India needs to understand that investing in new planes and everything is fine but the main focus should be the employees

The honeymoon is over, and Air India still seems much of the same. Campbell Wilson has made many promises and is now just making excuses. Coming from a low-cost carrier background, perhaps he’s simply not up to the task. Fixing gate change notifications, properly allocating check-in counters, and addressing the ‘it’s not my job’ mentality aren’t difficult challenges-what’s needed is the right leader at the top who makes them a priority.

It doesn't matter who is managing AI - not even TATA will be able to overcome the institutional and cultural corruption that exists in nearly every large Indian business. Indian corporate culture will guarantee that AI will be a crap airline no matter who is running the show.
Air India's bad reputation unfortunately gives a taste of the country. It reminds me of my first trip to India in 2006 for Doctors Without Borders.
I am usually happy to travel but what a joy to finally leave this country. A bit like Noël Philips in one of his videos where he is happy to return to London after a stay in India.
It started first of all with this flight on Jet Airways which was a horror: very badly educated passengers who turned around in their seats during all flight to talk (or shout) to people 3 rows behind; one on my right side who was a bit too tactile with the stewardesses until one put him back in his seat and shouted at him: "don't touch me!", very rude staff as well. And the lavatories in a lamentable state with even poop on the walls and up to the ceiling. You have to wonder if the pilot had not indulged in some aerobatics during the previous flight. 🤣
And what about Delhi! The pestilential smell from the sewers, the incessant noise of traffic and its horns, the dirt everywhere, even corpses in the street which were finally removed at the end of the day, The omnipresent scams (it starts at the airport with taxis that don't take you to your hotel but to an "official" tourist office) and that crowd that follows you and looks at you with bliss as if they had never seen a white person. No, India is really not for everyone. This is not the dream destination they are trying to sell you.
Anyway, all this to say that I am not too surprised to see the videos circulating about cleanliness of certain indian planes.
Corpses in the street..you mean human deadbodies.
Lived in India all my life. Were you on crack? Where the f did you go? This is like my trip to San Francisco. NEVER again.
Some of what you said puts a huge question mark on your honesty. Now you can keep ranting saying I as Indian will say India is great. But let me say I ain't even Indian. I am Persian American ( Christian by faith) who have travelled to India on behalf of Boeing which has research and development centres there.
I have been to Hyderabad. I have never ever had a single experience of what you described. Also I travelled to India in Indigo, one of India's best rates airlines. It was a heavenly experience. Josh Cahill and Noel Philips both have vlogs on Indigo where they have also absolutely admired it. Air India is not the representative of India's aviation industry. You are judging the entire aviation industry and in fact the entire country by Jet Airways which has been closed as a company due to poor services and Delhi which is among India's worse cities. Because I have been to Hyderabad, Chennai. Secondly even if Jet Airways is bad the description of the washroom you gave us literally impossible. I have one colleague of mine who had travelled like you on this airways. He never gave such a description. Also the cabin staff maybe behaving rudely which is true but all passengers being uneducated is another false exaggeration because Indians who go abroad are mostly decent. Also as you are referring to all passengers many of them aren't even Indians but from other countries including yours. Lastly one of the descriptions of Delhi you have about corpses is absolutely false and made up. That's San Francisco here. You are describing our San Francisco and Los Angeles. It is very frequent sight here. And these cities look hundred times worse than Delhi.

We flew business class from Hyderabad to Toronto via New Delhi. The Delhi to Toronto flight was nothing but horror. The seat electronics were not working. The ICE was a joke, I would believe it if you told me it is from the 1990s. The remote was not working and neither did the headphone jack. The crew kept trying to gaslight all the passengers in business class that it was a one off and we will be compensated after we arrive. That was a lie. The meal service was not organized and punctual. The cabin crew were clearly stressed out but were not professional enough to handle their stress. One of the crew members kept talking to me in Punjabi(language spoken by most passengers on the flight probably) despite me informing him we are from the Southern part of India and do not understand Punjabi. I could not believe it. That will be the last time I ever fly Air India. My goodness!
The only positive thing from Air India was the meals, despite poor service but their foods surprisingly good 😅

Wow, they really weren't lying when they said you will still get the "Vistara Experience".
So sorry to say this, but having been to India many times in my career - this is a endemic cultural phenomenon that is very hard to eliminate. Even the most expensive top class hotels and experiences in India just lack the finesse and finishing in most aspects. The care and attention does not flow through the culture, perfectionism which is needed in the service industry is instead replaced by cost minimisation, squeezing suppliers and employees - and the whole ethos is about just doing enough to get it across the line. Having stayed in luxury hotels throughout Asia, India is simply no match for other countries in the region when it comes to finishing and efficiency.
Not to mention, having been through Delhi airport - even as a relatively new airport, the transit area is filled with mosquitoes, many things are simply not working including taps and dryers in bathrooms - there is no accountability and the new airports are a paper facade. Mumbai airport the same - went there and they run out of various drink and food options, the airline lounge facilities are lacklustre and food inedible. Checkin processes are completely inefficient. I love the food and the people but if you're looking for high end efficiency, it's not the place!
The check-in shit show on the ground: Here's the thing. At least he checked you in. So his word has integrity. Imagine him telling you to queue and then when confronted, he cannot make good his promise or worse, denies it. Now THAT would have been a real shit show. You got checked in, so I would say that's a win.
I was flying BOM-DEL on AI, captain announces descent into DEL and the crew had not even started tray collection with folks still eating. There was utter chaos and rush to collect food trays to the point that there were trays and food on the floor😂 . Not one or two but a good half dozen. The crew was confused,, should they pick the food from the floor or from seats because the descent was on ! They let the food stay but trays were picked from floor and seats .What a s show but a truly unique experience

Last time I flew from JFK to New Delhi, and then back home with Air India, I decided that I’m never gonna set my foot in their flight, even if they pay me a million dollars! It was horrible and chaotic… And it was AFTER Tata took over
That was actually a pretty decent check-in experience for Air India, lol. They didnt send you around further and instead helped you do your check-in at tje "wrong" counter after you told them of their mistake.
Every sector in India is going downhill, the country is like a sinking ship
"Proudly banned from Qatar Airways" is the best catch line 😂
I always look forward to your videos Josh. Happy travels in 2025.
im glad I'm not the only one who thought air India was pretty shit
I flew Air India for the first time couple of months ago, it was a long haul flight as I had heard TATA had taken over the airline, to my utter disappointment it was staffed by a nightmare of a cabin crew who appeared young, inexperienced and lacking professionalism. This includes the ground staff,
As an international traveller, this was disappointing.
Adding to the above, the poor behaviour of the travelling public does not help, who love to jump the queue lacking basic courtesy at the domestic & International counters
Most shocking is the unruly behaviour of the passengers as the aircraft comes to land It is chaos & pandemonium, passengers rush to retrieve their luggage from the overhead cabin while the aircraft is taxing, endangering co- passengers that are seated, ignoring the instructions by the crew..
I flew Air India from ORD to DXB to DEL to AMD and it was an absolute mayhem. We flew business class and it felt like flying extra bad economy. The food was spoiled, the crew was rude af, and the boarding process was horrible. We are vegetarian, and on the flight from DXB to DEL to AMD, they forgot our food and gave us 500 rupees, which can get you absolutely nothing. It was an absolute waste of our money. Just weeks ago, I flew Emirates business class on the same route, and It was amazing. The amenities were spectacular, the crew actually took our feedback, were extremely friendly, and actually had good and tasty food. I will NEVER fly Air India ever again and I DO NOT recommend it to anyone flying it. Love your videos and keep posting.
Why did you chose to fly Business on AI..i feel it must have been the cost. You get what you pay for. I am no fan of AI but i was hopeful that the new management might make a dent on my impression..looks like same shite jsut a different day.
@@sjacobs8869 My mom broke her foot, and we were forced to travel. we were served the same food, 4 times in 4 different ways. Complete piece of SH*T
Air India in Delhi has quite a lot of checkin rows, not one. Although this also depends on the time of the day you're checking in. However having multiple rows doesn't solve the problem, last time i saw multiple people who spent >1.5 hours in the check-in queue.
AIR INDIA BE LIKE: The main question is 2B or not 2B...😅🤣
Air India is infamous for delayed and cancelled flights !!
I've been to India three times, getting around by plane and train. The country and its people are awesome, but the trains and planes are pretty dirty and uncomfortable.
This is truly shameful. As an Indian who placed a ton of faith in Tata’s ability to change things around, I am so disappointed and have lost hope three years in.
9:24 🤯🤯 that is like puzzle quiz to solve - find proper gate! It is so dissatisfying
They made a lot of senior experienced cabin crew to resign and thought that young crew will give better service, but on long international sectors experience is a major advantage.
I WILL NEVER FLY THIS GARBAGE AIRLINE IN MY LIFE!
Your first mistake, was being in
India!
Wait bro !!! It will improve in next 50 years 🤡
Even Vistara was no perfect in terms of unusual delays. Still they shouldn't have merged the two. As an "honest" Indian, I have experienced the same. They should realise that buying more planes won't make them better but improving the current ones will.
Unfortunately, Air India is dead for me as an Indian. Tatas are not known for any great revival of any entity they acquired. It was mere prestige of Tata once being the owner, they bought it back.
Civil aviation in india: sucks
Railways: constant decline
Roads: meh(up and down, mostly down)
Tourist places + local people: worst of all
These sectors haven't recovered well to pre pandemic levels + decreasing consumption/aspiration
indian civic sense has to improve for india to imrpove and as an indian i dont think it ever will unless population is under control.
@mach1shobhan you think population control will improve civic sense or by teaching, ensuring and then enforcing it
bro population is not the reason for everything, read about TFR in India and rest countries
@ yea i agree population is not the reason for everything but my bad i didn't elaborate, i feel like a poor family that has 5 6 kids that can bring them income cannot afford to give all of them good education which leads to them having shit civic sense, if they instead chose to invest in 1 child's education to get a good quality of education im sure civic sense will improve and i feel like the government having to education so many people because of high population is also one factor rn look at government schools they're terrible in india they'd rather build multiple government schools instead of one really good one and again if population wasn't so high i think that would be the case
Air India has been nothing short of disappointment even after its acquisition by Tata! A once-revered airline back in the 60’s is now just a shell of its former self, because of lax management and no direct competition. I pray a foreign company or airliner will establish another India-based airline to challenge Air India and offer much better service, just to push Air India to improve their own and compete for customers. Otherwise, face bankruptcy. SAD!
Bro things take time. The damage which was created by the government was excessive to fix all of that they need to meet the required budget to be able to fix it.
O God! Dude had to endure disgusting Air India experience!!
Singapore, Qatar, Emirates, Turkish, JAL, etc. are miles ahead....
those are top of the line..AI cannot even compete with ethiopian, south african to begin with
you get treatment on the basis of price you pay
dumb
money=treatment
Tata has lost all common sense. Cabin Crew now have to share rooms on layovers, meaning that they have absolutely no privacy and are unable to organize their sleep as they seem fit. An absolute requirement for a Safe operation. Air India is jeopardising their Passengers and crew’s Safety and simply do not respect their hard working crew, which is always the heart of any airline.
Lack of training, or no training at all. Is it a monopoly in India with no competition that pushes them to improve?
Working progress. Don't worry everything fixed future 👍✌️👌🧡💛💚🙏🇮🇳
Josh, it seems like folks whinging about Air India are in a bad marriage they don’t want to get out of ! I have flown their new A350 from the U.S. to India( the one’s they bought when Aeroflot cancelled ), and thought the experience was good. Nothing outstanding, but not too bad either.
It’s an airline in transition, and will take some time for the hardware improvements to show up. But the softer side( ground staff) must get better, as well as the folks who deliver food and keep planes clean. I have seen similar screw ups with AA, UAL, LH, so nothing unique to AI.
But if AI wants to achieve service levels like CX, SQ, etc they need to sweat the details. This includes accountability for food quality, customer service at check in, keeping toilets clean in flight, among other things. There must be mid and higher level supervisors and managers who fear for their jobs when there is an unresolved complaint, or root cause of a failure is not investigated and fixed. There is a reason CX, Emirates or SQ do well.. their front line employees and managers are under incredible stress and tension to make sure things work… ie sweating the details. I think Vistara may have had this, but I don’t know if it still exists.i think the new CEO is working on this. BTW, my flight between the U.S. and India had clean toilets, and it looked like someone had cleaned them mid flight.
As a follow up, if someone at AI gets to the bottom of your complaints and fixes them, and gives you a coupon for a flight, that would be good.
Finally, you exaggerate the walk time between the gates.. it’s way less than 30 minutes.
He has to exaggerate. That's how he makes his money. These kind of videos aren't made for an audience that's looking for airline reviews.
I think the problem is anyone who work with aviation industry in India considers high pay job people see them as somewhat in higher positions, so they themselves act somehow higher than others, this makes them arrogant, this will effect while serving or conversation, which automatically effect services to the customers.
Sadly Jet Airways never managed to get its second wind! Any new start-up has many hurdles to go through to achieve International status and as you say a difficult space to operate for any budding Indian entrepreneur who will need “very deep” pockets.
It would be nice to see a few new and “immediate”international Indian flag carrier start-ups enter the market …..
We live in a world of disruption and the pace of change has to accelerate.
You are absolutely
right Mark !
If the ground product is weak, then total experience is poor !
Jet airways is coming back though?
jet airways is done for. It's never gonna come backZ
@@delta_cosmic it is tho. It was bought back by a co last year.
Many staff are from Reservation quota of various minority tribes and schedule cast 😂😂😂 tthey do bager all
Disappointed and shocked as it seems ZERO has changed in more than 40 years . I travelled ONLY once on Air India and never again !!. I must say that I had no problem with airline itself or with the crew ( I was given an upgrade to First Class while sitting on the bus to the aircraft ) . My issues were entirely with the airport staff and officials whom I found to be rude , arrogant , unhelpful , obnoxious and utterly disinterested in their jobs or the actual passengers. I won't bore you with the details at the risk of getting Repetetive Strain Injury to type for so long but it was way , way , way the worst experience I ever had at an airport .
I experience the things inside the air india flight Delhi to Amsterdam, no power point work, no entertainment work, still sitting for 8 hours with out both, no charge in phone. and camera.
It's unlikely that Tata will improve Air India anytime soon. Forget the groud experience, they can't even give a damn to retrofit their 787s ans 777s, can't maintain their A350s either (few broken parts were spotted in A350 buisness class). Cabin crew is more of a miss than hit. Food is also below average. Indigo is also equally hopeless now in in flight service. India seriously needs more flag carriers than LCCs to give tough competition to AI and Indigo. Kingfisher and Jet Airways are badly needed now.
But when everyone just buys based on price in India, the airlines that have slightly better service like Kingfisher and Jet Airways get undercut and go out of business. Apart from the elite who travel up the front anyway, it's a race to the bottom constantly.
0:50 To all indian crying over the map, You really expect the whole world to memorize your country's map at a 1:1 scale? It's just for reference, not a geography exam.
I used to replenish the galleys on the B747 at Heathrow back in the early 80's. always full of cockroaches😱😱
Seriously??? Ugh! Plz tell me more - I flew a lot on AI as a kid back then😢
How do they STILL not get it right?? It shouldn’t have been sold to TATA, it should have been wound up and the naming rights sold to TATA to rebrand Vistara.
As for the passenger leaning on the seat, I’d fully recline!
Flying in AirIndia?? BYOT (Bring Your Own Toilet) 😂
I have travelled around the world and my experience is that there is no airline which gives a consistent above average performance. My experience in Charles the Gaulle airport was the worst till date with Air France. They pretended not to understand English and kept insisting to passengers to just stand in the queue for ever. The plane finally took off 1.5 hrs late because of the disinterested attitude of the staff.
Ohhh Josh....didnt they tell u.... All Air India flights come with a complimentary cardio package......
I will avoid flying to India in general and / or fly on Air India and / or any Indian airline ! Why would I waste good money and time when they (airlines and airports)obviously can’t get their act together?!?!!! I would be constantly worried about ATC’s competency as well as their ground security screening…
A lot of passengers found their credit cards were cloned when they paid for a ticket on Air India. Someone went on a shopping spree soon after with those Credit Cards. BEWARE!!
Yawn.... BS
bullshit
I am a proud Indian and still fly with Air India despite my family telling me not to. However, sadly, I too faced many such problems due to poor staff and system quality. In 2024, at Delhi airport with different gates shown in phone message vs airport screens. On the very same day, I also saw someone lose their flight and quarreling with staff at the gate. My baggage missed and received after 4 days after lots of chasing.
Later same year, I got confusing messages saying that my trip is postponed to a month later that turned out to be false message. Hilariously, I still got phone messages of that flight I never booked.
Air India, PIA and Bangladesh Biman, these are all shit shows. Noting will ever change. Absolutely no accountability.
Air India is bad but please dont even put PIA and whatver bangladesh in the same sentence
@ flown all three airlines. Number one worst is PIA, second worst Biman of Bangladesh and third is Air India. I hope you are happy now. Yes, I know, Air India is not number one.
We flew Air India from Bhubaneswar to New Delhi on January 11th. The food was decent, the flight was fine, but the luggage took a long time to come out in Delhi.
The whole country is a mess quite frankly.
You are damn right.
Thank you for your professionalism and attention to detail. Your videos are always impressive.🤑🐥🐩
That is absolutely unacceptable on several counts. I have trips to the area and I will not be flying with them. I will vote with my dollars and use a much more customer centered airline.
