I'm reading online that I need a special permit to bring my prescription medications to Jamaica. Is this true or is it just the internet being the internet? I'm talking about blood pressure meds and generic Viagra.
Regarding the sandals app. Can you mention to sandals some pertinent advice for changes? I noticed that in the app, specifically the dining, that they dont allow you to see other nearby resorts dining options and their time frames availability for serving breakfast/lunch/dinner. There are several islands that offer stay and play at nearby resorts, so the app doesn't necessarily work in conjunction with that theme that sandals advertises. And in a way, its false advertising. Ive reported this issue to the number at sandals and dont know if it will be handled and action taken. The app should be available for nearby resorts as well. So hopefully they see this problem as room for improvement to ease any difficulties a sandals traveler might have when wanting to visit other nearby resorts. Thank you.❤
Good feedback! So, I can't say too much right now, but let's just say that is a LOT of tech development happening in the background at the moment and the app will be greatly improved in the next chapter of Sandals. Some of the features you see now are just beta test features as well. Good things coming! :) ~ Addison | hello@reliantdestinations.com
@@MrTraveLux I hope sandals is able to get that update. I go to the Royal Barbados in May and would love to be able to use the app for conveniences. This will be my fourth time going to a sandals/beaches resort and I already have barbados scheduled for next year to take my adult kids to their first ever sandals. We'd usually frequent beaches turks and caicos, but they will be older now and able to experience what a sandals is like. Hopefully they will enjoy it and become future travelers to their destinations!!! Your videos are amazing and very informative. Thank you so much for your hard work!💖
@@MrTraveLux Hello Addison, I booked a Sandals Royal Bahamian trip with you in 2025 and will all the technical stuff with the app be all updated by then?
For Sandals Royal Bahamian, all features are currently working for guests within the check-in date zone. There are a few new features I also expect before then. :) ~ Addison
You can bring them in either one, whichever is more convenient to you. It's recommended though that you travel with your prescriptions in the case you have to do a refill. :) ~ Addison
Is it required to put a card down? I went to sandals royal plantation but I booked through a travel agent and she said it wasn’t necessary. This year we are going to sandals royal Barbados but I dont have a credit card to put down as the hold. Will that effect anything?
Hello! Yes, you need to put a card down, but it doesn't have to be until you arrive. If you don't have a credit card, you can use debit upon arrival for your incidental hold, but you'll need to do a refund on any unused amounts at the end. ~ Addison
If you go to Barbados, keep in mind its illegal to wear camouflage!! Not even children are allowed. Its highly considered that only the countries military is allowed to legally wear anything camouflage, including shoes, hats or snorkel gear. Some other Caribbean countries have this same law. ❤
Absolutely - a great tip! This is quite common in many nations across the world, but you are right that most Americans aren't aware of this. A good thing to highlight! ~ Addison | hello@reliantdestinations.com
Yes, this is true for many, many places in the world, including many of the other Sandals islands. Each place has their own culture, customs and standards of what they have allowed into law so far. I can say confidently, however, that I have personally assisted LGBTQ+ couples to ALL of the Sandals islands without any incidents whatsoever. The resorts are not judging and as long as issues are not created outside the resort, I can't imagine any issues. ~ Addison

on the subject of bringing Rx medications and vitamins, can I bring them in a pill box, or does it have to be in their Rx bottles?
Forgot to add, to Jamaica?

Jamacia also!
LGBTQ+ need to be aware that it is illegal in Saint Vincent. You can be arrested according to the U.S. State Department website.
