Sure and sharks that kill people in Barbados while snorkeling.
Very good video on Sandals! I love it! I am still going through all your videos on Sandals! Thank you for making this video!
I appreciate this unfiltered video SO much, I have been looking at ads and sites for so long, it just seemed like such an overly extravagant resort for the overly elite and beautiful etc, I felt SO intimidated. This video helped me realize that its just a normal place and not as perfect as the ads
So glad to hear that! Let us know if we can help you book or answer any questions.
I’ve been searching the internet for a video like this! Subbing now!
Thanks so much for the informative video. Best Sandals video I’ve seen! We are heading to Royal Barbados in Feb 2024 and Grenada in Oct 2024. Can’t wait, we have never been to a Sandals before.
Just came back from Barbados! First time, absolutely loved it! Will definitely go back.
Sandals Dunn's was very nice. We just got back and very happy with that trip. Gorgeous resort
Headed to St Lucia this weekend, wonderful video!
You both are literally so helpful; thank you so much ❤
So glad we can help!
this is super helpful, thank you for this!
what a great video and y’all covered so much
Amazing! Thank you. We loved Royal Barbados for the rooms and I loved the original Barbados resort for the authentic feel! We’ve just got back from La Toc and it was absolutely spellbinding xxx
I really enjoyed this review! Thank you.
This video is certainly one of the best Sandals review out there.
Great video! Can’t wait til my passport comes
Great video and very helpful with making a choice.
Such a helpful video! Thank you so much for the great opinions
You are so welcome!
love your channel ...greetings from St Vincent and the Grenadines🤩😁
My husband and i just returned from Royal Caribbean in Jamaica. Loved, loved it! We would go back in a heartbeat. I want to try another Sandals location and whichever we choose, hopefully, it exceeds our first visit. ❤
Did you have any safety concerns?
Superb review!
I have enjoyed your videos as we are thinking about going to Sandals ourselves soon & your reviews really helped! Sorry to hear from motion sickness as that must be difficult traveling as you do! I'm lucky that it doesn't affect me or my partner at all👍 Thanks again 😊😊
Thank you! The motion sickness does come into play when we are planning our travel so we are always prepared with Dramamine.
Hello! Wow thank you for this amazing video and all the information on the different resorts!! Very tempting! In terms of food- which resort had the best vegetarian options? Hope you guys are doing great! Monique and Doug
Hello! Barbados has the best variety and the best vegetarian friendly food.
This was an amazing video!! What about comparing the rooms for every resort? We are looking into Grenada Barbados and Saint Lucia. Thank you!
Just got back from curacao sandals! Best food hands down. They did have the slowest service ever imo. Super friendly but slow motionnnnnn
Great video! We just came back from Royal Caribbean in Jamaica and were not as happy with it as Royal Plantation we stayed in last year. I felt the entertainment was not the same or the activities, they played 80's 90's music all week and barely played any reggae. Which when going to Jamaica I expect to hear around the resort or at least steel drums. We booked our next trip for Grenada, my question to you is, how do you feel the entertainment is there? Im concerned that there is only one resort so if we get bored we are stuck there, unlike Royal Plantation where we had Ochi to go play at as well. Thank you for your help.
Which one is your least favorite personally? I know that this is a highly subjective question, but based on your likes I think your preferences align very highly with mine. BTW, this is the absolute best review of Sandals as a whole that I’ve ever seen. Better than any website I’ve visited as well. This video is now the gold standard of Sandals reviews in my book
Thank you Ryan! Personally, we would say Sandals South Coast. But the room we stayed in is now being remodeled so that is an improvement. And while it wasn't great for us, I know some people love it there.
@@HoneymoonAlways aww, I’m going there soon. Do you mind discussing why?
@@angelheartonline We stayed at South Coast in January and we loved it. It was our first all inclusive resort so maybe we were just star struck. There was a lot of grass in the water which was not awesome but the reef you can go snorkeling and scuba diving at was gorgeous and very large and colorful and full of life. You will have a great time if you havn't already been. Word of advice though, bring your own snorkel and mask with you on the trip. There are pilings and rocky outcrops you can explore without having to buy a mask for $50 from the gift shop because it is not included with the room. And make sure you make a dinner reservation at Shooners the day you get there for a day later in the week. We didnt get to try Schooners because they were booked solid thru our whole trip.
@@angelheartonlinesouth coast is great.. not even close to being at the bottom of any list..
Most have it in the top 5. Really big cool resort..
I do agree that grande st Lucian is the best
That's a lot of Sandals points. Been to all the Beaches, SMB, SN, SSC(2X), SGA,(2X), SGSL, two former GPN and GPA. SB IN 24.
Good video.
We just got back from Sandals Grande St Lucian and we fell in LOVE with it! We booked our next Sandals trip for Grenada after several couples we met on the resort shared Grenada was their #1 and Grande St Lucian was their #2. We'll see how we feel about that order when we go in a few years. Any specific tips or important differences we should expect between the two? Thanks so much for your indepth videos!
I think we have a slight preference for Grenada as well. No major differences though.
Sandals Grenada is the BEST Sandals resort IMHO
Love your guys videos, they help a lot. Planning a honeymoon next year, we're leaning mostly Sandal's South Coast but also Royal Barbados, Grenada, and possibly Dunn's river. Would you say the beach and food of South coast to the others on my list? (Waiting on Dunn's River)
Hello, glad we can help. We liked the beach and food better at Royal Barbados and Grenada, but South Coast is more affordable. When you are ready to book, here is a link that will let Sandals know that we were able to help. www.sandals.com/specials/?referral=108782&agentid=DABA6809
GREAT JOB. Thank you
Make sure you come to the new resort opening in St. Vincent and the grenadines opening in February 2024.
Hey loved the video would you mind sharing which resort you think has the whitest sand and the clearest blue water? 😊
Sansals St Vincent just open recently. A beaitiful Caribbean country and resort....epic. Take a trip ans show.
Hi there, love the content. We are trying to get away for Feb 16 to 25, 2024. Any idea where can we go for an all inclusive on a budget?
Great video
Sandals Grande Lucian is stellar. We stayed in one of the newer beachfront hex bungalows, but, sadly, there was a couple that was in the over the water bungalows that kept stationing in the front of our room, smoking constantly, and blasting loud music nearly 24 hours a day. Security at the resort did essentially nothing. Smoking and disruptive behavior is not allowed, and people like that should be removed and permabanned if not compliant. I will vouch for the helicopter ride. The ride in the van was FOREVER and the traffic in Castries was backed up for MILES.
great review! do you happen to have any footage of the fitness centers for any of the resorts?
Hi! Our most thorough gym footage is from Sandals Royal Plantation ua-cam.com/video/nASTI0yBdrI/v-deo.htmlsi=9DFuxnkilRs7AMrp&t=232
Glad you liked Grenada. Try silver sand hotel.
@honeymoonalways When did you visit Sandals Negril? My last trip, their beach was practically gone.
which woukld you say has the best off beach snorkeling? We did Grenada and that was nice but any other suggestions, not excursion but off the site itself.
Newbie here, but are all the water sports part of the all inclusive thing too? Kind of hard to wrap my head around the idea lol
This was so helpful!! Thank you so much, you both are the coolest! On an unrelated and slightly related note Dan, did you get your scuba diving certification at the Sandals resort? We really want to learn scuba diving and were hoping to certified so was wondering how to go about that? We have a week long stay at Sandals La Toc coming up this summer and thought maybe we could do this as well whilst there!
So glad we were helpful! Yes, you can get certified while staying at Sandals. It was around $400 which was cheaper than doing it before coming. You can just go to the scuba shop when you arrive and tell them you want to get certified.
There’s gonna be a new one in Saint Vincent soon hope you guys can visit ❤
They’re making it hard for us to keep up!
Haven’t seen you guys on here forever
NOW THATS A LIST!!!!!! THANKS! Be honest, how soundproofed are the walls of the rooms though? do you "hear" neighbors? but wow just the list i was looking for! thanks for mentioning the water of the beaches !!! and all the category's too, wow, you thought of everything!
We never heard anything too interesting. I remember sound traveled a bit more in the older buildings, but overall I don’t remember being too bothered. The only thing that bothered us was the late night entertainment at a couple of the resorts if our room was close to the entertainment venues. But we live in Europe so we were much more jet lagged then most Americans.
@@HoneymoonAlways thank you so much for your help! I love your videos
Any recommendations on the helicopter and ferry to and from the Grand St. Lucian?
Which ine has the best food? My fav was south coast and we also stood in ochi and we loved them both but south coast was better
Can you please tell me how I can pull off a 6 month vacation and visit ALL 16 Resorts at Sandals!
Thanks!
We are planning our honeymoon for July, and deciding between all the Sandals resorts. We are trying our best to avoid the "rain", looking for hopefully a sunny week. Do you suggest any of the resorts over the others for July in terms of weather?
I follow you from Colombia, it would be great if you put subtitles in Spanish so that Latinos can get to know your channel. Very good video
New subscriber here from Africa 🌍
Which site do you recommend for those who want to avoid a lot of stairs and long distance walk to amenities
What is the helicopter company you would suggest for st. Lucia?
Hi I am from the Turks and Caicos Islands we have a sandals resort for family.
Our favorite was Sandals Grande St Lucian
I am heading Montigo bay April 2025, after it being rescheduled. However, I am not sure it fits what we want after looking at your video.
Do any of the resorts have heated pools?
Wondering why so many reviewers have negative postings on sites of sandals barbados
I wonder if you guys would rank the St. Vincents and the Grenadines location. It looks stellar and I think we are going to make that one our next visit.
It’s the best! We’ll do full videos soon
Vista the one now open in st Vincent
My wife and I are torn between Sandals Grand St. Lucian and Sandals Grenada. We are early 30's but not in the party scene anymore. we like to have a few drinks and chill. Would like to hear your thoughts/recommendation on these two.
go to St Lucia. the food is some of the best food i have had. and, it will suit the vibe you are looking for.
Exuma has beautiful water
is weather too hot in Jul?
How did you feel about Antigua? I have heard it is the best beach aside from the Bahamas. But I have also heard that they are outdated... opinions and advice?
Antigua has a nice beach, but not better than Barbados, Grenada, Grande St Lucian or Bahamas. The thing most people do not like about the beach there is the vendors. It is a bit outdated, which is why it is a good deal if you go there. They will start renovating soon so prices will go up. We have a video about Antigua coming up in a few weeks.
Great videos! After 7 trips to Jamaica (South Coast & Negril), we are heading to La Toc in a month. How much of a hassle is having to shuttle to the marina to scuba? My wife does not scuba, so I am a little apprehensive about possibly being gone so long. Do you mind letting me know what time you left La Toc to shuttle to the marina and what time you returned? Thanks!
I don’t remember exactly but it’s a 10 minute drive. We left in the morning and we’re back for a late lunch if I remember correctly.
How was your trip? We just returned from Royal Bahamian in the Bahamas and booked Regency Le Toc for next year.
@kevinbrinkley1641
How was the trip? We're going this December for our 10yr
Love your commentary. I noticed that you didn't mention a lot about Sandals Antigua except for having the best pool. I recently booked it for next month. It was honestly between Antigua and Grenada only because I've never been to either of the islands. Did I make a mistake? Lol
Antigua is great. Really great service and pools. The beach is great but it is a public beach with peddlers. The rooms are a little outdated, which means you get more bang for your buck.
I LOVED antigua!!
@dawnwheeler2649 I agree we came back from there in Sept, and Antigua really set the bar very high. I'm nervous the others wouldn't compare. Trying Ochi next.
@HoneymoonAlways Came back from there and you all were correct about everything. Had a marvelous time and trying Ochi next so I'll look at that video. Thanks for your commentary.
Hi! Thank you for the video, its been very helpful. Im currently planning a surprise trip for my husband and have been looking specifically at sandals grande St lucia or sandals grenada. How would you say the "hustle" feels in those locations. Are there non resort staff loitering on the beach trying to sell you things? How about the airport? I ask because my husband and i went to Jamaica many years ago and while we loved the resort we had a man take our bags at the airport and wouldnt put them on the bus without tips, staying on the beach was largely uncomfortable because the people trying to sell things just staring you down even when you said no thank you. I realize the islanders need to live off tourism but it felt like everywhere we turned someone was looking for a dollar and it really soured the experience. Any thoughts you have would be much appreciated. Thank you!!
We felt similarly in Jamaica but it is very minimal in Grenada and St Lucia. When we went we didn’t need help with bags but it is usual to tip the people at the airport if they help a few dollars. But you aren’t going to feel like everyone is constantly hustling like they are in Jamaica.
We just booked for Grenada but we just got back from Grande St Lucian. The beach is public on St Lucia, but any vendors or solicitors were respectful. Just a quick chit chat and a "yeah, we haven't decided" or "no thanks, we're opting to stay on the resort/use the resort amenities" and they went on their way. They didn't track you down or yell at you or push, which was great. It was overall a quiet beach and it was beautiful. We DID opt to use the jet skis from the vendor off the resort ($60 for 30 mins) and it was amazing; he was kind in explaining everything to us and we felt safe the whole time. Otherwise, we stayed on resort and had the ability to be left alone from anyone walking on the public part of the beach.
I guess your next visit will be Sandals St Vincent
Best for 30th anniversary?
Looking for a honeymoon for my fiancé and I. Debating between Sandals La Toc St. Lucia and Antigua. Looking for a mix of relaxation and fun, with some privacy. La Toc seems like a great resort, but I’m not sure how to feel about the hills and having to walk them - we are both fit but don’t want to have that be a negative part of our experience. Any insight?
Me and my wife have visited 4 and Antigua is our favorite hands down.
You guys need to open a travel agency, you’re great at this.
Thank you! And we are travel agents now :)
I disagree with the Barbados ocean was rough. But Grenada was awesome all the way around.
Can you recommend a resort that does not require a lot of walking? Going with 2 friends over 50 and we are active, but I have a back injury and find excessive walking is problematic. We mostly will enjoy food and lounging on scenic beaches with a great cocktail.
Grenada would be best because it is flat and easy to walk from one end to the other. Some other great options are Negril, Royal Caribbean, Halcyon, or Curacao.
Grenada is mostly flat but be careful of the location of your room. The rooms at the back of the resort have a STEEP hill. I’m young and fit and dreaded walking up it by the end of the day. I was there with my parents (my mom has back issues) and they didn’t even want to attempt it
Can you tell me more about your experience with Antigua?
The beach is great, rooms are outdated and staff is wonderful. We will have a video out about our time there in a few weeks.
Could you rank all the Sandels resort, not just the top 5. From Best to worst!
We have the best sea water's here in the Bahamas
Obviously you guys travel a lot. Do you go to other brands besides Sandals. Wondering how you would compare brands like Couples, Secrets, Excellence to Sandals?? Also when you were in St. Lucia was the boat ride and helicopter ride to and from resort crazy expensive?? Thanks for the great info!!
We haven’t been to as many non Sandals resorts but one main reason is Sandals has more included like tips, scuba, airport transport.
The boat ride was around $150 per person and the helicopter was around $200 per person if I remember correctly.
Do you mind telling everyone which months of the year you were at each of these? Thanks!
We’ve been to the ones in Jamaica during November and January. Bahamas was in November, the rest were March and April.
How did you get to Sandals Curaçao? My preferred airline (Delta) does not have flights into Curaçao. The option is to fly to Aruba and take a regional flight to Curaçao. What did you all do? Thanks for the info.
We actually flew there after spending time in Antigua and then went to Grenada after that so never looked at getting there from the US.
We live in Atlanta and took American, connecting through Miami. The food was the best above all Sandals in my opinion. We’ve been to a handful. I actually thought the service was really good. But we went a few months after it opened so everyone was from Sandals resorts from different islands. Our butlers were from Jamaica. I cannot say enough good things about them
While I was looking into staying at a Sandals resort I was doing some research and apparently if you are arriving by yourself they wont allow it since Sandals is geared towards couples. While I enjoy solo traveling I guess Sandals is a no go.
I agree that you are better off going somewhere else if you are solo
Sandals Dunn's River Review is live!!! ua-cam.com/video/F_-2OXe1Jak/v-deo.html
I want to use your link to purchase a jamaica sandals the first week of June. Nigril or ochio. But I was wondering when you guys went? I'm concerned about the seaweed!! Do you think that would be an issue the first week of june?
We went in September in the middle of hurricane season. Early June should not be an issue.
@@HoneymoonAlways That's so great to know. Thank you 😊
Did you all go to Grand Antigua and what were your thoughts?
We did, we really liked it. Really great staff and food. The beach is great but lots of vendors. Loved the pools too. Rooms are a bit out dated, but the price is good and is a good time to go before the renovate and prices go up.
What service did you use for the boat transfer from the airport?
It’s called Fun to See Island Ferry Service
@@HoneymoonAlwayswas i5 offered through the resort. The transfers in St Lucia were horrible. It actually took 3 hours not 1 1/2 as advertised. The traffic on the island was really bad even when we took excursions.
The transfer took us to a town that was a 10 minute drive to the resort. I think it’s the same for all St Lucia resorts, the transfer takes you pretty close.
Take the helicopter on arrival start your vacation quicker you won’t regret it. We took the car ride back and we’re so happy to see so much of the island. If you stare out the side windows I can see how you could get car sick. Just look straight lol
How is the service at Sandals Barbados? Read some reviews some people were not happy with the service there.
I visited Sandals Barbados and it was not great at all. I was extremely disappointed. Food wasn’t great, service was lacking and couldn’t enjoy the beach without multiple local Drug Dealers pushing us to buy drugs. Extremely disappointing
Which one has a neach where you will not be pestered by people trying to sell ypu something?
The ones you will have people selling stuff are Negril, any in Saint Lucia, Barbados and Antigua. Antigua is the only one with a lot of vendors.
Which resorts had the top best hotel rooms?
Do you all still have your beautiful apartment in Portugal or are you fulltime travelers?
Still in Portugal, UA-cam just makes it seem we are always traveling.
@@HoneymoonAlways Great! 😅
LUCKY YOU .Some Like Me Work 12 hrs a Day Driving a Truck Thats Work ?
Thank you! Enjoy your drive!
Exuma is close
Have you ever been to SANDALS
SAINT VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES??
Not yet, I think it opens next week. We want to go in May.
What is the best month to go to these resorts?
Depends on the island. They are pretty much year round destinations. Sept- Nov is hurricane season, but that only affects a small amount of travelers. And it can be chilly in the Bahamas in the winter. Otherwise, go anytime!
Do not book your flight through sandals, in one month my flight has been changed two times when I ordered the flight. The flight ordered at the time was one of the most expensive flights. The flights they offering me right now where the cheaper flights at the time, and JetBlue is not even trying to reimburse me the difference in price from the original time we ordered the flight. When you talk to Sandal’s customer they are very quick to tell you to get a refund. Not keeping in mind that if you do get a refund you have to pay like almost $500 more than what you paid originally. We booked this for our honeymoon, And all we have had was headaches between sandals and JetBlue
I had nothing, but impeccable customer service. Everything went off completely to my expectations, if not, overly and above my expectations…
Barbados calm beach? Not at all. You got lucky. Grenada is our favorite of all. Anyone I know who has been to Ochi didn't like it. I wouldn't even bother going.
I waiting your reply
Sandals Curacao is our least favorite of their resorts. The food is amazing, better than the other resorts. The resort is beautiful, rooms are beautiful, the service is mehhhh, not like the other resorts. The beach is a deal killer, it is not a "beach". The resort is far from town so if you like to get off the resort and sightsee, it isn't ideal. If you never leave the resort and don't mind a not beach, beach, this may be your place. The diving in Curacao is however spectacular, the diving is what redeemed the trip for us.
Sandals Royal Barbados (both of them) has a terrible beach. Red seaweed everywhere. Cannot swim in it. Staff spends 6a-Noon everyday with large tractors clearing it from beach (all while you sit on a beach chair listening to industrial tractors at your feet). We had to go to public beach 1/2 mile down to get in the water. Done 9 Sandals.. by far the worst and would never go back. Not sure why so many travel agents push this place unless it is a request by corporate Sandals. Antigua, St Lucia and Negril are the best.
Hi John, when we were there seaweed was not a problem, but when we were at Antigua and Negril it was. It’s hard to predict what the seaweed will be like except with St Lucia where I don’t think it’s ever really an issue.
Sandals are stuck in the 80’s . I’ve not found anywhere that is better than secrets cap Cana
I’ve heard good things about Secrets Cap Cana but haven’t been yet. I would say Sandals has been making huge strides with their 2 newest resorts and will be making changes to existing resorts to match our changing expectations.
What are the two newest
