Man great video. I feel like why I didn't watch this before buying my first guitar. I bought my first guitar online, it had the problem of bridge subsidence, but I didn't understand it as I was beginner at that time. Now I am going to buy new guitar after 3 years. Lucky me I found this video
i can't play .. can i still buy a used guitar on my own knowing only this ? i can play simple chords tho .. should i judge the guitar only by playing thos simple open chords ?
To begin with you should be OK. Just make sure you trust the person you are buying from and it is never a good thing to spend too much on a first guitar. I only knew 3 chords when I got my first guitar . . it wasn't perfect but I had it for several years and learned a lot on it.
Yes. I literally knew zero chords when I bought my first guitar, I just had the previous owner play it for me. In hindsight, it wasn't a good guitar but it worked fine enough for me. I've since sold it and its onto a new owner
Yes . . they aren't expensive. The new ones are usually semi blank and need to be shaped with a file. You have to buy a new one and shape it so it is the same height and shape as the old one or the height and shape you want and then just put it in place of the old one.
@@ricardotilado7513 I'll say . . there's been something wrong with my UA-cam comments section and suddenly hundreds of comments have appeared that I didn't know about. I'll try to answer them anyway even if there way old . . 🙂
Sorry, that question is impossible for me to answer. It depends on so much . . what country your in ? do you want electric or acoustic ? how sure you are you will commit ? How much money do you have ? etc. etc. But the good thing is that even if you give up, you can sell the guitar and get most of or all your money back, if you keep it in good condition.

Buy new then it's up to you how it's looked after.
my bridge is lifted on the bottom right side, does that entail I'm screwed?
Not necessarily, sometimes it can be adjusted and sometimes the guitar plays OK despite the fault.
Can you replace a bridge if it's broken slightly??
