Always righteous advice and fact. Love your videos, brother because you always come from a kind and compassionate golfer. Who knows this stuff. Swing advice for my swing coach on the course is absolute gold but swing of ice from anyone else is generally a bunch of BS.Cheaters are the ones that I stay away from and will make excuse to get away from. Golfers who annoy me need good playing partners to hopefully change their ignorance. Keep making these great videos, brother, please. Thank you, brother.
Lol. That was great. We have a couple of jerks at our muni who blast out hard rock/metal from their cart. That's pretty much grounds for a clubhouse complaint if it happens more than once or twice.
This is really great, and long overdue. You're the guy I'd love to play with ANYTIME. Especially since the pandemic, I've noticed how many inexperienced players aren't aware of basic golf etiquette as you point out. Here are a couple more: 1. When it's cart paths only, PLEASE bring the clubs you think you'll need when you exit the cart. 2. Be aware of your shadow when you're standing next to someone on the green. 3. When the course is busy, there should be an agreement for ready golf on the greens.
Very well and also very funny guide to have a golf round in perfect harmony with your playing partners. It's important to remember the spirit of the game and also courtesy.
You could easily do a Part 2 and Part 3 to this...and yes, I believe turn it all in to a way overdue new song! Great info and great video. Thank you!!🙂
Thanks for producing this video. I often stand behind my playing partners while they’re teeing off-mostly, from their request to help follow the shot. I will concentrate on standing at an angle.
The last two were so hilarious!! You shot 65 and dude shot 95, and he's giving you advice? Incredible. I have been guilty of some of these over the years, but I've learned to do better. Nice vid.
Great video. There used to be a bloke in our group who always said ‘good shot’ and would then ask where it went. It was like he had a nervous response. So annoying!
Lol, I'd rather have them behind me. Tend to see them more if they're off to the side. 😅😅 But the worse is when you're paired up in the same cart who plays music while playing and plays it loud.
I played with a guy that just moved to our neighborhood league who felt obligated to reconstruct in detail what he did wrong on each one of his shots as soon as we got back in the cart. It went on 0:02 for 18 holes! Nonstop agony. Never again!
If someone pisses me off while playing I just tell them that they may be happier bowling. They don’t have to worry about lost balls, and they can drink and talk as much as they want, and the ball comes back to them automatically even after a bad shot. 😊 I’ll play with anybody once, the second time depends on how well they did the first time.
Regarding people who cheat. I don't care if they do. They're just cheating themselves. That's why I don't cheat. I met a guy whose playing partner cheated in a comp. He warned him once, and as the cheater repeatedly cheated, he refused to sign his card.
I play with a large group of seniors and they mostly follow the rules as well as etiquette. My biggest beef is that a couple of them can't shut up while I'm putting.
Great tips. I suppose included in the "ready golf" concept, but one of my pet peeves under that umbrella is playing partners that are not ready EVER at the tee box. Always have to stay back at the cart and fiddle with crap in their bag. For some reason, they HAVE TO tee off last, EVERY TIME. Why? Sometimes I like to mess with them...pull up on a hole and just turn to them and say..."You're up" just to watch the panic in their eyes. Of course, then we all wait. Sheesh...
The one thing that stands out for me....is people who pick up golf balls....knowing they might be someone else's in their group. It's the only thing I ever get pissed off at people about. I like to play true scores....and not move balls, if not necessary. Just annoying when people assume they can move your ball out of a bad situation.
Great video. Funny and great points. How would you tell your regular playing partners these things if you are friends (e.g. music and standing behind you)? You earned a new subscriber!
My golfing buddy has a brother in law that looks for balls every hole. He is late to every round. Hell, he will spend 5 minutes looking for his ball when it 40 yards OB. He adds one hour minimum to our round everytime. After about 5 rounds with this guy I just can't do it. I discreetly can't make it when I know the goofball is going to show up.
I seem to get unreasonably annoyed by all the weekend warriors throwing fits and yelling after every shot. You play 6 rounds a year (maybe). What are you mad at?
I'm really starting to like your channel. Normal stuff, normal demeanor, respectful language, and no hype. Have a group that has a: Ball hound, a rules official, a guy that flies off the handle because he hits a bad shot, a swing fixer, a club rattler, one that drives up within inches of the green (he's almost 90 though, so...). But we all seem to make it thru the round without killing each other.
I've never understood the missing a putt, tapping it in, then going back and placing the ball and hitting the putt again. Yeah, it's going to be easier the second time, you know the line. The only time I care about someone elses score is when they clearly cheat, then brag about their score at the end. I also don't play for money.
The "good shot" one gets me BAD. I am not great, but I am better than most of the people I regularly play with. I know they mean well....but it literally makes my skin crawl LOL
i gotta be honest on this one: get over yourself. If someone is paying you a sincere compliment, take it w grace. My mama raised me better than to get mad at ppl tryna be nice to me.

@@mistahshorthitter so true,I like to have a laugh and joke when playing golf but am always aware not to intrude on other players games whereas some people just go around with no awareness of other golfers,as for the picking up balls had it happen to me many times I’ve even seen them do it ,deny it and walk off😡
I was surprised by the music thing too - can't say I witnessed it in my years in the UK or here in Australia. What I have seen too regularly (both places) is arrogant d..ks 'hitting up' on a group because they don't like the pace of play. So funny, I think I’ve played with all these guys that do these things, the worst thing that people do is, when it’s you turn to play they start talking and as you are ready to hit they start to whisper so the can finish there conversation, when you stop and start again they tell everyone to be quiet because you are hitting. One guy told me just get use to the background noise, I walk of at that point. 🏌️♂️👍🇨🇦

One that just aggravates me to no end is adjusting every lie to practically being teed up and on top of that just moving it from behind a tree and throwing it on the fairway. Then they have the audacity to keep score! I understand if your just practicing and no one is behind you but It's like why the fk do you even play?
