  • My previous upload on the Foxwell NT650 Eliete took off quite well, and continues to be successful. I thought I'd follow up with some more thoughts about this particular scanner.
At $240 it's quite impressive and gives real time data for multiple functions, but is it actually worth investing in over something like an Autel scanner? I'll let you decide.

I received this scanner in a mail yesterday, and today reset my steering angle and calibrated other things that caused my VSA indicator to constantly be on the dash. The reset worked great and now have the VSA working again.

You should learn the device before reviewing it.

It is a shame you don't know how to work the tool before doing a review, and it's your second review! Also your car is Asian not European. The reason only hybrids show is because they need thier batteries reset...hybrids! Yours, you just stick a new battery on when it's dead and off you go again. Does anyone do a good review of scan tools? Even the dealers don't know what they do! Would be good if someone did a review and actually showed some of the more advanced stuff the tool does instead of just unplugging an airbag?

the menu looks frustrating. if it reads the OBDII, why do you have to tell it manually the car you have?

  • @dronevisiontechnologies2710

Adaptations are values that the car has learned over time. Weather its learning your driving characteristics all the way to adjusting different parameters slightly as the car ages and parts wear down in an attempt to give the driver as little performance degradation as possible. An example of that would be replacing your battery with a new one in a car equipped with a battery monitoring system. If the new battery is installed without resetting the ecu the car is going to keep charging the battery as if it were old because an older battery needs more of a charge as it ages, and the lifespan of the new one will be seriously diminished. That the theory of it anyways in a nutshell. So that's an adaptation, hope that helps.

Yup. This was pointless. I own this and it works well. A better review would have been using it to read an engine management code or show the live data selections with graphs. Also, not every function is designed to work with every car. A scanner can only communicate with a car that’s built to respond with specific functions.

I try to put my Volvo V70 in service mode, to change brakes. But my nt650 elite tells me that the battery is to low. The minimum for service mode is 12V. I have a battericharger connected. So I have 16,8 V. And still it tells me it's to low battery. What should I do?

I’m I crazy or is Hyundai not a Korean brand? So why do you spend all video scrolling to European vehicles and then saying nothing there? Or is S. Korea in EUROPE in Foxwell’s mind? So confused on if you’re wrong or Foxwell’s wrong or I just don’t understand?

    • @ITMTS

Just exactly that. Keeps going to USA first (believe this guy lives there) but doesn’t mean your car is American or... in each menu “lets check I guess its european, no it’s not there.” Duh! Chooses all the options except asian, while earlier in the video he made same mistakes and eventually (as it seemed to me) got a “doh” moment and learned it was Asian, guess not..
Sorry for the negative response but the entire vid I kept facepalming. Sad that this is the only vid that tries to cover all options 😅

@@ITMTS If you want to read all about it I just explained/proved in the regular comments that although David did not know and was frustrated, he was right to chose Asian and USA and Foxwell is not at fault. So now maybe redoing the Foxwell video is a must or it wouldn't be fair.

This Foxwell stuff is a joke. I had the N650 Elite, and it was very unreliable, + guess what, it can do almost nothing with my W204 Merc, which is a popular car so nothing fancy stuff. It cannot access the Airbag module, cannot see the engine control module (only thing it can see the very basic OBDll stuff, which can do a 10$ chinese OBD reader just as good), cannot do the throttle body adaptation (on paper it should be able to do that so they simply lie). In comparison, my other tool the iCarsoft CR Pro was able to do the adaptation without problem, and it can access all of the modules in my car. The update of the Foxwel is a PITA, the application freezes every 5 minutes, sometimes cannot connect to their server to download the stuff. Never ever buy anything from them. The only thing which the Foxwell do better than the CR Pro, it can show 2 graphs in the same time, while th CR Pro can only 1.

I see what you mean, you are not at fault here yet these other people comments are blasting you for being at fault. I will explain why. It was confusing for me too, I thought the same way as the others in blaming you but something said figure out the truth.
You select Asian car, did a SmartVin and after 2 mins of scanning which you clipped out you showed us that the scanner gave ( 3 : 2 8 ) USA & Europe, VIN and only gave you a Airbag module, so for the sake of the video you select USA, Sonata... What else could you do. The thing is, the reason why Foxwell gave you USA & Europe is because your car is built in Montgomery, Alabama, USA!!!!!!!!! Yes, it was frustrating, no choice but to chose Asian brand 1st but when you did the SmartVin Foxwell knew it was made in USA... Foxwell can't be blamed for the truth and not all features works across the brands or models. I need to figure out why it gave you Airbag module only but I need a rest after this.
Why you did not do a diagnosis scan of the car in the beginning to find the TPMS fault?
