This old cartoon show, infamous for its poor production quality, is in the public domain because it was made before 1963 and failed to properly renew its copyright.

Ken Southworth, who animated this particular episode, was a veteran of many years with the MGM cartoon studio and Walter Lantz Productions, and had a great deal of "know-how" to offer. He eventually wound up at Hanna-Barbera.
The writing and the dialogues certainly are on the level of Ed Wood. The directing is horrible (out of sync everything). The animations are better than what the soviets shat out during the 90's but that doesn't make this even decent. Sam Singer being called the Ed Wood of animated shows is well deserved when you take all his other works into account.The Adventures of Paddy the Pelican for example is completely atrocious in every way imaginable and so is Adventures of Pow Wow.
I've only heard about this American cartoon from the early 1960s on the internet before. I've also heard it's one of the worst cartoons of all time. It has been criticised for its poor animation and racist stereotypes.

I think this cartoon proves you don’t have to study animation to produce a show.
The cartoon is pretty bad but the animation is better than I expected

That lip syncing is terrible. Was this translated or was this really that bad in english lol
This is regarded as one of the worst cartoons ever produced. The racial stereotyping was bad even for the early 60s and that’s saying something.
This is is nothing compared to cartoons from the Thirties and Forties.
KWWL-TV, Waterloo, IA carried B&P at 12:15 , after the news. Mid Day Matinee was perfect for laughs just before going back to school.
The copyright year given at the end is 1958, not 1960.
