This mini documentary from 1963 was beautifully done and it's nice to see it in it's original form without edits, additional voice-overs or added material. This is the real deal. I wish it was a special feature on one of the DVD's. I've seen a few segments of this in other youtube videos. Charlie Brown Christmas wasn't even thought of yet when this was made. I'd like to see some more of the car commercials that led up to this though. Great job guys.

It would be nice, especially if it could possibly be seen on TCM (Turner Classic Movies) along with the earlier animated Peanuts movies for theatre screens like “A BOY NAMED CHARLIE BROWN”,
      “SNOOPY, COME HOME”,
“RACE FOR YOUR LIFE, CHARLIE BROWN”, and “BON VOYAGE, CHARLIE BROWN (AND DON’T COME BACK AT ALL)”.

😎👍 As a longgggg time comic strip fan I thank you for presenting this documentary that actually did air in the late 60s because I remember seeing it over at my grandparents house. Since you were able to locate this comics documentary maybe you can locate another 30 minute Comics TV documentary that aired in the late 60s ; don't remember the name of it but I do distinctly remember that old film footage of inventors were included , that a couple of covers or splash pages from World's Finest ( a DC comic book that presented the adventures of Superman teamed with Batman and Robin) were highlighted and in a Little Orphan Annie skit Raquel Welch played Annie!

Someone like Mike Judge needs to make the Schulz family an offer that they can’t refuse to allow a follow up in which a grown up Charlie Brown now drives a diesel semi truck as a self-employed driver who not only drives the diesel semi truck, but owns it as well?
Other vehicles he has ownership of are his 1974 Ford F350 pickup truck together with the 1974 Chevrolet Suburban he jointly owns with the little red haired girl (now happily married to him), and Snoopy has his 1958 Chevrolet DelRay 2-door sedan with all the features of the 1958 Chevrolet Impala driven by Ron Howard in the classic movie “AMERICAN GRAFFITI”, except for the fact that a 409 C.I. (Cubic Inch) 4-Barrel Big Block V-8 engine under the hood in place of the factory issued 327.

I think they were trying out frame work in this documentary for the animation,I remember hearing somewhere that they didn’t know what to do it terms of movements.

Can’t Lucy ever learn to cut Charlie Brown some slack and give him a break for a change? Wow
