I have a weird take about this - I actually prefer using schwarz over pozy most of the time simply because findinh a spot for typewriter is always annoying, it really doesnt feel like every map has a good spot of it, if only you could deploy it on ground tiles...
Eyja was number 1 broken operator on release imo. People already rated her really high back in the day but in retrospect she was STILL underrated given what she could pull off. But Exu was definitely also a monster on release. She was such an easy carry and melted every enemy. For the few she couldn't warfarin + Exu was possibly the highest ST DPS in the game back then.
And fun fact this 3rd generation 4th generation is where everything blown your mind to no return: shu, zuo le, logos, Walter and soon Lappy alt... (We don't know what she can but broke or not she has so many fans to pull). The only good gen 3 ops if not best: mylnar and thyphon although some might consider good like federico (executalter), virtuosa, degen and ray but this just HG experiment.

This is a 2020 tier list. Of course it is all different now. I rip it from someone playing at the time. And it does indeed vary a lot because of the enemies development and the meta development
Savage may be worse than Specter, but putting her at the bottom is straight up wrong. She hits a lot harder than most operators on that list, and even now, she can still kill pretty much an entire map on her own if she has heals. And in IS mode, she synergizes with a LOT more relics than Specter does
some people actually simplified the game META in the dps term lmao the acronym said most effective tactic, and in arknight you got 13 slots im pretty sure you deploy mylnar, surtr and 2 broken frd + eyja alter you wont have problem 90% of the time to killing the enemies + sustain them but then its not all about damage, its how you enabling the 12/13 ops team to do that sure you got the most OP dps in the game, but you dont have dp or deploy slot then its mean nothing to offer, there goes flagpipe, most effective way to gain dp in first 10 sec you deploy the vg or how eyja alter is trivializing heal departement (both burst and elemental) also global range awooga, and some people may adding "you dont need block/heal if enemies are dead" probably that guy who use texalter/yato way too much mylnar is surely meta proven for awhile isnt he, this bloke have cheap cost, swing hard, can tank, have a taunt i wish hg release more event that cant be abused by "activate mylnar skill", more high deff enemies so that my ceobe can outshine this old man mf for once

Agreed, META is not about big red number but it's about how we can use that operators in any kind of situation. The synergy between trait, talents & skill, their stats and most importantly how they fulfill their class role is what make operator a META.
Arknights is a damage and offense orianted game. Defense and healing matters to nobody and is not a effective strategy unless it compliments a offensive kit. Eyja2 are faired high because they dont waste slots on multiple defensive utilitiesm

Streamlining the game with focusing on DPS will kill AK's gameplay. They can make supports broken but they should not make the DPS broken. Although, if there are DPS ops that are broken, it should be the Elite Operators. I don't even mind AH to be broken because in canon they are super soldiers.

Trauma stages made defensive operators extremely useful and balanced dps operators by not letting them kill every enemy as you had to wait a wave so it had a perfect balance of defense and offense going on. But they dropped it and everything is about damage now. Tanking DOES work but there is no stage in the game where tanking is the core meta and not damage. People use stalling or tanks to burst down enemies anyway so it still falls on the exact same thing. They should bring back trauma stages.
I think one of the greatest points in arknights is that most 6 stars are above what you would call average in other games Pozemka is strong, Typhon, Virtuosa, GG, Thorns and much more, it's hard to not find a use for an operator in this game
My new way of playing events, is to speed run to the boss stage, while ignoring the event mechanics. On the boss stage I'd just bring Texalter, Yato alter, Nearl alter, Surtr and Ines as my core, and try to beat the stage 1st try.
Honestly I dislike Reed alter for being so strong. She is such a cool character, but she is so goddamn powerful. Whenever I want to make a cool clear and I stumble upon Reed alter, I am like - Hell no Im not using that pyro maniac, that aint fun at all!
Wisadel might just be the strongest of them all: She has: SUPER big single target damage as well as aoe Short skill cd Still does amazing damage without skill (higher than rosmontis s3) Her summon thingy can literally tank a patriot spear Has camouflage Relatively reasonable dp cost Still useful for newbie
Mlynar definitely carried me since i e2d him couple months ago when i just started, and now got surtr from the current joint operation. My account looks good as a newer player and i won't be sad if both of them left the meta(if they ever will) cause i love their skill animations and surtr mythology in general
I feel like mlynar so far is the easiest to powercreep. I always found him boring aside from the funny dmg he deals when hit. Qiubai is one of my favorite ops for sure and i hate not having her on my cn.
qiubai can get really cracked if you put many supports around her, with her speeding up, some slower, binder and ptilopsis battery, she just freezes enemies in her range and does a lot of damage. Her s2 does really high damage too, she can even pierce patriot with her physical finish attack(which is 5000 damage) her s1 is not flashy, but is very useful in some is stages
Oh boy arknights meta didnt evolve with Wisadel. It litterally got to a whole new dimension. She is the undisputed best operator in the game right now. Its actually insane just how bad Chalter looks compared to her. I cant even believe im saying these words lmao
I don't quite understand the purpose of this video, so if my comment here is wrong you can pointed out at me: - Texas-Alter (& Kirin Yato) are in unique case of META. They are not META in case of damage, but in case of panick button. Yeah, Surtr, Młynar, Ch'en-Alter, etc. may have big damage & turned off your brain. But, what if... there are enemies who you "forgot exist" going into blue box & there is no way to kill/stop them with all the META you got? Before The Fast-Redeloys duo, the only good answer is Phantom S2 to *KILL* them, while his S3 & other fast-redeploy can only stall them. But these blue & red duo, while can kill them, stall them, & even kill flying enemies which all the other fast-redeploy can't do. If you play Plants vs Zombies, they are like the instant plant (Cherry Bomb, Jalapeno, Squash) that are must bring plants because they can kill the zombies if something went wrong
Panick buttons are nice, yet often times just having a good geometrical set up is enough on its own. The value of a fast redeploy skyrockets on a new account, as they can carry on multiple sides of the map, yet let it be known that most of the bosses nowadays just kill texalter and yato does no damage to them. Texalter for me lately has been reduced to 30% res debuff, which I only use because I dont have ifrit built yet. And yato is just so frustrating to watch against high defense, I cannot watch her do 0 damage.
Remember when you deployed texas and she instantly died DESPITE the damage reduction? Remember when texas alter barely didnt kill an elite and couldnt reactivate hee skill? Remember when the enemies are stun immune? I remember that too.
imo the strongest character in the game in global is Texalter now, yeah mlynar does more damage but i'm convinced that flexibility is what counts in 99% of the stages, and she has it all. But we all know the best character in the game is Angie. Prove me wrong
Texalter is a map controller and Mlynar is a sweeper. While map controllers are very useful in most stages, mlynar will be the difference maker for a lot of the players.
I still think that arknights is verry good at balancing compared to every other gacha it's a 5 year old game i mean look at saria Nightingale and eyja that are day one unites and with module silver ash is like 10% behind mylnar and he offer redeploy reduction and invis reveal I won't say he's better but still also s2 ;)
Utage can not be a meta operator, but, a really good boss melter (not the best), but, for a 4*, she's really good ( at my debut, she was my main dps, now, Blaze, thorn, ch'en detroy her).
Idk. Seems like Meta = Broken here but not really. Which op can melt and carry the stage in all or most situations. I also question the honourable mention list. I wasn't playing when Exusiai was at her peak. But she still melts aftet buffed. But putting her aside, the only one the rivals your other meta defining ops is Ch'alter. Texas and Yato cant because they can never be no brain deployments for the win. Amazing situational helidrops but that's it. I think Ines is a different list. Cause your list is just pewpewpew damage, lol. Ines is DP and utility. Myrtle was the meta defining operator for Vanguards and she still is. Myrtle simply wins for being a 4 Star. On the other hand, Saria is about to be dethroned for being the best Defender. 😅
I actually love using vigil, at times, yes, his summon can just die to some ranged enemy, but most of the time he is quite a crazy laneholder. Also according to my friends data he got a good module on cn.
This meta evolution focuses too much on dps-checking big bosses. There a lot of different meta defining operators that should be mentioned. Like Myrtle being the best dp generator (along with Bagpipe) Or Mountain being the go-to laneholder. Or Thorns.
That is true, yet there just isnt much going on around supporters in games. People like dps and big numbers, and thats where the main competition is focused. This is not to say supporter characters are bad or have 0 evolution, it just means that there arent many contestors for the meta spots.
bagpipe is only necessary for really tough content, in most content her impact isnt that huge. She was a must have unit for cc max dp down risk, yes. But also, if you arent doing dp down risks, you didnt really need her. So unless you are playing cc to its fullest with the best team(which actually depends on the cc a lot, best examples - cc12/cc9) I cant really say she is op. her solo impact is not that huge. She is squad size heavy and if you even decide to take her, usually youd bring at least 2 flagbearers around, which in most stages will just cap your dp anyways. Today, when Texas module is out Muelsyse and Ines are around, You dont need bagpipe at all, but I will admit, without having all the versetile options with good crowd control, stats and early dp gen before, you could very well justify picking bagpipe. But again, her main impact was in tough stages. In normal stages, her squad just takes up squad size you could use for something better.

Wait qiubai is meta? Many people said shes good but not op wich i would agree with (55sp for skill) kinda rng cuz of her talent, i still like her and she’s one of my favorites
Qiubai is very strong but it is complicated - all alone she is very weak in comparison to other units, but if you have a squad that is supporting her, she scales very well with atk buffs, slow debuffs and bind debuffs. And with buffs she outperforms every arts damage dealer on top of making the enemies stand still. Yet you need a squad of at least 3 units to unleash her potential with which she will probably destroy any boss. She can kill any boss, even with s resistance, just bring a texalter s2 or ifrit s3 and the boss is guaranteed to die. Not to mention, with ptilopsis, her skill sp cost drops to 40
@The158Outlaws qiubai is one of the those very balanced op in my opinion as her s3 does not start strong so you have to somewhat time it instead of it being a delete button.

Eyja's been widely acknowledged as the most broken and the most time-proof unit in the whole game, offering offensive potential that up to this day no other units have and staying in meta even nowadays. Before Surtr, peopel used to "just Eyja it" on any stage they have problems with. After Surtr, people still bring Eyja to deal with tough bosses. Even now, she's still the goat of afk clear teams.

I think uncle is a really really safe character to go full meta though, cause he really is a cool character and is hella badass. A lot of men also simp for him and want to be as cool as him. And you know, most meta units seem to be future proof in character design, yet Ive heard this is not so common on cn anymore, and meta characters now have looks for a minority of people. I havent seen them, but as soon as I will, I may judge myself.

Eyja's use is already replaced by GG, ceobe & reed alter lol GG for general content & content with buff such as sss or IS Ceobe mostly for advanced content with superbuffed enemies such as cc or dos Reed alter, one of the best arts dps with high hps & tons of utility such as -atk debuff & arts fragile. Also better aoe option to clear trash mob

Her s2 does really high damage too, she can even pierce patriot with her physical finish attack(which is 5000 damage) her s1 is not flashy, but is very useful in some is stages

I don't quite understand the purpose of this video, so if my comment here is wrong you can pointed out at me:
- Texas-Alter (& Kirin Yato) are in unique case of META. They are not META in case of damage, but in case of panick button. Yeah, Surtr, Młynar, Ch'en-Alter, etc. may have big damage & turned off your brain. But, what if... there are enemies who you "forgot exist" going into blue box & there is no way to kill/stop them with all the META you got?
Before The Fast-Redeloys duo, the only good answer is Phantom S2 to *KILL* them, while his S3 & other fast-redeploy can only stall them. But these blue & red duo, while can kill them, stall them, & even kill flying enemies which all the other fast-redeploy can't do. If you play Plants vs Zombies, they are like the instant plant (Cherry Bomb, Jalapeno, Squash) that are must bring plants because they can kill the zombies if something went wrong
Panick buttons are nice, yet often times just having a good geometrical set up is enough on its own. The value of a fast redeploy skyrockets on a new account, as they can carry on multiple sides of the map, yet let it be known that most of the bosses nowadays just kill texalter and yato does no damage to them. Texalter for me lately has been reduced to 30% res debuff, which I only use because I dont have ifrit built yet. And yato is just so frustrating to watch against high defense, I cannot watch her do 0 damage.
Both yato and texas are meta in damage too

imo the strongest character in the game in global is Texalter now, yeah mlynar does more damage but i'm convinced that flexibility is what counts in 99% of the stages, and she has it all.

Texalter is a map controller and Mlynar is a sweeper. While map controllers are very useful in most stages, mlynar will be the difference maker for a lot of the players.

Utage can not be a meta operator, but, a really good boss melter (not the best), but, for a 4*, she's really good ( at my debut, she was my main dps, now, Blaze, thorn, ch'en detroy her).
Another one would be Degen, Shu and Wisdel.

Nah, I use Texalter and Yato alter to solo DPS most event bosses, it's so easy and brain-dead.

I actually love using vigil, at times, yes, his summon can just die to some ranged enemy, but most of the time he is quite a crazy laneholder. Also according to my friends data he got a good module on cn.

This meta evolution focuses too much on dps-checking big bosses.
There a lot of different meta defining operators that should be mentioned.
Like Myrtle being the best dp generator (along with Bagpipe)
Or Mountain being the go-to laneholder.
Or Thorns.
That is true, yet there just isnt much going on around supporters in games. People like dps and big numbers, and thats where the main competition is focused. This is not to say supporter characters are bad or have 0 evolution, it just means that there arent many contestors for the meta spots.

bagpipe is only necessary for really tough content, in most content her impact isnt that huge. She was a must have unit for cc max dp down risk, yes. But also, if you arent doing dp down risks, you didnt really need her. So unless you are playing cc to its fullest with the best team(which actually depends on the cc a lot, best examples - cc12/cc9) I cant really say she is op. her solo impact is not that huge. She is squad size heavy and if you even decide to take her, usually youd bring at least 2 flagbearers around, which in most stages will just cap your dp anyways. Today, when Texas module is out Muelsyse and Ines are around, You dont need bagpipe at all, but I will admit, without having all the versetile options with good crowd control, stats and early dp gen before, you could very well justify picking bagpipe. But again, her main impact was in tough stages. In normal stages, her squad just takes up squad size you could use for something better.

Qiubai is very strong but it is complicated - all alone she is very weak in comparison to other units, but if you have a squad that is supporting her, she scales very well with atk buffs, slow debuffs and bind debuffs. And with buffs she outperforms every arts damage dealer on top of making the enemies stand still. Yet you need a squad of at least 3 units to unleash her potential with which she will probably destroy any boss. She can kill any boss, even with s resistance, just bring a texalter s2 or ifrit s3 and the boss is guaranteed to die. Not to mention, with ptilopsis, her skill sp cost drops to 40
@The158Outlaws qiubai is one of the those very balanced op in my opinion as her s3 does not start strong so you have to somewhat time it instead of it being a delete button.

Eyja's been widely acknowledged as the most broken and the most time-proof unit in the whole game, offering offensive potential that up to this day no other units have and staying in meta even nowadays. Before Surtr, peopel used to "just Eyja it" on any stage they have problems with. After Surtr, people still bring Eyja to deal with tough bosses. Even now, she's still the goat of afk clear teams.

I cannot agree more my friend, every showrun have uncle now its just "must have" its a lame, and CN players are all about it, so HG will keep rising the level to "make harder" so those braindead player can enjoy, buuut if you dont like he you basically out of high content
I think uncle is a really really safe character to go full meta though, cause he really is a cool character and is hella badass. A lot of men also simp for him and want to be as cool as him. And you know, most meta units seem to be future proof in character design, yet Ive heard this is not so common on cn anymore, and meta characters now have looks for a minority of people. I havent seen them, but as soon as I will, I may judge myself.

Ceobe mostly for advanced content with superbuffed enemies such as cc or dos
Reed alter, one of the best arts dps with high hps & tons of utility such as -atk debuff & arts fragile. Also better aoe option to clear trash mob
