First of all, I would like to let you know that you are an excellent communicator! You speak in such a very articulate way, your voice is so pleasant, and you are so captivating. Thank you very much for your recommendations. You made a very compelling case!
I think when most people are looking for Chinese authors, they're looking for the cultural experience in their writing. Ling Ma is an American Chinese author. She came to the states as a small child. She grew up in Utah, Nebraska, and Kansas. I'd maybe say where the authors were born and raised. I know I was looking for different Japanese authors, and someone recommended Kazuo Ishiguro, which was born in Japan, and moved to England when he was 5 years old. So, he's a British writer. I was a little disappointed when I found out afterwards, because I was craving a cultural Japanese experience... Just throwing that out there. Thanks for the recommendations. :)
I'm late to the party, looking forward to getting to The Three Body Problem though! And I read The Art of War back in the day, although it's been a while!
