Panasonic invested more on lenses, their glasses are best amongst the rest with sharp image quality thanks broe for sharing these video I'm looking forward to save money for Panasonic Lumix S PRO 50mm f/1.4 Lens.
I just unboxed this lens. The manual focus pull has a slight resistance to it, which is making it hard to fine tune pulls. Did your lens feel smooth as butter? Would it be worth bringing it up to Panasonic?
It has resistance, otherwise it’d be too easy to move. Resistance let’s you move it precisely. But if you feel it’s not right, you’ll need to compare to another to see if it’s your copy or all of them that are like that. Mine feels good to me.
Just had a bit of an issue with my new 50mm lens. The manual clutch stuck at 5m and wouldn’t allow the lens to focus, all the AF and electronic focus worked fine. Got it sorted now though….
I had a play with S1R and thus lens... And OMG. the bokeh. And SOOOOOO insanely sharp. The resolution on the S1R make this phenomenal. Absolutely worth it. Zeiss otus quality if not better!
The lens is yuuuuuuge… but it's amazeballs. If you're buying an S1 or S1R, will you get the 50/1.4?
MC-21 + ART50mm for the moment ;)

Would be nice to see comparison between this lens, Sony 50mm f 1.4, Canon 50mm f 1.2 (at 1.4) and upcoming Nikon 50mm f 1.2 (at 1.4)

BH is replacing it, seems that it’s a manufacture flaw.
Andrew Gayda ok good to know, thanks.

Oh no! Did it have to get repaired, or was it something you could fix?

Nice 6,000 USD combo with the S1R and the $2,300 lens.
The lens is great, no question but I will never have so much money left to buy one. 😉
just one point

correction

Interesting. I wondered, now I know. Reference lens. Word up.
Yesss 😁
I love how PhotoJoseph introduced this video... 'Now we're going to FOCUS on this lens.' Was that in the script? Ha ha.
What script? Someone wrote me a script?! 😂
