Tim, I'm binging your videos at the moment haha, and came across this one.. I did Burgoynes at Easter this year.. I arrived at the start of this track at midnight with a mate of mine.. Time escaped us and we didn't get there as early as we would have liked.. Anyway... I clearly recall the climb at 7:30 in the video. I'm not sure if your smile and relaxed look is your game face haha, but I remember being quite terrified climbing that hill. We finally got to camp along the river and noticed that I didn't have my rear locker in the entire time!! We did it again during the day REAR LOCKER ENGAGED!! and was a hell of a lot of fun.. Thanks for bringing back the memories, need to get back there soon. Cheers James
G'day James, Mate, it is a great track to drive during the day. Lol Not sure its a good track for at night as you found out. Having the rear locked makes a big difference on a track like that one. It's one fun track to drive from one end to the other. Thanks mate for your reply and feedback. Glad you enjoyed the video after your experience. Lol Cheers Tim
Gday mate, Thanks for watching that High Country episode. Greatly appreciate the feed back. It is well worth exploring that country when you can. Cheers Batesy.
Another superb video Tim. Some of the tracks looked so narrow. What would you have done if someone was coming from the opposite direction ? Do you have 33”s or 35”s ?
G'day George, Thanks heaps mate for your feedback, it was a great trip that one. Yeah for sure mate, some of those tracks are very tight, and would be a challenge if another 4WD came the other way. It's one of those things, where you would need to work out a plan either with your group, and also chat with the vehicles coming towards you. With any luck, they may have see a spot back up the track that they could reverse back to. Im running 33's mate as i have always run that size tyre. , they are plenty big enough. Thanks again mate. Cheers Tim.
Gday mate. That’s totally your call. Towing anything on Burgoyne Track isn’t something I’d be taking on. Steep country Would test out the electric brakes that’s for sure. Then if a group come towards you , that could get dangerous. Swag it would be the go. Hope that helps mate. Cheers Tim
G'day mate, No, not all the vehicles in the convoy had lockers. The 4wds that did where, mine front and rear, the 70 Series Ute front and rear, the red lifted GQ front and rear, the D40 Navara just rear. The other 4wds had no lockers at all. But, everyone had a great deal of Offroad experience with driving the weekends tracks. Clearance is a must and just pick your lines correctly and you should get through. Thanks for your question mate. Cheers Batesy.
Daegel I have a 2012 DI-D Pajero 2.5 inch lift, front & rear diff locks, 32.6 inch tyres. I've done that trip & didn't use the lockes. Like Tim said pick your line's take your time & you'll b fine. 2.5 inch lift is the minimum lift u should have & good quality tyres r a must.
Love watching these old videos
Great trip that one mate.
Thanks for your feedback.
Cheers Tim
Tough track, cool rigs, fun with mates, doesn’t get much better 👍👍

Fantastic stuff Tim! As a Mansfield resident I get inspired by your videos to get out and about a bit more!!!
Thanks Greg, I appreciate your comments mate.
Mansfield is a great part of the High Country, with plenty of huts to see.
The River crossing looked quite low 😊 . . . Great Tracks, great Video
It was a lot lower in the video compared to on the weekend.
Cheers Tim.

Hey Tim what’s your thoughts on towing a little camper from west Burgoyne to morning glory
Thanks

Hi Tim, looking at staying at Burgoyne hut. Is there a drop toilet there?
G'day mate,
If you mean Morning Glory Hut.
No that one doesn't have any drop toilets mate.
Great fun track though. Lol
Cheers Tim.
@@timbates4wdadventures Yeah, morning glory. Thanks mate.
@@deanbritton7436 No worries mate.
Hey Tim quick question did all the other drivers have lockers. Is it achievable with out lockers? I have heaps of clearance but no lockers.
