what do i need to connect my pre sonus eris 3.5 to an m audio m track solo
What about KRK SPEAKERS
Watching Edward getting bigger and better🥺🥺 is the only thing, which I feel blessed about! ❤️❤️. First comment yayyyy!
Thank you so much!!! 🙏🏼
@@EdwardSmithMusic I already get that one on my studio but how I’m gonna mixing the music to use usb 96
THIS IS SO INFORMATIVE. Thankyou so much. Love from India.
2:44 This made no sense. Did you make a mistake or something???? cuz you said and are holding trs/rca cable but then you showed connecting rca to rca 🤔🤔 and then you showed trs cable was actually plugged in 3:49, this had to be a video edit error.
Exactly, this whole video makes no sense!
I'm so confused 👀😵💫😵💫
Thanks bruhhh
❤️❤️
The reason between the different cables are due to durability issues, and load, and insulation(none of which these tiny room setups have a reason to worry about)nothing else. If you go with RCA type connectors, use GOOD ONES! Don't use cheap think junk, it's pretty intuitive as to what I mean by good when you start to compare them. Quite a few higher end RCA type cables use gold plated connectors.
Thank you for the tutorial! Helped me a lot to understand it
Awesome!!
Love you Eddy Boy….
Daft thing but thanks to you l am now listening to a track l have been putting together tonight through my HS5’s…..
Very blonde and old enough to be your Nan lol xxx Never give up flying your dreams…. 😘
Your channel has been a big help, thanks
Thank you for this video. Have not set up my presonus in years. You made it easy to understand. Thanks
Awesome! Glad I could help 👌🏼
I like the TRS to TRS connection for the Erie e3.5’s.
Quick question, what’s the best way to connect each monitor speaker to the other one, phone rca or something else?
Hey thanks soo soo soo much for all the great content u create on music and audio for spclyyy beginners... Have been following u so much.. 😋😊
wow ok... i just got some Samson MediaOne M50s that i got a lot of recommendations for and was said to be equivalent or better than the KRK Rokits but it only has RCA inputs and my Focusrite Scarlet 2i2 interface has TRC outputs...😩help
You are going to need to get RCA to TRS cables.
@@EdwardSmithMusic I also have the scarlett 2i2, but with the Presonus E3.5. Would I need TRC or RCA?
@@hmstopmotionz i just got the e3.5’s and i also have a 2i2. did you figure out which cable you needed? pls lmk that would be helpful
@@ronisimhoni1393 I actually ended up using the cable that comes with the monitors- you will need to buy a screw- like object to go on the end of the cable, and then you'll be able to plug it directly into the headphone input on the interface
@@hmstopmotionz Okay, thanks for the quick reply!
Can you give the exact size for the balanced cable? 6.35mm 1/4 or 6.3mm 1/4??
Thank you for sharing this mate!! I was looking for a video that had the links to get the gear from Amazon and yours was it!! You saved me a lot of time AND aggravation! haha 😂😂😂
Glad I could help! Thanks so much for watching!!
What about xlr to balanced ports, is it possible?
Aw man I just wanted some cool speakers for my desktop... I didn't know I needed all this extra stuff. I usually connect my old speakers with 1 cable to the back of my pc.
Yeah but when it's all set up you'll have awesome audio
Excellent!!! Just what I needed to know...
Glad I could help 👌🏻
But how do you do a 3.5mm TRS out to 1/4" TRS ins (balanced) when all the cables on the market are 3.5mm TRS to 1/4" TS (unbalanced)?
Is there a cable that goes from 3.5mm balanced to a left and right 1/4" TRS? I can't find one anywhere. Does some sort of splitter accomplish this?
Thanks for all the info man, keep it coming 👍
bro ur bckgrnd LIGHT colour very fine.. love it.. keep helping

Bro thank youuuuu...... I always wanted to know how to connect a monitor to interface

Can the Presonus Eris E3.5 be connected to the Behringer UM2 in anyway?
Thank you so much, I was struggling to find the right cord
You are welcome! I have the cables linked in the description if it helps 👍
Im soooooo early! Great vid 🙏👍
Thanks for watching!! 🙏🏼
TRC is like Jack cable?
Yep 👌🏻
Hey Edward.. then how can we connect right monitor to the left one?
You connect them using a black and red cable provided with the speakers.
Thank you! Very helpful
Do your monitors sound better when you connect them with TRS cables instead of RCA?
Yes, TRS is definitely better 👌🏼
Thx dude
Thanks for watching!!
make tips for sound absorption DIY panels.. PLZ PLZ.. for low budget and remote areas
I will see what I can do 👌🏼
So do you need 2 cables to connect the monitors to the interface ?
Yes, 2 balanced TRS cables.
thanks bro i couldnt figure out
Glad I could help!
3:20 you plug RCA cables into NI and then RCA into Studio Monitors. You had TRS to RCA Cable is the scene before. Can we use the TRS ports on Speakers coming from RCA or do we need RCA to RCA cables on both ends?
The only reason I connected with RCA is because these monitors have those connections... other monitors do not!
@@EdwardSmithMusic didnt really answer Dereks question though.
Can I Use an "RCA to RCA cable " to connect it to my interface ? like the M audio AV30
Can you use regular speakers as monitors????
Is it too bad for me if using directly to my pc with a cable mini jack -> TRS ?
awesome vid bro
Thanks for watching!!
hi, I wanted to know how should i conect my monitors if i got guitar plug ins. i wonder bcs since the plug in is in the computer i think that if it conect the monitors to the interface i wont get the plug in sound. is this correct?
i have an Focusrite Solo interface btw (its got those wierd inputs only) and Presonus e3.5
i bought an extra cable . 2 TRS (with one cut) to 3.5 jack (auidio card) . Should i expect better quality or use the classic connection??
Is it still ok to connect the Y cable type a 1/8 inch stereo headphone jack at one end for PC/CP and then split into two RCA red & white to monitor like 3.5? Can i get the same sound quality like the balanced? Im using FL. Hope you can help me. Thanks
Where do i find the black & res cables that connect both monitors together for the power supply? I bought the monitors with the cables
Those cables come with the speakers!
is the studio one built into the PreSonus audiobox 96 interfaces??
Do I need a Audio Interface for my DJ Controller?does it have any benefit?thanx
Whoa!!! You forgot to connect the USB interface to a computer!!! :) I tried an experiment just now. I now have an Audient EVO 8. It has two sets of Line Level Outs to connect to a PA speaker /Studio monitor (or headset but if a headset is plugged in, you don't get audio from the line out; which is why it provides two such outs). I powered it with a USB power source. The Mic input showed the LEDs lighting up as I spoke, but I could not hear a word on my headphones! I guess the headphone out needs a computer! Ah, well! The UK-made EVO 8 is very satisfactory as far as I'm concerned.
what about if i get dual trs and 1/4 and connect on the front on the headphones?
What cables will I need, to connect Scarlett 2i2 to my coming Eris E5 Xt’s, please?

Hey Bro great video… I’ve the presonus usb 96 but I’ve 2 studio monitors Krk 5. My question is how can I connect the 2 monitors with the interface ? Thanks
Question. I just bought Yamahas HS5’s. I plugged balanced cables into my volt one interface. The levels on my monitors are set to 15%. But now I barely touch the monitor on my interface and they blare? They didn’t do that with unbalanced cables?
Why can’t you post the nice cool teal ones you use…? where did you get the teal cables
Can I use M Audio Speakers on this audiobox?
My question is :
Trs unbalanced into balanced entry of the speaker to rca unbalanced into audio interface ?
Or rca unbalanced speaker to rca unbalanced audio interface?
Hello there. Do you have an in depth video explaining how to install a akai mpk mini, presonus usb96 w/monitors and all software installs/usage pertaining to Studio One 5?
How do I hook up PC computer to the Studio monitors.
WHAT CARBLE DO I NEED TO CONNECT
how to connect focusrite solo to presonus eris e3
I bring them back two times. I was listening music when after a bad noise the monitor died. Two times. In your opinion what should I do?
It was very helpfull
Awesome, thanks for watching!! 🙏🏼
@@EdwardSmithMusic always bro❤️
why do my ones have an annoying hiss sound when i have them on. balanced trs cables and everything
So I have a Presonus Audiobox uSB Interface. Do the speakers I need have to be powered?
Yes they have to be powered (active).
can you hook them directly to PC?
Yes, you can via AUX
@@EdwardSmithMusic thanks
@@EdwardSmithMusic did you maybe tried it? i tried it now and have only crackling sound
Hello Edward, would the presonus audio box be recognised as a sound card in window's audio devices?
Yes it will
In the Audiobox interface, am I able to connect 4 monitors?
Can I connect a set of non-studio speakers (they just have + - cable input) to the TRS input of my Audiobox 96? I'm having a tough time figuring out which cable or adapter would work best.
You need to connect active speakers to your audio interface... speaker that have their own power.
मेरे पास studio monitor micca MB42 वाला है तो डारेक्ट sunod card से कनेक्ट हो जाएगा या कोई एमरीफाईल लानी पडेगी
do speakers come with cables?
No, unfortunately not.
Thank to Infomation
Glad I could help 👌🏻
@@EdwardSmithMusic Thank ...I want Buy one...Budget Price This Moniter is god...
Where I found the balance trs to rca cables?.,
I have them linked in the description below 👍
can i connect rca to rca, or could this cause speaker problems?
Hi Edward would the same trs to rca cable work if my monitors are rca and the interface is trs, as i have Presonus 96 trs and pioneer dm 40 monitors which are rca, new to the home studio setup cheers
This video doesn't show the entire process.....the speakers need a power cable and the speakers need to be wired together......I learned this from a properly explained video.
The speakers come with a power cable (and it's kinda obvious!)... the way I do it in this video is perfect! I've been doing this for many years mate!
@@EdwardSmithMusic
The interface is powered through the computer so it's not far fetched to think that the speakers will also receive power this way......and what about the fact that you need to wire the speakers together?.....I guess that's obvious too.
All you said here is get two balanced trs cables and plug them in....lol.
Just admit it, you're instructions are lacking......mate.
Hi, I have a problem when I connect my audio interface to my PC. It generates a lot of noise, like electrical interference, which is very annoying and prevents me from making clean recordings. I am using the AUDIOBOX USB 96 interface and the RODE PODMIC dynamic microphone, but nothing I do seems to work. Thanks and regards.
Thank you!
Thank you for watching!
I have PreSonus Eris E3.5 nearfield monitors running through a Scarlett 2i2 intertace. I'm using TRS cables but only getting sound from the left speaker. What could be the problem???
Just bought the E4.5 and same thing is happing to me except not getting sound from the right ?
Why people recommend e3.5 for music production while it doesn't cover the low end frequencies?
I don’t recommend them at all... I just used them as an example for this video.
can you connect it to an amp tho ?
hi edward smith i have a burning question, can you use ammoon 4 ch pro audio mixer with M-audio M-track duo and connect to a 1 presonus E5 studio speaker (it has 1 TRS input) and if so how? ...Thanks Help PLS
I’m interested in studio one
Presonus usb 96
It’s a good USB audio interface 👌🏼
@@EdwardSmithMusic 🔥💥💯🤴
@@EdwardSmithMusic still trying to get my head phones n speakers then I’d start up my studio
Still a newbie but I have a dream to produce music
Wait
..so. i want to buy a m audio solo .and it has the rca connection at the back...and monitors are eris 3.5..which have rca and balanced connection on them ..my question is on the audio interface i connect the RCA and on the speaker i connect what the trs or the rca? Because I see in the video you plugin in the rca holes not the trs...hmm
I can't see well because of your hands. But I think you plugged them into the rca ( on the monitor) and not the balanced trs. I am confused seriously
You can do either RCA to RCA, or TRS to TRS, or RCA to TRS... they should all work!
@@EdwardSmithMusic thanks 😊
Hi. I have a presonus audiobox usb 96 and presonus speakers which all came with the microphone and headsets and i am struggling to switch between listening from a speakers to speakers. It didn't come with the TRS cabbles you mentioned could that be the problem or am i just not doing it right. please help xx im a beginner
If i plug 1 trs cable from the presonus audiobox to the presounus 3.5 active speaker and connect the 2nd trs cable to a yamaha hs 5 will it work? I mean I want to use a single presonus 3.5 on one side and one yamaha speaker on the other side, using them as pairs. Can it be done?
But I can't seem to get sound out of my PC speakers or record through the pc. That's my issue. I don't have the special speakers. I just want to direct record from guitar through effects pedal to PC. No special speakers
So the monitors don’t come with the cables?
Not to connect to audio interface, no.
How to simultaneously control two JBL 305p MKII's volume without an audio interface?
Not sure you can without an audio interface 👀
so we need the dual trs cable?
You just need 2 TRS cables for audio interface connection.
I heard that the presonus speakers only sound good with an audio interface. Is that correct? I have a motu m2. I guess it would do the job. Still looking for some good speakers for video editing (only voice like interviews and talking head)
How do they sound with an audio interface vs aux
I have komplete audio 1 and used rca to xlr (using krk 5) but i dont seem to get any sound out. Any tips?
does their diffrence with and without audio interface
They sound better with an interface
Only if you want to record audio. Audio interface is an analogue digital converter
You can use asio 4 all if you only work with vst's
Does anyone know if you can connect it on a goxlr mini or just in the back of the pc?
I have the presonus audiobox, but my speakers are the typical aux cable. I got two balanced stereo jacks so that I could plug them into the audio box, but I'm not getting sound when playing from my DAW. Do you know how I can test to see if they work?
You might have to connect them to the headphone input unfortunately...
@@EdwardSmithMusic thanks for trying! I just found the answer on Reddit - the there’s no amplifier (the mixer is a preamp and the speakers didn’t have amp built in)
EDIT: thanks for the video by the way!
Hilarious that this entire industry depends on making things so complex that we need videos like this and thousands of people waste time figuring what interface and cables work with which products We need someone smart like Apple simplified things in the computer industry. We still have idiots in the speaker industry that makes things overly complicated so they can overcharge for cables.
Curiosity is the most important :) There’s real advantages for using balanced signals (especially if you’re using long cables or if you have a bunch of electronics that could interfere with your signal), stuff that implements it is more expensive, but I think it works as such for any technical field ( a guitarist will tell you why using string A or B is better for that or that reason, a gamer will tell you keyboard X or Y is better for such or such reason ) in the end we’re all relatively engineers trying to find what will fit our projects/ideas the best considering most factors (mostly the price tho haha)
We live at a time in which technics have gone to immense complexity, but we have beautiful ressources to get informed for it, sometimes you have to search it quite intensely but you’ll almost always find the right explanations (there’s lots of gems on UA-cam)
You’ll always be better off doing stuff yourself and/or understanding it directly :)
And in some cases when you don’t find what you’re looking for, creating your own way is possibly one of the greatest achievements humans can do (no matter the scale)
As someone who recently struggled with learning audio systems, I am now so grateful for pushing the curiosity further and it always opened the field of possibilities of expressing ideas into reality :)
Wish you the best of curiosities ! and if I can help anyhow I’d be glad to ;)
I like the south african accent
Cool bruh
Audio interfaces with RCA outs.... Today? Really?
TRS or XLR outs only.... with hundreds of solutions in today's market....
I don't recommend RCA outs for ANY reason.... For home-studio purposes..... Humble opinion.
I absolutely agree!! RCA is terrible!!
Lol and how tf do i connect Aux to this RCa???Thx Presonus for not giving me the necessary Stuff
