Yes I absolutely charge money for my video production services. However, I only offer video opportunities to my favorite brands and products. I also usually include audio examples and demonstrations for you to formulate your own opinions instead of just blindly agreeing with a puppet on the internet
Nice. For the Mac mini (hopefully the M4 pro version) stress test, please give details as to 1. The sample rate used when testing, and buffer size. 2. Please use CPU heavy plugins. Serum, Nexus 4, Massive, Kontakt, etc. Fx Izotope, Slate, Softube tape/Ikmultimedia tape, Xvoxpro, etc etc. Mostly 3rd party and not stock plugins, as that's how most of us use daws. Also mention oversampling where possible. We want to see how this would handle a 50 - 60 track project with 3rd party plugins, synths, busses, and a master chain all at once.
Yes I seriously left specifically because of no search bar. Would you want to manually mouse thru this massive menu all day every day?? 2:45 for people with only a small collection of 3rd party VSTs it’s no problem but every new plugin purchase made Logic’s menu bigger and slower to navigate… until 2024 update 😊
just got the same M4 Macbook pro and specs. Love it. Upgraded from same spec M1. I can't believe the night and day difference with the M4, wow. so happy. :)
Hey boss, please review the ram and ssd sizes and compare what different kind of artists might need since the upgrade prices are so insane. In the new Mac’s of course.
If you don’t plan on making money or starting a business with your music work, save your money and get a PC. If you have clients, deadlines, collaborators, or high pressure work situations get a Mac. I personally think manually “building” any computer sounds like a nightmare and waste of valuable time, but I know many people enjoy computer science projects
Hey Reid, do you use the Rosetta versions of your production apps OR the native versions? I've noticed a significant drop in performance when using the Rosetta versions (as I would expect)...
My best purchases have been the UAD avalon the UAD fairchild and Soundtoys super plate hopefully i can buy either the reason 13 upgrade or the soundtoys 5 bundle before the year ends all of these are super high quality softwares
Reid, I’m thinking about moving to Vegas. I see all the houses are so close to each other, like you can reach out your window and touch your neighbors house. Do you have any issues with sound isolation (hearing neighbors, dogs, traffic, etc.) there? Did you soundproof your rooms/house?
Hi Reid! PLEASE HELP ME WHIT MY CONCERN! Im gonna upgrade my focursrite, ive seen a lot of videos than prefer MT48 over Apollo 4X, but if in correct you recomend Apollo over Mt48? Why? A always watch your videos, help me with this one🙏🏼
Get Apollo if you want the best software and graphic user experience. Get MT48 if you want the best sound quality, but also have the patience for Neumann’s slower uglier graphics and user experience. The best choice depends what you personally value more.
Amazing video, but please, don't take it as a hate speech, I really don't like the puppet concept, I would love to see your face and your identity overall I have to add the following, I was doing a deep research in Macbooks with M3/4 Max Chips, to find out why the macOS competition is so hyped. What I found out is that the M4 Max is NOT the best option for the bucks in terms of power, yes it is in terms of battery and power consumption, but the money you pay to apple (as usual) is way too much compared what AMD for example have to offer. Just go for a Desktop computer in your studio, You won't leave that cave with your monitors and interface on the go... get a decent windows laptop for half the price so you can do your minimal work when you are moving..
Antelope audio also offer real-time autotune and real-time in line DSP... figured I'd say that here since the video implies uad is the only interface vendor offering real-time dsp...
I’d love to try Antelope products and possibly figure out why they’re so much less popular than UAD considering they claim better sound quality and similar DSP features. Hopefully they can send me one to test on camera soon
Random question: But have you ever been afraid that your cat might damage the membrane of your monitor speakers with their claws? I also have two house cats (though more like hardstyle cats in my case haha), and so far they haven’t come up with the idea, but I’m always afraid it might happen someday... I also really wonder what has kept them from doing it so far, because they scratch literally everything they find (and yes, I have plenty of scratching posts placed everywhere xD).
I use it for vocal sessions not beat making. 👍 Also I didn’t include their 2024 updates in this video because they were insignificant compared to other DAWs
"Like a Pro" using Orion? This plugin sounds mediocre. Even in this demo the low end sounded muddy and low quality. If you want best quality use machine learning.
I’d rather trust plugins by engineer who is cranking out hits daily, rather than a machine’s learning algorithm that was coded by a random person who’s never touched a hit in their life
@@ReidStefanMusicmachine learning is not an algo plugin code. You can trust whoever you want. That does not make poor quality any better. Orion sounds objectively bad. The engineer might mix hits but that doesn't make a bad plugin good. We will speak in a few weeks when GENESIS will be released and Jaycen uses machine learning profiles because it's the real deal. Edit: Orion is coded so bad that it's eating over 10% on a Macbook M2 Pro. Crap.
@@ReidStefanMusic lol, im not saying the gear isn't real or that you dont use it...I'm talking about the puppet, lol..I can't stop picturing you hiding from the camera with your hand in the puppet lmao

I personally disagree with recommending any Beyerdynamic headphone. Mainly due to the fact that they have poor treble accuracy and also suffer from wide unit variation - so from a "studio" perspective they are far from ideal. The only thing they have going for them is build quality.
You've been paid by so many of them it's hard to trust your list, unfortunately
Exactly, real ones know that the new apollos for the price are a joke and not really a upgrade

Somebody already did a stress test comparison on all DAWs with M4 & M4 pro vs old M models ua-cam.com/video/sUcIO18W3oE/v-deo.html
Looking forward to the full Pro-Q 4 video!
Great video!
Thank you! I’ve been collecting this footage all year 😊
Very inspiting and informative, can't wait for the mac reviews. Go Stefan!
Thanks for your patience! Both my channel and KARRA’s have dedicated videos about each Mac coming up next month 🔥

already got apollo solo usb. Do the apollo twin x sounds better than solo in mic input and headphone output or do they sounds the same
The difference between Apollo Twin and Solo should simply be DSP power for more plugins running simultaneously

I didn’t believe it until I felt the speed difference. M4 Max is a beast

Thanks, sounds really beautiful! Waiting ♥️ Peace!
This is awesome
Amazing video love everything covered in this one ☝️ what a great year for audio production 🎉
We are literally spoiled with amazing options at every price level
Didn't Cubase 14 also come out. I use both Studio One 7 and Cubase 14. Love both for different reasons.
I don’t follow cubase updates however I have attempted to use the DAW a couple times before. It seems solid
Very nice Music Gear of the Year stuff. Maybe I can get those stuff soon in the Future.
You can't go wrong with any of the products in this list 🔥
Great video master of puppets! 💪

Las Vegas Homes built in the 1990s are further apart than homes built in the past 15 years. Avoid brand new neighborhoods even tho it’s tempting
👍, curious how much ram you specced out the M4 Max with ?, have you EVER beachballed your prior machine ?
The M4 Mac Mini is fully loaded and spec’d out. Its not the cheapest $699 model, its the most expensive configuration I’ll be testing
What do u think about the UAD top line vocal suite plugin?
It’s a good all-in-one vocal chain, and good autotune alternative
