I had no friends and no boyfriends. I felt like an alien in this very cruel world. I like watching your videos because of your kindness, beauty and your soft voice. You are one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen, this includes models and celebrities. You are blessed to have so much love in your life.

You are so very kind. I appreciate that so much. Those days can be cruel ones. I had a group of friends that I liked, not necessarily the "popular" ones, but we had each other's backs. But man did I want a boyfriend. Glad those days are over. Thank you!!! Love, Melissa

I agree! You make me feel like maybe I will be ok! I don’t have any friends except friends from years ago and I never see them anymore except on Facebook. I have let myself go especially the past year cause I had to go back to work last year cause I was homeless due to husband losing his job and our house was part of his job..so I have a shed home I’m renting to own behind my son and daughter-in-law and having to work to pay for it… I call myself Reconstructing Leslie cause I’ve had 5 spinal surgeries 4 Surgeries in past few years..so now I’m hoping to do something about my appearance. You’re absolutely beautiful inside and out! I love Little Poet too…, I will check out the other channels you mentioned too!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I can so relate to this tag, I learned accidentally as a young girl that my mother wanted to send me away. This led to low self esteem & feeling very unworthy of being loved. Into my teens I had had few friends but was always on the outside looking in, no boyfriends & desperately wanted to be loved , accepted & popular. I have struggled with this into my adulthood. I’d tell my 20 yr old self “ you are enough & worthy of love”. Ahh the music of the 80’s, it still lives on today because of it’s greatness. I will age with grace,I’ve earned everyone of these wrinkles. Thank you for this beautiful video .Have a wonderful day❤

      @Melissa55  Рік тому +2

Oh Mitzi. I'm so very sorry for this. What a terrible thing for a little girl to find out. Those teen years can be so hard. I love watching reaction videos when young people listen to older music for the first time. They are always surprised how talented everyone is. Thank you and please take care. 💞💞💞

You know what most people have a nasty memory my mum was jealous of me when I hit 15 she went all funny she never told me I looked nice it took me years to realise she didn't like me much she even lied to my dad about me and, told him I hated him if I could tell my 20 year old self anything it would be leave home cut contact with you parents and get your own life my mum ruined my life with her nastiness she died in 2013 all I could think was, what a, waste of her life to leave behind so much resentment 🙏

My favorite age 50 and beyond women on UA-cam are the natural ones. Women who are not all pulled and botoxed and filled. It’s not pretty at all. Not on Celebrities either. Very unnatural looking. It gives off the impression you are insecure and trying too hard to be young. Our expressions should be alive when we laugh, worry, smile, get mad, surprised, etc! Laugh lines. Smile lines. We’ve lived this far! That’s beauty too! So I appreciate your face still being your face whatever the reason! If this offends someone I don’t care. It’s just my opinion! 😃

hi Melissa, I can so relate to wanting to be loved, I’m 68 soon to be 69, my dad divorced my mom when I was eight, I’m the youngest of 3 kids. Back in that time it was a taboo to having divorced parents, my mom was the oldest girl out of 12 kids, she only got to go to 3rd grade but was pulled out of school to help with the other siblings. She never remarried and worked at a dry cleaners as a presser, she devoted herself to us. We were excluded out of a lot of family gatherings because of my mom being divorced. My grandmother and grandfather moved the 4 of us to live with them, my father paid no child support and we rarely saw him, he was an abusive man. I guess growing up that way made me very shy, very few friends and I guess I was looking to be loved, never thought I would ever get married so I eloped with the first guy who asked me, I was 18 and had my daughter at 19, stayed married for 8 hrs then I divorced him, I figured I was better off being alone and lonely than being with someone I didn’t love. I was single for 6 yrs then met my soulmate and best friend been together for 35 years. My mom passed away 9 hrs ago at 90, miss her everyday.❤

Melissa, I'm with you on facelifts -- one can never be sure what one can end up looking like. i also relate to you when you mention chronic illness. I also have a chronic illness and having to recover from other procedures on top of the chronic illness is so very hard. We have very similar taste in music!
One day in the 90's my husband and I were taking a walk thru our neighborhood on trash day. Someone put stacks and stacks of records from the 70's and 80's on top of their trash bins. They had either put everything on cd or had a religious conversion, lol.
I remember on top was the Blondie album where Debbie Harry had an arrow "going thru" her head.
Yes, we came back with a car and picked them all up.
Thanks for bringing up that memory.

When I was in my early 20’s I lived in the Florida Keys. One night at dinner with friends in Key Largo, we noticed a Lamborghini in the parking lot. When we met with our friends inside the restaurant, we asked if they saw the Lamborghini outside, of course they did and went further to say, “it belongs to Blondie, she’s right over there!”. Well, I was star-struck and against my husband’s and friends wishes, I decided to walk by her on the way to the restroom. She was sitting at the end of the bar by herself and as I got closer to her, she looked over to her right and smiled at me!!! I smiled back and told her that I was so excited to see her, but I kept walking as I said it. She touched my arm and I stopped and we chatted. She was SO kind and gracious with her time, asked me to join her (I didn’t, and I kick myself for not!), she spoke with me, asked me questions about my workout routine (back then when I was in shape!). It was just an amazing experience! And…she was so incredibly beautiful in person! Ugh…still kicking myself over that missed opportunity. And my husband and friends still gave me such a hard time when I got back to the table bc I “bothered” her! 😳

I have watched you for years and you look better now than when I started watching you! I loved Crosby Stills and Nash the most - their music just transported me to a happy place - if that makes any sense. You will never need any work done on your face - you are so beautiful. I also have a health issue that makes me scared to do anything and the cost as well honestly. Sending you Love and Best Wishes my friend. xoxo Deb :-)

I agree with you about waiting until you are older to get involved in a relationship. I married young and I regret that I did that - I shouldn't have married at all. Just not my thing. I'm too independent. I had an opportunity to travel with a friend and gave that up for a guy - I will always regret that. I wish women would just embrace their age more. I look my age and that's good! I don't want to look 45 when I'm 80!

By listening to any Santana song, I can tell you what was going on in my life at the time the song was popular. I was also crazy about Fleetwood Mac (what girl didn’t want to BE Stevie Nicks? Lol), ZZTop, Grand Funk, Van Morrison and Janis Joplin. Wow, we had the greatest music to listen to!

Linda & I both liked the guys in the motorcycle gangs. Thank you Lord we were never raped . My Mother did not know what I was getting up too. If she found out I would’ve been locked up forever. My life was music. I went to lots of rock concerts. Tickets were so cheap then. I also hate injustice & cruelty with a passion. My blood boils when I hear things that happen to people. I also value honesty. Things that make me smile are children, beautiful garden’s & gorgeous men on TikTok. Love you, Lucy

I’ve been in the beauty industry for decades (I’m 65) working with luxury beauty products and they all work ok but if you’re interested in a less invasive procedure than surgery or even botox, please look into Fractional RF Microneedling. It helps rejuvenate the skin by triggering your body to stimulate and make more collagen hence improved texture and firmness. I’m looking into it myself and am very tempted to book an appointment. Let me know what you think after you research it. 😊

    Confidence is a tough one.
I think when a child is needy (or a teen) it's because of needs not being met by the parents. I was very aware to build-up my children's love tank and make sure that any emotions that came up were acknowledged and validated. When a girl doesn't feel loved and is needy I believe she goes looking even searching desperately for it. It's just as vital to thriving as food. God made us to require interaction the giving and taking of physical affection, encouragement, and investment from family, in our lives and support interests so we feel balanced. If the balance is off we feel the deficit and innately look for someone or something to make up the difference. Of course parents are imperfect, but they should be alert and vigilant to tend to that little ones heart. So as a "grown ass woman" we feel the deficit in our spouse who is also imperfect. We feel it at work or in our lack of close friendships. The tendency to wander for something to compensate can be overwhelming. This is where my relationship with the One who created and knows me best comes through. He fills the deficit that God shaped hole we've heard about. Im his girl. While I feel the weight of responsibility to meet others needs, it cannot be complete. If it could then God would have phased Himself out.
Glad you haven't considered invasive procedures. They almost always look worse. From what I've heard from dermatologists derma rolling can be dangerous when not administered professionally. I guess they consider it invasive. Something to check out.
Most importantly though...NOT LIKE QUEEN?? I'm not sure we can be friends.😄xo

Just always love your videos Melissa, you truly have the kindest heart. Even if you weren’t scared to have surgeries or Botox, you don’t need a stitch of anything done to your beautiful face. You are STUNNING. I read something the other day that said you can take no credit for being beautiful at 16 but being beautiful at 61 is a work of your soul. I believe that’s true. I think having such a caring, beautiful heart can really make people stay beautiful as they age. I know so many ladies that are so precious and selfless and they just remain gorgeous year after year.
