Looks fantastic, brother! Keep on bringing the goodies! Be safe out there. Peeps forget about us on the road, more so at the beginning of the riding season!
Agree. Definitely makes it seem like a semi easy swap. But nothing is ever an easy task when it comes to working on these damn bikes lol. Always something happens it seems.
In all honesty. Their machining is very good on their cosmetic stuff. Like the derby and trans covers. But when it comes to motor components or steering components. Idk. Never seen or used them. So I can’t vouch. But imo, I’d rather pay more for proven quality
Either RevZilla or JP cycles. Can’t remember which one?. But they should be vented in the cap and your tank should be vented through under your seat via the vent tube. It’s so crazy that your pressure expanded like that. Malfunction somewhere. A system that’s in place to prevent that. Didn’t work. But I have a replacement tank dash coming from AdvanBlack.
@@Gimps_Garage I would be cautious brother. Just lookin out for ya guy. Hate to see something like what happened to me, happen to you. Bike is looking great bud! Keep up the good work.
@@TheVeroneeLife yeah that’s partly why I ordered a different dash. I noticed that most of these tank dashes with these pop up caps could possibly be made by the same one company. So I hit up AdvanBlack for a new tank dash and doing a screw on cap that is aspirated out of the cap.
@@TheVeroneeLife I’m curious what could’ve caused your spark tho. When you did your bars, did you happen to maybe knock the ground wire loose that plugs from the frame to the top triple tree? that’s by the clamp area
@@Gimps_Garage Im not sure, the bars clamped in the factory clamp. Didn’t have to alter the top tree at all. The fuel ran down to where the coils are, I’m guessing it caught there, since the flames came out from under the seat area.
@@Gimps_Garage I thought they were! I wanted to adjust the speedometer gauge cluster but I forgot if they were Allen or torx! I didn’t want to take the chance of stripping the bolt! The Torx fit but not the Allen… btw those fm bars are really easy to scratch! 😂
What size wire loom is required? Diameter. Overall it doesn’t look hard to install. I just got quoted 3,900 + tax. F-that I’m gonna tackle the install myself
@@davidmatias6239 I never installed my fork lock that came with it it. But you can if you’d like. Just put it in before you mount your triple tree to the forks
It looks like it would be blocked off. But it’s only 20% of the bottom of the screen is blocked from my view sitting down. Really I don’t ever look at my screen while riding unless it’s GPS. But can use my phone on the quad lock for GPS 🤘🏻🤙🏻
@@Gimps_Garage- I have a 23 Fast Johnnie RG and was thinking about the set up.. but kinda OCD about stuff like that, love the look and I know it would be more comfortable for me at 6’3”…. Maybe they make a set up that goes under the Handlebar?
@Bikerbug2020 your gas cap is on the side. You can run the gauges under the top clamp. In front of the riser. I can’t because of where my fuel cap is at. The gauges would be in the way when fueling
I’m 6’1” and both my wrists are fused. This is by far the best setup I’ve ever had. Comfortable. The response from the front tire is insanely faster. No more neck and back/shoulder pinching. I would recommend it
Nice!! 🤘🏻🤌🏻🔥 those Kraus boys know what they’re doing
They do indeed! Precision cut components. Top notch machining. 💪🏻
Great job Gimp! Looks great!!
Thank you, Kevin 🤘🏻 appreciate the support and kind words

Great job.
Thanks for posting
@@kc-ur6lu you’re welcome. Thanks for watching and I hope it helps you and others
Great video. Makes it look a lot more straight-forward than what I had in mind. Thanks.
It’s quite the project. But a little knowledge, patience and perseverance, anyone can do it. 💪🏻

I plan on using the NICECNC set up for my SGS.

Nice!
Where did you get the tank center console? looks similar to the one that caused the fire on my old bike.

What’s up brother! 👋 what type of bolt is that for the bar clamp?? Allen? Or torx
They are Allen heads if I’m remembering correctly
